Boy it's quiet here again, I guess people are out having fun. I'm bored again and it is still raining here - it is a good job we had to change our plans for fireworks this evening!!

Oh well back to watching the x-files....

I am not out having fun. I have been restricted to basically bed rest (no standing longer than 5 minutes, no sitting longer than 5 minutes, etc), so I am on the couch watching the ROCKY movies on AMC! Since I have had my surgery, I have been able to see them all; I am on ROCKY V right now. Pathetic, huh?

Oh I'm sorry. I hope your recovery speeds up so you can be up and about again soon.

How about watching all of the Lord of the Ring films back to back, that will pass 10 hours. Then you could watch all the Indiana Jones films (I'm looking at my DVD collection now!) I have every episode of Friends on DVD which could take a while for you to watch, plus every episode of Stargate SG1. Do you like the x-files? I have most of them too. I guess I have a big DVD collection!!!!

You do have a huge DVD collection! My DS would kill to have the Stargate SG-1 DVD sets! Yes, I love X Files, too! I still have to sit down without being interrupted to watch LOTR films; I have only watched bits and pieces of the first two!

AZKathy the x-files is my all time favourite show (hence my user name after Dana Skully). A few months ago I went to London to see Gillian Anderson in a play. She was amazing, she stayed on stage for the whole 2 1/2 hours of the show. I am trying to build up my x-files collection by buying the sets every month or so. I wanted to finish mt Stargate collection first though.

I am not a huge LOTR fan. We have them on DVD and I saw them in the cinema. My friend and I just tollorated it though as it was really my DH and his DW who wanted to see them.

Oh, I GET your user name, now! Cool! I watched all of them until Mulder left...well, see I would have seen the rest, but we moved and could not get that station with our dish (could only get it on local stations and we lived too far away to get any local stations. I don't have any idea what happened that last season (or was it more than that? I dunno). I don't know anything about how Mulder left and Scully having a baby or something?

My DDs are having water balloon fights outside; they are having so much fun! I don't go to our local fireworks since they are so lame compared to WDW's fireworks...so it is such a quiet Fourth for me!

:wave2: AZKathy and Danauk. We're back from our afternoon outing. We saw Spider-man 2. It was really good, but there was one scene that I just couldn't watch - covered my face and everything. Yup, I'm a girly wus. But all in all, I liked it. Tomorrow (early) we may go see Shrek 2. No Danauk, we still haven't seen it because it came out when I was in CA visiting my sister and we've just been so crazy busy since.

Hi! RRBB! Glad you had a good time at the movie! I am not a big Spidie fan although I love the ride at IOA! I have not seen any of the blockbusters this summer because of my sitting limits. I can do a lot of computer stuff while laying on my back! Oh well, they will soon be out on DVD! So, how's the pregnancy going? Been sick? Done any sonograms yet; guess you may be to early yet? I am so happy for you! I always wanted to have a baby on my own and experience all the wonders of a pregnancy, but never got past 10 weeks! I can't blame my varicose veins on a pregnancy!

It has been quiet here today on the boards; everyone is out doing Fourth activities!!!!!

I'm not real big into spiderman either, but it's gotten great reviews and ohanafamily really wanted to see it plus we saw the first one together. We miss most of the movies in the theater, so when we go it's a real treat. And this makes the 2nd in 2 weeks. Wow, we're on a roll here. ;)

(BTW AZKathy, I have a message for you. ohanafamily said he cleaned out his PM box some.)

hasn't given me any problems at all. No morning (afternoon or evening) sickness, just a few days with a bit of queasiness. And I think that was due more to what I'd eaten than anything else. We've already had 3 (really 4) sonograms - at 7.5 weeks, 9 weeks, and 13 weeks. Next one is scheduled for next week after I get back from Boston. We have the 9 & 13 weeks on video, too.

Hi all,

AZKathy, it's good to see you around, stay for a while. I may need to ask nurse-type questiuons... I guess I could always ask one of the many Dr. Mom's around here.....Also, I thought you posted that you had 2 kids?!? OK, I'm confused.....

RRBB seemed to leave out that the No-Stress-Vacation thread has turned into a posting war. They are trying to one-up each other.

Yes, I am a Spidey fan, as a matter of fact, after I finish this post I will turn on the Spidey Marathon on TDIS (started the TiVo already...)

Dan Murphy, in answer to your question, THIS is still the main thread where everything happens, the Vacation thread is a no-stress zone.

Cheeringmom, I hope the rain doesn't interfere too much with the move. I also hope Sam is doing well at camp...

oddball27, Maybe I'll stay up all night and try to catch up with you on the Vacation thread (heheheh) but I think the mods will discourage the "Let's see how many pages we can make threads....

Off to watch more Spidey...

HAPPY 4th of July!!!

:bounce:

ohanafamily, I can see that you are going to be a good daddy! Actually, I have three kids! They are all adopted. Our first two children we went through all the processes of applying, interviewing, meeting, and such. Our youngest is the half sister of my middle child and we did not know about her until she was 24 hours old and the agency called us to see if we would like to keep the sisters together. (I am making this a short version of all that happened!) So, we mulled it over (just a few hours) and told the agency that we did not have the cash to pay for the fees ($10,000), so if the agency felt it was important to keep them together, they could waive the fees and we would gladly open our home to her and love her with all our heart! So, that is the story!

Hi, home from my advertures (movie and dinner with PixieMagic). Loved Spiderman 2. Was really surprised the theaters were not crowded today.....people must actually be doing stuff with their families (even though it's 105 degrees). Although the traffic on the freeway Friday afternoon was a nightmare.....guess everyone left town!

Well, I'm ready to settle in on a hamock on the island and watch the MK fireworks.....anybody going to join me?

edited to say I just gave PixieMagic a color......It just didn't feel right seeing her in black all the time (she never wears black) so I picked a pinky one for her ::yes::

Back to page one!!!!!

Sleep well, everyone!

OK guys, won't be posting for a few days. dh is shutting me down this am. Not sure when he will get me back up and running. I'll miss ya!!

Hi everybody!

Busy weekend, lots of cookouts and fireworks and family. One more cookout tonight at the in-laws.

I don't have time to read all the posts I've missed, just wanted to stick my head in here and say  .

Ella has her 18 month old check-up this morning.

I'm going to run by the vacation home, guess I better grab a jacket.

See ya!
