Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

A bit of an unfair comparison, as PIT and VDH are add-ons to already built resorts, versus completely new builds. I think the concept art for Lakeshore lodge is equally as themed as the other images you shared. I don’t think comparing resorts with exterior facing rooms is fair because those are very different than internally facing rooms.

All I am really saying is that it seems a but early to throw your hands up and say the theming is horrific when they literally just have the structure up and nothing else. Once its built if people don’t like it, then i think thats a totally fair argument to make, but a lot of people just seem to hate it for the sake of hating it before every letting them finish the build.

Honestly curious, with all the complaints with how this looks like an un-themed monstrosity, what exactly is an example of a well themed exterior at a resort at WDW? Everything I can think of (Except Wilderness lodge) is literally just a standard hotel design with different paint and accents.

If you want themed add-on DVC builds to existing resorts I would include the following:

Sorry if these are also "money shots." I Googled the name of the DVC resort and exterior.

I personally think this structure was themed more and fit the original Polynesian better.

PIT maybe an add on, but it does not fit with the original Poly resort. Really dont like it even a little bit. But I will hold back a bit on LL, but I expect it to be more Marriott and less Disney.

Yeah I think you win this debate. My opinion of course.

The PIT we ended up getting is, at least externally, a severe disappointment and really should never have been built on Seven Seas Lagoon.

Internally the building doesn't do much for me either but the rooms do seem to be quite nice. I still need to stay there to fully appreciate it of course. It's on the list but I'm really in no hurry. From my tour with my guide I'd rather be at VGF for similar points, personally.

What is the third picture resort

My FAVE! (Okay, so it's the only WDW deluxe resort I've stayed at. But I love it so much!)
Ive heard nothing but great things! I loved the copper creek 1 bedroom and excited to give this one a try if I can ever get in 🤣

brv, ssr, cfw and okw are the four on my radar now, so I can then say ive stayed at all the wdw resorts!

As much as I dislike the Polynesian in every aspect, I think the original renderings for the Tower would have been a much better way to go…
I agree ive never seen it before and I really like the look of that concept art. More colors, flowers, trees, vibrant tiki decor would have gone a long way and I dont think would have put them out too much. And its a shame because the outside does not match the inside nice rooms which were tastefuly done. At least they didnt skimp out on that!

So what are your predictions for the point chart for LsL? Including the influences of it being new, restricted, but also quite expansive; I'd wager a point chart about 2-4 pts/night higher than the Copper Creek chart.
I think it will be much more than 2-4 points per night more. I think it will be more than RIV but a less than Poly Tower.

I'm with @VGCgroupie. BRV is an older resort with a points chart from a different era. CCV was unique in that it was a conversion at WL where the 2 BRs and under are slightly smaller than the BRV rooms - they couldn't really justify bumping up the points for those rooms over BRV. Instead, they added GVs and the cabins and dumped a bunch of points in those rooms, similar to newer resorts. LSL will be a completely new resort, and they will increase the points across the board accordingly. If the points chart is better than RIV in any category, I'd be pretty surprised.

I'm just thinking about a basic studio during Sept, and I just can't see the points being more than RIV right now. Yes, it's a MK resort, but it lacks the draw of the multi-option transportation to 2 parks like RIV does, PLUS it is much bigger. 2-5 pts extra a night more than CCV would be around (or more than) the GFV levels, and I can't see them doing more than GFV unless there's more amenities offered. They need an alternative lodge for the CCV vacationers who find it hard to book at 11 months...if you price too high, you might as well go to a monorail resort.

Time will tell. Studio wise I think will be very close to Poly Tower. I would very much like for you to be right and me be wrong though.
