LOL cadburysmom. Tell you what, I'll auction off DH. But you'll have to outbid RickinNYC. And I don't take any returns. Not even if you discover it's a defective product. Bwhaaaaaa!

BTW, just spoke to another neighbor who lives across the street, she and her kids are going to Myrtle Beach too :( . But she's leaving her husband home. And Eric's good friend from school is going too. Are they giving money away down there or something? I am going to have two bored kids on my hands next week.

1 family in London
3 families in Myrtle Beach
1 family in Atlanta/WDW
1 family in Arizona

Barb, sounds like you need a quick trip to WDW with the kids.

Oh Bichon Barb I'm sorry. I would offer to let you come and visit me so you could get a true taste of English life but I'm going to DLP! Are there any things you could do locally with your kids?

Getting caught up with y'all is taking FOREVER!!!

Which leads me to a QOTD:

Does your extended family and/or friends know that you DIS?
Yes, my sisters and their families know about y'all but the ILs (ohanafamily's family has no idea. They are all sticks in the mud and don't get Disney. Let's put it this way, they think Disney is just for kids. So everytime we go to WDW, other Disney resort, DCL they just think we're being immature.) I've also told a few friends when they start asking about info on Disney.

See Danauk, here is our weather forecast. Nothing to write home to mother about. :( I asked Eric if he wanted to go to the zoo, he poo-poo'ed that. (He's too cool for that now as he IS a fifth grader! ) I guess we could do things like go to the movies. (ho-hum)

Okay, I'm being a brat. ;)

Yep, that was me......he actually has called me several times for another date but I just don't think I want to.......I guess we had a good time but he's very "into" himself and asked me all sorts of questions that you just don't ask on a first date:rolleyes:......I knew he was nervous so I blew it off at first but as the night went on, it got down right aggravating......it seems he has dated lots of divorced women and is used to them throwing themselves at him and the reason he asked me out was because I ignored him at a party a couple of weeks before......he actually told me he's quite a catch and gave me a few compliments and said I was different from other women and then he began to "kiss and tell" a little.....well I'm no fool and if he would "kiss and tell" about those women, what would keep him from doing the same to me?....he even said I'm a class above the rest and actually used the word "pedigree".....the nerve! Well he is definitely NOT what I'm looking for. I was miserable in my first marriage and almost remarried a couple of years ago...but for all the wrong reasons. I actually like being "Queen of my own castle" and am old enough to know what I want in a man. All my friends say I'm crazy not to want to go out with him again but they just see a dentist with lots of money and he is quite charming but there IS a reason he's not married......

.......sorry about the rant, but I'm under a lot of pressure to go out with him again and I really don't want to.....Calgon take me away!:teeth:
Makes me think of the scene in Yours, Mine, and Ours where L.B.'s character is set up on a date with a real "touchy-feely" doctor who can't wait to get her home until he finds out she has 8 kids. Okay, I know your situation is totally different, but that's the kind of date I pictured.

I'm sorry your friends are being so pushy. I just hate when people mean well but have no clue what the real situation is.

Bichon Barb perhaps you could join us in DLP the weather there is forcast for being slightly warmer.:sunny:

Quick check in with a question. If you eat chocolate cake by taking a fork and cutting off little pieces right from the cake itself--you know, like trimming the sides to make them nice and straight--that doesn't count right? It's the same as if you didn't eat any of it, right?
Absolutely NO calories, NO fat, NO carbs. :teeth:

A new QOTD (besides our DD planning):

What airport do you fly out of to get to WDW and how long does it take?
We fly out of DFW. The flight is about 2 hours, but with to/from airport and the wait time at airports it's about a 5 hour trip from the time we leave home until the time we get to WDW resort.

I have another QOTD: What was the last WDW resort you stayed at?
Our last Disney trip we stayed at the Grand Californian at Disneyland. Our last trip to WDW we stayed at Beach Club Villas. Our upcoming trip we're trying out Villas at Wilderness Lodge. (Next time we stay at non-DVC property I want to try Animal Kingdom Lodge.)

Okay! :hyper:

Oh shoot! That's right. I can't. The French us hate Americans. :teeth: ;)

BTW, how is DLP doing? I remember the stink that was made when they opened it. "Zoze fet Americans and zere Mickey Mouse! Vee don't need zem coming here. Vee are a cultured people."

I'm just kidding!!! I'd love to go there someday. Rob wants to go to Ireland, and I want to go to Austria. But now our neighbors have us wanting to go to England. But then again, I've always wanted to go to Greece. :scratchin

Well, maybe someday.

Another QOTD:

Name three cities/countries that you want to go to someday:

Austria (Vienna)
Greece
A train trip through the Andes

DH's - Ireland, Australia and probably somewhere with good skiing

I highly recommend jumping in rain puddles! ::yes:: DS12 and I did some puddle jumping on Monday....we ended up laughing hysterically! :hyper: Also, how about roller skating or ice-skating? I always like to do things that are active.....don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a good movie but I love to be moving! (Maybe that comes from all the time I spent in ballet class and sports growing up??)

If you get really bored you can come visit me in Idaho! We have this "Swiss Cheese Village" a few miles away and they have an animated talking cow

LOL RRBB. I guess we ask a lot of questions. Welcome back and have fun reading.

Hey! I resemble that remark!! That's yet another reason we don't have a cleaning lady....they don't do clutter and I'd actually have to find time to declutter before she could come clean every 2 weeks!!

You got me, kadaten! I've got to de-clutter for the cleaning lady tonight! I think it's a bigger job than the cleaning she does!

Can I run away yet? My kids are driving me nuts...and I had time to myself last night. Too bad it didn't last longer. Sorry, don't know where this is going, just had to post anyway LOL.

Tigger Fans!, I have an old friend from high school who lives in Boise. Saw him at the 20th reunion this summer. :teeth:

How is your weather this time of year?

Maybe there is a Holiday Inn nearby and you can go swimming???
BTW your weather is forecasted to be warmed then ours, so a trip to chi town isn't gonna be fun.. Although we have an ESPN Zone that the boys can live at.....

How far are you from the Baseball Hall of Fame? Or a quick trip to Washington DC.. At Hotwire they have 2 nights and round trip airfare from Syracuse for $ 237 per person..

Hi Carlen. How old are they? I have two boys, 8 and 10. They like to fight.

Carlen T Hi.. might as well be nuts like the rest of us..
 try a lot of chocolate and a glass or two of wine..
