How frightening! Where are "The Lakes"? Are they off Millbrook? If so, I'm glad you moved as that is not a good area.....need to be closer to inner beltline...I love the old neighborhoods with the big old houses....we LOVE where we live and are lucky to be here! But I think Raleigh is such a great place anyway, especially with children!

I do---I was joking a bit. I am a proud auntie to a beautiful blond seven year old new Texan (she was born in NY, moved a couple of months later to WI, then Fl for about 4 or 5 years, now TX). I have to get a new pic up of her.

cadburysmom--I'm going to be about 5-10 minutes from the new 540 extension. I hope it finishes early. NC Beast works near the Fuddruckers off of Millbrook----that why we were at the apts. The Lakes are by TJ Maxx off of Sandy Forks near Lynn Rd. I walked one time from Crabtree Valley Mall to the Lakes, never again---North Hills is correctly named---lots of hills.

Losing track of the QOTD so opening a separate window so I can keep track...hmmm...

1st trip? sophomore in college so 19 years old...spring break with my boyfriend...his dad put us up at the Marriott Orlando World Resort in a 3 room suite on his frequent stay freebies and gave us leftover tickets for WDW...so we only paid for food!! (DH, standing over my shoulder, doesn't like this story much. Oh well... scoreboard ...dumped that BF to date/marry DH!!) But I digress...the Marriott World Resort is a NICE place to stay...great pool....and the suites are fabulous! If we were back early, we could see all the fireworks every night from our balcony....

celebrity crushes? Don't really have any that I can remember right now....used to like Tom Cruise when I was younger, but he got all weird.

Reality shows? Missed the Swan, but it does sound awful. And the "extreme makeover" thing just ends up being creepy. Like it or not, how you look is somewhat a part of who you are. At some point, after SO many changes, don't you cease to be yourself?

Reality shows to be or not to be on?
--Would love to do Trading Spaces or another on of the designer type shows. Would think about "What Not to Wear" but I don't think I'm out of style enough to get picked...but I would love some pointers on best looks/cuts for my body style.
--Could never do Fear Factor (too disgusting) or extreme makeover (I no longer have a great bod, but I don't hate myself that much) or American Idol (I have no illusions about my singing voice...it's awful!!).

That's quite a long walk...must be in really great shape....you go girl!

I've always considered the area around TJ Maxx to be North Raleigh instead of North Hills, but you're right, those apts do look kinda scarey

I've seen lots of really nice new neighborhoods up around the new 540 extension. I don't make it up to Triangle Town Center too often but with that and the new Super Target, sounds like you've got it made in the shopping category!

How about creating a new reality show---The Real Fear Factor---Kirby Salespeople ringing doorbell until you answer....Jessie's howling didn't work in getting rid of this guy. He had a hard time believing that I didn't want a free carpet shampooing and a free bottle of Joy---I don't know where he parked---I'm in the country with farms around my subdivision. I was glad that I didn't have to get NC Beast awake to get rid of the salesman. I think I recognize him from last year--he was a Sparkle papertowel sales guy then.

No, I am not in great shape unless you think apple/pear shapes are good--that was back in 1999---NC Beast lock his keys in the car, went to call me at work, the phone booth was in the pool area, NC Beast's attempt to call me fails after 930pm, pool area was locked up as NC Beast was inside calling, he calls 911, cops show up at the pool, meanwhile 1030pm at the mall---no cell phone---tired after lonhg day--I walk home to see if NC Beast broke down since car was acting up, I see several police cars in front of pool area with lights flashing, I went to our apt (which was two buildings away from the pool, no NC Beast at home, He gets out of the pool area, he goes to the mall, He calls home, I answer, He returns, and well we laugh about it much later on.

I like to put tropical fruits on with marshmallows. We don't have peeps over here My favourite is when the marshmallow melts over the strawberry or pineapple I feel hungry now!!

I had some pink marshmallowy cookies-oops-biscuits- in Galway that would go great with some grilled pineapple. I might go overseas next year if things go right.
