Woof Woof, I am in the Dog House...

I installed my DVD recorder, and RRBB wanted me to dust. It is not exactly the easiest place to dust, and she handed me a feather duster. I tried, but it just didn't do a good job. She came in upset at me for not dusting, I said OK, and blew the dust out. She is not very happy with me. She is trying to domesticate me, and, well, it isn't going that easy for her. Oh Well, at least I got it hooked up. I wonder if I should complain, it was an open box floor model and wasn't marked. I know this for a few reasons; 1, it had the display signage in the box. 2, it was not packed in plastic. 3, the manual has been very well used.

BTW, I don't think she will add the Black pudding to the recipe file; it grosses her out.

:bounce:

GLub, glub, glub, RRBB, aren't ya glad you're not going down alone? I can't believe my momma's KY lost. Glub, glub, glub. :(

i know iluvtink, that game was stressful!!! UAB of all teams! urgh!

Oh, from the archives, another good recipe...

Being a lover of Mars Bars myself and wishing for a visit from the tag fairies, I have searched and found this Mars Bar recipe just for you!

FRIED MARS BARS

Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 1

Ingredients:
1 Mars Bar
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup corn flour
A pinch of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda to Yanks)
Milk or beer
Oil for deep frying

Directions:
Chill the chocolate bar by keeping it in the fridge, but don't freeze it.
Mix the flours and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) together.
Add milk (traditional) or beer (which gives a lighter result) until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream.
Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but don't allow to smoke.
Remove wrapper from chilled chocolate bar. Coat completely in batter. Carefully lower into hot oil and fry until golden brown. Serve, with ice cream or french fries, if you're so inclined.
(Of course, if you want to be sophisticated, like the Tag Fairies, you can cut the bar into bite-sized pieces before coating in batter.)

Sounds gross but I thought it may attract a Tag Fairy or 2 to pay me a visit.

CLAP, CLAP, CLAP... I believe in Tag Fairies!!!

Makes no difference to me who wins that game since I don't even have any teams left in that bracket.

FPgurl04 - I left a fudge truffle cheesecake in the kitchen earlier. If it's all gone, I'll whip up another for ya! It's really really easy!

;)

You must share my Mantra of Life:

don't worry, you're not the only one doing horribly. my whole family is. i think we both need some leftover pizza for sulking and chocolate for consolation.

I think you're right FPgurl04. I'll meet you in the kitchen for a chocolatefest to drown our sorrows.

Okay, back to ohanafamily and the dusting, or lack there of. He decided to add another component to all the electronics we have in the bedroom. Well there's an inch of dust there still from when we had all that work done in the bathroom so I asked when he moved the stuff around that he dust first. (The maid is afraid to touch all that stuff since there are lots of wires.) I handed him a duster and sent him on his way. When I walked in a few minutes later I saw ping-pong sized balls of dust now floating around our bedroom. What the… So the duster was too big to fit underneath the component. Did he bother to go get a rag, or even ask me to, before he started huffing and puffing? NO! , And this from a man that has trouble sleeping with stuff in the air. Let's just say a few choice words flew out of my mouth to go along with the dust.

What is it with men? Why can’t they figure out how to get things for themselves – trash bags, dusting rags… Or is it just ohanafamily that can’t do this?

I'll come down and bring some Toblerones.....not as exciting as Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake....but hey, it's definitely chocolate!:teeth:

Sure, the more the merrier cadburysmom. We'll make a party of it, maybe even take it out back to the pool/hot tub. :teeth: Are there fireworks at the MK tonight that we can watch?

Well, all my teams are doing bad too....bit I still have UConn in it.

I also want to make note that I pass on anything with BLOOD in it. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_2_5.gif' border=0></a>

Oh, Kadaten (I'm not getting the color and losing this whole post ;) ), where is Chesapeake VA? Is it anywhere near Norfolk? My brother and SIL are in Norfolk. Wait, aren't you on the naval base? Two years ago during April vacation, we camped at Williamsburg for a week. My DS and BIL and niece drove up from Atlanta and met us there. I wish we could do it this year, but DH has a business trip. :( Anyway, I always say if we had to move, I think I'd want to move to that area. ::yes::
You got it! Chesapeake and Norfolk are right beside each other...share a few city boundary lines. DH is stationed at Naval Base Norfolk, but we live in Chesapeake in spite of the 25-mile commute...nicer, newer neighborhoods, better schools, more suburban than urban. Norfolk does have some nicer parts where the old houses have been restored or have always been kept up, but we can't afford those! Plus, we like being out in the 'burbs near the malls, strip malls, grocery stores, etc....more convenient.

We've been up to Williamsburg....antique-***, shopping, craft shows, etc. Never camped though...DH is one of those "roughing it is when the cable goes out" sorts :)

We do like the area a lot....close to beaches, big enough area to have stuff going on, but not SO big that you just want to leave (like DC was...). Close enough to the mountains to go up for the weekend, etc. Just wish it was closer to Atlanta...that's where his family is!! Small world, huh?
