Take a pic or text your photopass number to yourself!

Back from a fun, family, food filled,great visit. Took lots of pictures and had a wonderful time at Typhoon Lagoon, but lost one of phototags from there. I've always made copies of our park passes and kept thinking I should make a copy of our photopasses, but it never occurred to me, until after I lost one, to take a picture of the photopass number, or to text it to myself. Got in on the DVC photopass oportunity,but will be missing some fun pics from the water park... and since I continued to use the small tags from there later in our stay, I don't know if I'm missing other photos too. Disney photo people helpful, but not able to locate the missing pics,

I was going to tell you all is not necessarily lost, but it sounds like you've already been working with PhotoPass to locate your lost pictures. Usually, if you can tell them the date, time, and location of a picture you took, they can find your lost card number. Did you try with the PhotoPass folks in the park, or with customer service after you got home?

Log into the PhotoPass web site, then click on "help" on the top menu bar. One of the options (near the top on the left side) is "Lost Disney's PhotoPass Card." It takes you to a form where you tell them a location, date, and time where you remember having a picture taken with the lost card. There's also a place to provide information about the members of your family in the pictures. You can also upload pictures of yourself for them to compare to.

If you haven't tried this form yet, give it a shot.

To the OP - I wish you luck as well in finding your missing photos, but I wanted to also thank you for the good advice. I only ordered the CD once but intend to do it again for our next vacation. I love the idea of texting the number to myself, but I also think I will just write the number of any new card down when I return to the hotel and stick it in my suitcase.
