My DME :drive: paperwork and tags came in the mail today. YEA!!!!! :woohoo:

Inside it has my flight arrival information (Southwest into MCO) and my departure information. There are 4 vouchers inside, but only one of them has details printed on it. The one that does is my voucher to POFQ from MCO. Why are the other 3 blank? Why is my return information not on these vouchers? I've never used DME before, so this is all new to me.

I just got mine today also for my Nov. 18 arrival. It seems like there are 4 vouchers to a page so if you are traveling alone they only print 1 of those and the rest left blank to keep the page together. Does that make sense?

We have 3 people so 3 of the 4 vouchers are printed.

The reason you don't have a return voucher is because you are leaving from a Disney resort....they know you belong there and are not just mooching a ride from the airport thus the vouchers TO the hotel.

Also they may keep track on the arrivals in case someone "no shows" and they can sell that hotel room again. Can you imagine forgetting you have a trip to Disney World planned and just never showing up? But in this day and age, I'm sure there are some folks out there who believe they can just book it, pay for it and if they don't show up it's ok. They probably think they can get a refund for not showing up. I used to work for a cruise line and sometimes there would be a passenger who never showed up, you call their house and they are there. Simply forgot about the trip.

If SOLO thenThey are fine and will explain the voucher to you when you check-in.

They are also used as the return trip But like Zoesmama stated they may or may not scan them in on the return.

They need to have it for the flight down as once they scan you boarding the bus they can release your bags for you and have then trucked to POGQ

Is your Dsis flying in with you? If so, there should be two vouchers printed up with info. However, even if she is flying with you and using DME, she can still checkin at the DME desk and get her voucher then. I actually packed my entire packet in my checked luggage for one trip.....I had nothing to show at the DME checkin desk...but they just laughed at me and printed up a new voucher.
But, if you are the only one using DME then you will have just the one voucher printed up. The remaining three will be blank.

No, my DSis is flying in on another day. She's either going to add her clothes to my suitcase, so I'll only have 1 bag to be checked when I fly out first or she'll take her clothes in a carry-on bag. Either way, she can just go straight to the DME desk from the gate and not have to worry about waiting at baggage claim. I've never used DME before and was not sure how everything worked. Thanks everyone for your input.

Everything is in my Passporter, which is in my carry-on bag with me. This way I have my flight confirmations, DME vouchers, DYW package confirmation, ADR confirmations and my Mousekeeping envelopes all in one place.

You should have a DME voucher for your DSis, only two of the vouchers should be blank. Call DME.

The vouchers are stamped and scanned on your trip from MCO to WDW and are collected by the bus driver on your return from WDW to MCO.

That's why I mentioned her DSis.....if her sister is listed on her (Terk-1's) resort reservation, then she should also have a voucher in that packet. But, if she is traveling with her (Dsis) own resort resevation and her own DME reservation then she should have her own voucher in her packet.

So....Terk-1, is she on your resort reservation? That would mean that she is on your DME reservation also, and should have a voucher. Now, if she doesn't have it with her when she gets to the desk, it's not going to be in issue. They'll just make one for her at that time. But, if she isn't listed on the DME reservation to begin with, it will be an issue. She has to be listed on the resort reservation in order to travel on DME. That was what concerned me.

Come to think of it I think Terk is adding his DSis to the reservation when he gets to the resort. He'll have to make sure to call DME and make a reservation in advance or his DSis will have to pay Mears.

I'm a she, not a he.

I have a MYW package. DSis does not. I spoke with Disney CRO & the front desk at POFQ and was told that she can be added as a second person in the room without it changing my package, but have to wait until the day I check in to do it, since it won't be a package anymore, but rather pieces. You are allowed 2 adults per room for the same rate as 1 adult. I was also told (by both CRO & DME) that once I check in and add her name to the room, she will then be listed as a Disney Resort guest and will be able to use DME at no charge. They just asked me to make sure I do this on the day I check in, to allow enough time for it to appear in the DME's system.

Just called DME again to confirm what I was told before. The CM was very nice and I explained how I was on a package and coming in on one day and that my sister is not on a package, but will be joining me a few days later as a guest in my room. She said that this was not a problem. Once I check in and have my sister's name added to the room, she said for me to call DME and give them her flight information and that she would be all set. She did mention that there would not be enough time to get tags out for her luggage, but I explained that she was not checking any luggage and would head straight to DME from the plane.
