Hey Rick, did you see where Starring Roles Bakery is now serving a smaller version of the Cobb Salad from the Brown Derby?
Did the person who interviewed you yesterday give you an idea of when you may hear something, when the 2nd interview might be?

Yep! I sure did hear that they're going to be serving a smaller version at Starring Roles. Quite excited about that mind you. More for me!

As for yesterday's interview, she told me that she has one more to conduct today, and that she'll then meet with the VP to review who is best qualified, best match, yada yada. That either happens later today but likely tomorrow. So I won't hear diddly until tomorrow afternoon but probably later in the week.

I think my new photo site is becoming a favorite...let's see what comes next.. :p

Here are two cuddly things....one is 34 years old today.:jester:

Forgot this question. Joe and I have eaten a couple of three times here. He really liked it but I was always a little underwhelmed. It's not bad by any means, I just had higher expectations.

But if you really want just Fish & Chips, I have a suggestion. Don't waste your time or money at Rose & Crown then. There's quick stop counter service! Facing the restaurant, it's to the far right. For some wacky reason, I like it better there. Whenever I've ordered it at the restaurant, it was always slightly soggy. Not grossly so but nonetheless. But at the window, it wasn't quite so much.

I think it has to do with the fact that in the kitchen, they serve up the plate then let it sit a few minutes until the other dishes are ready. But at counter service, they immeidately hand it to you upon ordering.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Do you think that they wear underwear or shorts under their kilts? NC Beast and I would think that one of the divas should be able to answer that or anyone else.:p  :sunny:

I think the Beast is up--got to go soon.

Rose & Crown... The Mushrooms were wonderful, I had the Fish&Chips and the middle was soggy too. I thought it was undercooked, I also let the waiter know. I ate most of it and was full. It is a great spot to watch Illuminations if you get an outside table with a good view.....

I have it on good info that the kilts are worn... what was that word... Commando Style , but have no personal experience. One of our Table mates on the 7 day cruise wore one, and the question was asked of him...He had to check the ceremonial dagger.....

wow you all can talk!!!! I will not miss a day, I will not miss a day.....

cadburysmom there is nothing wrong with a soft handshake!! :teeth: I prefer that to a rough, calloused hand!!

RRBB how are you feeling today??

Tinkbackwards and COLOR=chocolate]geffric thanks for missing me this am.

Was at the docs office and all the tests came back good. Did have a little heart "defect" but she said it was probably something I was born with. Strress test didn't detect anything soooooooo now I'm off to see a gastro doc. She said a lot of times the symptoms are similar. That is such a relief I can't tell you all. Thanks for all the hugs, pixi dust etc. You are all the best.

Now off to pick up the rug rat. Tootle loo

CADBURYSMOM please forgive NC BELLE. She knows not what she does. We love our CADBURYSMOM.

So I just got a rather strange PM from someone I don't know. They suggested that I not post my and Joe's pic as an avatar because 1) it's distracting when reading posts and 2) since I live that "lifestyle" some sketchy person might see the pic, recognize me and try to make things difficult.

I for one think the guy/gal is a loony tune.

RICK, who is it, huh, huh? Send me a PM. Enquiring minds need to know. BTW, to the PM.

QOTD #1 - I type faster than a speeding bullet! B.C. I was an illegal assistant. Typing was my life, man.

QOTD #2 - I like Rose and Crown when you can sit outside -- especially during Illuminations. All of the restaurants are good if you've stopped in Germany for a couple first. :p ;)

The Prince Charming I saw was definitely one of Rick's people and gave me a limp handshake....ugh, I hate that.:p Ok, enough of that, back to your cute pics......your daughter does have the most beautiful eyes and she looked radiant in that dress....and I loved the neck ribbon as well...you are so darn good and crafty!:teeth:
Aw, shucks! Thank! I just love 'em, but of course, I'm a little biased ::yes::

Well the computer guys came and rerouted all the cabling, in spite of the fact my system's been up since last night. They were really perplexed at how it had been installed nearly 2 years ago and fixed it how they thought it should be. Never had a problem before, but who knows? :confused3 Let's just hope I don't have any more problems!! Can't stand that dial-up!

Got online last night, but the boy started howling before I could post. Sure hope those 4 molars get in some time soon...not sure how much more of this I can stand
Off to catch up reading...

QOTD - what's your typing speed?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_3_7.gif' border=0></a> Are you proficient, novice, hunt and pecker?

Today at 11:00 on the Travel Channel they are showing AKL and at 3:00 this afternoon WL. You don't need to be concerned with this info Lew since you won't get cable and seem to be content watching hockey and all. ;)
Thanks for the heads up on WL....want to see that one :)

QOTD Pretty proficient, thanks to a high school typing class. Never got up to 80-90 WP< (yikes!) but was usually around 60-70 when in practice.....like during class and in college when I wrote papers all the time....but nowadays I seem to have LOTS of typos, so it's probably less....I think this keyboard is a little smaller than I'm used to, so it throws me off...is that a possiblity??

I'd like to add my own QOTD since we're looking in to activities for the fall....

QOTD: At what age did your kids begin activities (dance, sports, etc) and what were they? How many did they do each week during preschool years?

Abbie will be doing one afternoon session at preschool each week for their in-depth art activities. I'm thinking of adding one more, but can't decide between dance, gymnastics, or soccer, and don't want to do 2 more so as not to overload her. She's had VERY limited exposure to them all so far, so asking her what she wants to do doesn't really yield an answer. She's very girlie (so lean towards dance) but I'd like her to develop the athletic ability I never had as a kid and be able to do team stuff with friends (so lean to soccer). Thoughts??

okay okay  I'll give you more....

QOTD--

Opinion Woman Arrives!

I try to keep their activities to one at a time. I don't believe in over scheduling.

Eric's first was probably karate at age 4. He did that for about a year. Hunter's was probably soccer at age 5. He was a daisy picker that first year. More interested in chasing the little girls around. :p He tried tee ball that next spring too. Way too boring for him.

I think girls are easier to find things for--dance, gymnastics, etc.
