OK, everyone listen up. We want to eat at one of the restaurants in Epcot. My dad is quite picky, so Marrakesh is OUT! What is your favorite place to eat in Epcot (oh, I am talking in World Showcase, we don't like Garden Grille, I don't care how good their salad is. ;) )? I want only 1 restaurant, no lists. Thank you.
Picky, eh? No lists? Well hurumph! (Just for the record, so is my DH, but he LOVED Marakesh! But I digress....)

Anway, I've never eaten there but can't wait to try it 'cause everyone RAVES about it.....

Le Cellier

But, personally we're probably going to just "eat our way around the world" at all the sampling booths ::yes:: So it may have to wait until next trip....

But if you really want just Fish & Chips, I have a suggestion. Don't waste your time or money at Rose & Crown then. There's quick stop counter service! Facing the restaurant, it's to the far right. For some wacky reason, I like it better there. Whenever I've ordered it at the restaurant, it was always slightly soggy. Not grossly so but nonetheless. But at the window, it wasn't quite so much.

I think it has to do with the fact that in the kitchen, they serve up the plate then let it sit a few minutes until the other dishes are ready. But at counter service, they immeidately hand it to you upon ordering.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I agree! I don't *love* tradtional English foods...shepherd's pies and such (don't do any sort of bread or dumpling that gets wet...it gets soggy and I can't eat soggy food! texture thing...) Anyway, DH LOVES fish'n'chips and thinks it's better from the window, too ::yes:: Good thing!! That way I never have to search for something to eat there...I wait to get my snack in France ::yes::

So I just got a rather strange PM from someone I don't know. They suggested that I not post my and Joe's pic as an avatar because 1) it's distracting when reading posts and 2) since I live that "lifestyle" some sketchy person might see the pic, recognize me and try to make things difficult.

I for one think the guy/gal is a loony tune.

Some people.... they don't want to see a picture of happy good looking men???

::yes:: to the Looney Tune...

::yes:: What she said!! Probably someone uncomfortable with it and doesn't want to see.... What's next? Not allowed to walk side-by-side down the street? Not allowed to talk too closely? Gimme a break! It's not like you were being indecent in the photo!! It's a LOVELY photo and you should KEEP IT!! ::yes:: Prudes can close their eyes or go bury their head in the sand....

Opinion Woman Arrives!

I try to keep their activities to one at a time. I don't believe in over scheduling.

Eric's first was probably karate at age 4. He did that for about a year. Hunter's was probably soccer at age 5. He was a daisy picker that first year. More interested in chasing the little girls around. :p He tried tee ball that next spring too. Way too boring for him.

I think girls are easier to find things for--dance, gymnastics, etc.
So Bichon Barb, would you consider Art Afternoon an activity or no? She will do preschool 5 days/week 9am-12noon, but on Thursday will stay later...12-1 is lunch and 1-3 in art...they do more in-depth stuff they can't do during regular time...sculpture, pottery, etc....real time-consuming kinds of things...

Or would you go ahead and do one more? I don't want to overschedule either.... Given, I was that was as a kid, but only because I BEGGED to do everything and mom eventually gave in....I was happier involved in stuff....dance 2x week, scouts, choir, helping with younger scouts, violin....but I'll let Abbie beg for more when she's ready....NOT going to let her do that much at 3.5/4-years-old.... If it matters, she'll be 4 in November...but we have to get on lists now

Hi guys.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_11_24.gif' border=0></a>

Ella woke up on Sun. with what appeared to be diaper rash. Just out of the blue, and a bad case of it too. The only time I've experienced diaper rash is when one of the kids were taking a med. or one time when a little, tiny something appeared in a diaper during the night and wasn't detected until morning. Sorry, but I have to give full disclosure when I do mommy-talk.

So yesterday the rash remained despite the protocol cream treatments and she was tired and fussy. Today, more rash, creeping up into her belly area and down her legs. I decided it was not the norm.

Took her to the doctor and the doctor said "hand, foot and mouth disease." Then added "this about the worse case I've ever seen". That helped me so much.

Yuck, yuck and double yuck. Poor baby is miserable. It's in her mouth, throat, her little baby toes and fingers are covered and there's even one on the verge of her eye.

I wanna cry.

And to make matters worse, she most likely spread it to Lainie last night at the ballgame.

I think I will cry.

Ok, so this one made me get busted at work. I laughed so loud and hard that someone snagged me on the net!

To all of you who commented on the PM wacko, and to quote Bartles & James... Thankyew fer your support!

I actually responded to the individual and simply said I received only compliments to the avatar and that I didn't intend to change it. Won't apologize if it makes you uncomfortable, yada yada...

They sent a note back saying that they didn't mean offense, they didn't feel uncomfortable, they just thought it was to my best interests because there were some nasty people out there.

So I guess it's kind of nice? Dunno. Don't care. I like the picture anyway. We look happy and like we're having a ball. And we are and we were!

Oops! And sorry for the confusion. It wasn't through PM exchange but through email. I have my email address posted in my profile.

Oh, llebrekniT!! :hug:s to you and Ella both!! I'm so sorry.... Any word on how long it will take to clear? Is she miserable? It's not your fault, by the way....don't they just pick that up playing outside and such? How would you have known?!?

Evening all,
Sorry I wasn't around earlier for breakfast but my internet was down this morning
I hope everyone who has had interviews over the last few days gets to hear soon. I'm sure you will get the jobs ::yes::

OK - The Rose and Crown. As an English person I have to day I found it irritating (sorry!!). I guess it was because inside I think it was supposed to be like a traditional pub. However I don't think it was (except Cockney ones you might see on soap operas!!) I don't know a pub that has a picture of Queen Victoria on the wall!! I didn't try the Fish and Chips. The origional Harry Ramsdens shop is in a town near where I was brought up. I guess I have fish and chips at home when ever I feel like it so having them on holiday just didn't appeal. I liked the United Kingdom area on a whole and it did resemble some towns that I know of. It struck me though that it might as well have been called England as there was not much Irish, Scotiish or Welsh influence! This has got me thinking, I wonder what Italian people think of the Italy area or what the French think of France?

Oh I can't remember who asked about what Scotish men wear under their kilts but the answer is traditionally nothing . They go nakid

Oh well I've got to go as I need to do some powerpoint presentations for work tomorrow.

:wave2:

OMG, I'm sooo sorry...wish I knew how to work the PD gun cause it looks like you're in need of plenty! Did the doctor prescribe medicine and/or a special ointment? Is this sort of thing contagious to the rest of your family...well, duh, obviously if poor Lanie might get it :(

Tinkbackwards, so sorry about the little one. She must be miserable. :(

NC Beast, have a happy b-day! Woo hoo!

Cheeringmom, don't you dare get sick little woman!

Thanks kadaten. Yes she is as miserable as a baby can be, it should be at its' peak badness right now. It is transmitted in the same way as chicken pox or 5th's disease, which is the one Holly currently has.

I'm sure she picked it up last week at Holly's school. Most likely, I don't know. I don't even care. The time frame is right though. She doesn't have a temp., although she should. She is only contagious if she has a temp and I checked it yesterday and she didn't have one then either. So she will have the sores about another week. The biggest risk is dehydration. She has only drank about 4 ounces today. She hasn't eaten at all.

We'll be OK. It just sucks.

Hugs and loads of PD to Ella too.

I'm glad they apologized but it still doesn't smell right to me.....and like my fellow axe murderers said, don't you dare change your avatar! I think that looney was jealous cause you and Joe are just so darn good looking! ;) :teeth:

Thanks everybody.

Unlike the pox, there's nothing that can help her. The skin blisters supposedly don't itch or cause discomfort. It's the mouth and throat ones that cause the misery. And the fever, which she doesn't have. But the throat and mouth sores can last up to 10 days and she is on day 3.

Knowing this makes me wanna go cry again. Think I will.

Don't mind me though. I don't wanna bring the whole Tagliarchy down. Just wanted to share my bad day and I will probably be a little more MIA while she gets over it.

Gotta take Holly to riding lessons in a few minutes. I'm so glad Daniel is here so I don't have to wake Ella up.

Thanks again!

See ya.

Cheeringmom So glad your heart tests went well but am sorry you have to be tested at the gastro doctor. I had bad chest pains and wicked heart burn prior to having my gallbladder removed---sorry TMI---so maybe it's something as simple as that......but hopefully it's just something that a little medicine can take care of......sending PD your way and hoping this goes away soon...hang in there!
