We just planned a Thanksgivng trip and I know that reservations will be scarce that week. I have Thanksgiving day taken care of, but I was thinking counter service for several meals. Please tell me some of your favorites in each park. We also want to tour the resorts to see Christmas decorations, so suggestions for resort counter service would also be helpful.

We like Columbia Harbour House in MK.

We REALLY liked the Tusker House in AK, but closed on August 20 and will reopen on November 17 as a full serve buffet restaurant.

We like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

DH likes the Toluca Legs Turkey Co. at MGM.

When you said around the World, I thought you meant World Showcase so I'll go with that first.

Mexico - outdoor place - lines are usually fairly long and seating could be a problem. But it's no big deal to get what you want to go and eat elsewhere.

Norway - the bakery has some decent open faced sandwiches (ham and cheese and turkey and cheese)

China - Louts Blossom Cafe is a favorite of ours - usually not that busy and the cashiers will have pictures of the dishes to help you choose - hint - the kids meal of fried rice and egg roll is fantastic.

America - burgers and fries but the outdoor seating area is hardly ever full. You can successfully take that Mexican food around to America and eat it there.

Japan - Yakatori House. I'm not adventrous at all but my husband and I got a couple of meals to share and it was a nice change. Limited seating, though (see hint about to go and the Liberty Inn at America).

Morocco - Tangerine Cafe. Not really our style but it's there if you want it.

United Kingdom - Fish and chips. Get to go and enjoy in the garden area back where the British Invasion plays (even better if they are playing).

Other parks -

Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom - the seating area is wonderful for a great break. It's pretty big so keep walking and get down around the water. Lots of ducks and ibises walking around (they rule, you don't).

Not much at MGM so we stick to soft pretzels. Faltbread Grill usually isn't that busy and they have a full bar right next to it. The back of the park location makes it as quiet as it can be.

Magic Kingdom - Casey's hot dogs and fries.

The Boardwalk area has a take out pizza window and a hot dog kiosk with shared seating. Pretty nice to get a few things to share and people watch.

The best pizza is at the Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can order a whole pie as well as slices.

Mexico, nothing here because the food is terrible and the chicken is dark thigh grisly meat

Norway, school bread

China, anything from the new Tea Stand, egg rolls and beef noodle bowl

Germany, brat with kraut, pretzel

Italy, we like to buy a few chocolates to share

USA, a nice latte

Morrocco, rotisserie chicken with saffron rice and olive salad

Japan, love a melon Kakigori but will not eat the CS food..again dark chicken thigh grisly meat

France, chocolate croissant or napoleon

England, a nice cup of tea

Canada, maple candies
