Lewski709 Very familiar with the 2 nap thing! Walt has to have both morning and afternoon....the days when I go to mom's group twice a month he can't sleep (toddler room....no cribs...lots of other kids) and the rest of the day is shot! Folks wonder why I don't do storytime at the library every week....but it's at 10am....naptime for Buddy and if he WAS at storytime....well, let's just say it would be canceled or we would be thrown out. Boy loves his nap and makes sure you know he wants it, and wants it NOW!

Thanks for saying I sound like a fun mom! That really makes my morning. Like everyone else, many days I just don't think I'm doing enough or enough things right Like Abbie loves art projects but every time we try to do one, Brother clears the table, yanks the papers away...just prevents it....so I've stopped trying. No wonder Abbie begs to go to preschool every day!

As for the weekends, I finally have DH understanding that I NEED a little time to myself. He takes the kids to lunch every Saturday and I get to do what I want...that's when I go shopping or get a haircut or whatever. If we have an outing planned, he takes Walt and I take Abbie for the day...Sundays we all tend to spend at home together. As for the chores....well let's just say my house isn't the cleanest....we get the basics done, but dusting and windows and baseboards and stuff that my MIL freaks out about basically only get done when she's coming to visit...or when she's here (she loves to clean)....I'd much rather do stuff with the kids. Laundry we both pitch in and do it constantly so it doesn't stack up for weekends, as we both hate feeling trapped by chores.

Working on the weekends is finally rare around here (although he does have 2 coming up ). DH worked shift work, constantly changing schedules, for 4.5 years....and is FINALLY on a normal Mon-Fri schedule. When he was working his 2 or 4 weeks of nights he'd be in bed before the kids were up, wake for snack and leave for work before dinner.....they never saw him. He had more time off on that schedule, but was so tired it wasn't worth it.

Abbie's on a paint-your-own-pottery field trip with her class today She should be having a great time! If her teacher says she did well, maybe we'll do something like that together next!

I am Lutheran. Rob is Catholic. When the boys were born, I suggested that we raise them Catholic, because I know how important Rob's religion is to him. But the kids will learn to accept and respect all religions.

Personally, I don't need to be in a Lutheran church to feel God. I can hike in the woods and feel spiritual. Last year Rob changed churches. It's a great congregation, very musical mass, and I really like the priest, so I've been attending almost regularly with Rob and the kids.

Wow you guys have been quiet!! I only had to catch up on 2 1/2 pages since I last posted!

[COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] I'm not sure if you'll read this before you go but I hope you have a great trip.

I went down to the post office after work to pick up my package, but it wasn't my oreos, it was a DVD from Amazon that I had ordered. Hopefully the oreos should be here any day now, I know post from the USA can take over a week to get here and the postal service in my area isn't the best ever!!

So how has everyones day been (or is still going I guess!)? Mine was OK I guess. Our girls won the town football (soccer) competition today which was great. I got a little annoyed though this afternoon as there are 3 teachers who are supposed to work in my team, myself another woman and a guy. The trouble is the guy does no work and the other girl and I are sick of having to do all the work which he then coppies. After school we were supposed to be planning the work for the children to do after the holidays. We have to write a long term plan, what we want to cover each week in each subject and ehat resources we plan to use then we do plans each week based on this. However he just will not help us plan!! After school we were supposed to have a meeting to carry on with the planning however he said he wanted to go home. But the guy who gives him a lift made him stay! But that was little use as he just sat texting on his mobile!! So the other girl and I have decided that our team just consists of us two now. I feel really sorry for the kids in his class but we just can't take it any more!! Oh well rant over.

I guess I better go and have my dinner now, weight watchers BBQ chicken pizza and salad followed by a low fat bread and butter pudding. I am determined to stick to the diet religiously for the next two weeks to loose a little weight before going to DLP as I tried some clothes on last night and they were a little tight!

Have a good evening everyone, I have a little more house work to do after dinner followed by a little TV watching I think.

Hi all.... Work is just getting in the way of wanting to catch up with everyone... oh well!!.. I am going to start unpacking once I get home...Brought some things back for everyone from DCL... I brought back lots of shrimps, and crab claws from Palo's, a whole lot of the warm chocolate lava cake, ( YUMMY) several of cases of Mickey Dove bars, plus a shipment of Konk Koolers..
