The last things I do before leaving on a trip are water the plants, check over my "final things to pack" list, check all the lights in the house, make sure the computers are turned off, set the alarm, and lock the doors.

kadaten, I think it was you who said turn off the water. HELLO! Married to a plumber! The water must be shut off! I think you also reminded me about the cell phone charger! Thanks, last time all we had was the car charger.

Time to put all my babies in their beds for a good night's rest.

If I don't get by here in the morning - take care of each other, be good but NOT too good.

Where the heck is Barb? Haven't seen her all day.

Check on DHB for me. She's so lost without me.

back from my first trip to the windy city! i must say, it's a wonderful place and i loved it and i got to see and go places i never thought i would (and that's just shopping!) i also bought a cute graduation dress that i am very proud of. lol! anyway, i must be off now....

OMG....I have no idea! I'm an ebay old-timer...been ebay-in' for almost 7 years now!! Knowing me, it was probably some of the china we collect....

Which brings to mind another QOTD:
Do you collect anything and if so, what?

I collect lots of things (too many!)....
--Franciscan china (16 of the 18 hand-painted patterns)
--vintage Winnie-the-Pooh items (I was called "Pooh" from the day I was born)
--antique linens, especially redwork and silk embroidery
--family photos and old frames for them
--teapots
--craft supplies (has to be deemed a collection because I don't use them enough )

DH collects
--stamps
--all things Peanuts...I think he wept the day Charles Shultz died
--Charles Dickens books and paraphenalia

Wow! Lots of QOTDs today....

First thing I bought off of Ebay was prolly a Beanie Baby!

The last thing I do before I leave the house is make sure I have my purse with everything in it and wave bye-bye to the cats.

What do I collect? Hrm... I used to collect Beanie Babies (have like 1000 of them, or something. I also collect Longaberger Baskets, Cow Parade mini statues, shot glasses, anything Disney! Anything Disney Wedding! I think that might be it, but I am sure there is more... I'm neurotic that way!

First E-Bay Purchase? My Nephew wanted a rare Pok-E-Mon card, and he had no credit card...It's a shame his parents can be such jerks....

What do I collect? DW would say "Everything", "Lot's of Junk". Realistically, Disney Memorobelia...Steiff Stuffed Animals, Electronics (all sorts), lots of other stuff too. One thing I like collecting more than anything else is friends.....

QOTD: First ebay purchase was some Disney pin that I wanted. The sad thing is I can't remember which one it was now.

QOTD: I have a couple of collections that my grandfather started me on - dolls from foreign countries in costume and foreign coins/money. He used to travel a lot and would always bring home his leftover change and give it to me and my sisters. He'd also always bring us a doll from the countries he visited wearing costume of the area. I have a rather large collection from my grandfather's travels. And when I was in college I did the "student hop on train, travel around Europe all summer" thing one year and doubled the size of my collection in three months.

I forgot to tell y'all something. My new cell phone came in today. ohanafamily and I ran over the the FedEx office to pick up the package before we went to dinner. He's now in the process of getting it all set up for me.

(Deadheadbelle, you really should get a cell phone. They're great for emergencies and for [COLOR=FF66CC]SIL[/COLOR] to get in touch with you when she's running late or can't make it.)

Geesh! Heading out of town in just a little bit and I stop by here and nobody has been in here to make breakfast YET!

OK, just a quickie breakfast - Pop Tarts, all the new Disney cereals, toast and jelly, bagels and cream cheese assorted fruits and yogurt. Get whatever you want to drink out of the fridge, coffee will be ready in a minute.

I gotta go check on something, be right back.

Just as I thought, the weather should be beautiful. It seems that Florida's weather as far as precipitation goes, is exactly opposite of what we get in KY. For instance we are often in a drought in summer and they get like 7" of rain a month. Right now it is raining almost everyday, and there is nary a rainy day in their forecast.

Waiting on DH to gas up the van and pick up some med's for the trip. The airport is a one-hour drive. Our flight leaves at noon, we connect through Birmingham and arrive at Orlando at 3:30.

Holly and Ella still sleeping, Daniel has risen, but slumped back into the couch. He can't sleep.

The bags are all packed except for the last minute stuff. I got everything into 3 bags! Yeah, they're big bags, but still. Quite proud of myself.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_20_47.gif' border=0></a>

I need to finish getting dressed. Need to re-consider what I choose to wear on the plane. These pants are too big and besides that they are low-riders on the waist. Too big + low riders = butt crack!
