Good afternoon all, any one care to join me in a Cornish cream tea? - a cup of tea and a fruit scone with jam (jelly) and cream (scones over here are like what you call biscuits only they are sweet with raisins or cherries in).

Eerm, I hate to tell you guys but those scotch pancakes don't actully contain the drink scotch. They are called scotch pancakes as they origionally come from Scotland! I guess that is another thing we have over here which you guys don't.

So does anyone have anything good planned for today? I have just got back from the garden centre with the bamboo I wanted and a few spring plants which I have put in my tubs at the front of our house and it a wall basket. It looks like spring is here!! Yesterday we actually managed to mow the lawn so the garden looks much better.

I guess this afternoon I have to finish my weekly cleaning The oven needs to be cleaned and the floors mopped!! Then I have lessons to finish planning for next week at work.

Oh well I guess I better get on. Does anyone want to join me in transatlantic chat later on? I hope to speak with some of you then.

Screen: at home, my picture of my kids at WDW. Silly as I see them daily, but it's a great photo. At work: Windows screen, not allowed to download any unless they are on a CD and I don't have em.

Wow, will all the BBQ sauce and BBQ talk, I am hungry. There is nothing better than a BBQ Po Boy all dressed with slaw. I love it with cornbread. And, boy oh boy, BBQ Corned Beef Brisket is the BEST! A lot of catch up here!!!

Deadheadbelle, those heads in my signature actually do represent 11 of us who are going on the Land/Sea, and there's actually 3 other families going along, too! (You're welcome DU Travel !!!) One of the families is coming from Poland! They are there for 3 yrs. with P & G out of Cinci.

Old QOTD: My desktop picture the 2003 Christmas Card picture of my 3 kids, 2 furbabies, and 1 furgrandbaby. No other pictures on the actual desk... it's small and there's no room. My slideshow is all the pictures we have downloaded on the computer for the last 2 years ... anything from Disneyland to San Francisco to snowy Columbus to sunny Nashville to high-end gourd art my MIL does ... it is so random.

Bichon Barb - Congrats on Syracuse. I wish I'd picked them! I only got 5 right last night... but so far I still have 3 of the final 4 in. My fingers and toes are crossed for a comeback! KY better bring it home today!

I've not been here long, but these crazy people are so nice, you'll feel like you've been here a lot longer than you really have. Hey, I missed that BBQ... getting a chance to sit on the island and relax is tough on weekends ... the family just doesn't understand and has me off doing too many other things. Will you do up some ribs for us sometime soon?

Danauk - Thanks for the scotch pancakes. I saw a recipe for black pudding and thought about making it for y'all, but wondered if it's any good... what do you think? Sounds nasty!!! And I'm jealous of your spring. We're in better shape than Barb because our snow is all melted, except the big snow bulldog we built now just looks like a pile of bulldog poopie. We do have a few daffodils starting to grow, but it's windy and cold and I think the temp is going down to 22 tonight. I am sick of sweatshirts!!!

My DH got some bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns and tomatos along with some black pudding to do a traditional English cooked breakfast (although we are having it for dinner! - my diet starts again tomorrow). I will only have one piece but DH will probably have more, I find it a little too salty after one piece.

Lewski709 thanks for putting the oreos in the post Your chocolate will be on its way soon. I'm just waiting to get clearence from the US food administration as I can't post food goods without it (our post office will not acept parcles with food in heading for the US without customs clearence!) If I don't get the clearence aparently the US customs might destroy the package I'll try to get the clearence today. I tried yesterday but the forms were really confusing!!

HAve you tried just highlighting the code, copying and pasting it? I thought I made it so that's all you have to do but I could have goofed. It was late last night so who knows. (I'll go check it out.)

Now you know how I felt when Arizona blew it in the first round. My only hope is that OK State goes all the way because my other picks for the Final Four got the boot yesterday.

But the short of it..each set should contain a post card, something to represent where you are from, and optionally something to represent who you are. There needs to be one set for each other participant in the swap. You mail the 20+/- sets to us with a return label and return postage (Figure it as the cost of what you ship + $2.00. We will return any extra.) You can also enclose a personal note, or a small nick-nack for us to forward to any other person on the swap (I will check export regs for anything doing abroad) Also, no illegal items please.

And boo hoo those silly Texas Longhorns beat me beloved TAR HEELS last night Oh well, it was a GREAT game though!

[COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR], do you remember Wyatt Taylor? He passed away a few years after I grew out of it. I loved the jeep trips. I actually made it passed Lightning Skipper... I got an award for Navigation, and I hated boat repair.....

Dances were fun though...One of my councelors was the Duke Blue Devil...What a hoot he was.....

Well after 90 minutes of filling in forms I finally have permission to send chocolate to the USA.!! So any of you guys who are expecting chocolate parcles, I have permission to post them next Saturday (who would have thought it would be so hard to post chocolate!)

Black pudding sounds quite discusting when you describe it! It is kind of a blood, oatmeal and spiced sausage which you heat up. It is usually served sliced into circles.

I guess now that it took ages to get permission to post chocolate I better think of something else to post for the swap. I think I have an idea, I'll have to see if it is possible.

I have a quick question re: danauk shipments -
"Swap Items - Make sure whatever you include can be shipped internationally to Danauk... No Meat, Produce, Plants, live or dead animals. "
She's been talking about how much trouble she's had getting chocolate sent out, can we send chocolate over to her. It's not mentioned in the swap notes, I just don't want any trouble.
