Hey oddball27! I'm here...but not for long! Too tired!
Your raft trip sounds like fun! I grew up in SC and we used to go swimming in a creek up from my house. We also used to jump off the bridge that went over it that was right next to the swimming area, but looking back, that probably wasn't the *BEST* idea. But hey....my dad said to do it! Hope your parents have a little more sense than that!! It was too overgrown and skinny for tubes or rafts or anything, but there was this one wide spot where all the country bumpkins (us included
) and bikers would go swimming on the weekends.
It's good to know at least some kids still know how to have fun on their own without being in some kind of formal program! I'm amazed at the number of classes and lessons some of the kids at my DD's preschool take! All I can think is these kids may never learn how to really play or entertain themselves....and how much fun both can be
Glad you know the joys!
Well, off to bed with me....
Nite all

I feel so special that you call me your "squishy"!

OK, I have to admit I have no idea what "LSMIF" means.
