Hi, a quickie...

while I was posting my last post here, my best friend, Debbie, called to tell me her dad who was visiting for her daughters' dance recital died in her driveway yesterday while she was at work. Her mom and daughter tried to do CPR on him, but he was gone. We're all in shock, and the family needs tons of PD. Please pray for the Young family.

The woman who sang"When you say nothing at all" on the CMT concert was SARA EVANS, my girlfriend. I love her. I watched last night to get your answer, and thought I'd let you know. Pick up her latest album, "Restless". It's really, really good. You'll like! it!
Or did you hate her performance, so you wouldn't want it.
The original version was written and released by Keith Whitley (he's dead now, from severe alcoholism and drug addiction), then it was released again by Alison Krauss (who has the voice of an angel. But it was performed by my girl Sara at the concert. It's a great song, no matter who sings it!

He called to say he was on his way, but that was all. He said he was a little nervous, but I know Rick. He'll knock 'em dead. Who wouldn't want Rick, right!? I got my fingers crossed for him, not because he so desperately dislikes his current job (quite the contrary, actually) it's just that after he went on the first interview, he said he really, really wanted this one. So if it makes him happy, I'm all for it.

As soon as I hear from him, I will post and let you all know what I know. And I'll let him know about all the "good luck" posts that popped up today. I didn't see the board before he talked to me. So he'll be happy to know so many were thinking about him.

And, is there any chocolate left? I'm feeling a little 11:00ish!!
