I've actually always wanted to eat at both. I looked at the menu's on another site that shall remain nameless and realized Joe would be very, very hard pressed to find anything he'd want to eat. He's not picky, just not adventurous.
Neither is my DH, but he ate his fill at Boma!! DH would be happy to eat at Appleby's or anywhere with a club or roast beef sandwich for 3 meals a day  He liked Boma....I LOVED it!! I say give it a shot! If nothing else, he can have the "safe" things on the kid's menu if he really doensn't see anything he wants to try....

Now Jiko is a regular ordering place, not buffet, so it may be harder there....

Last time Rob was down there he ate at Bongo's. He's been talking about try to cook Cuban food ever since then.
I LOVE Bongo's! AND can send you some Cuban recipes....specifically for Arroz Blanco (Perfect White Rice), Puerco Asada (Roast Pork), Maduros (sweet plantains), Tostonas (fried plantains), and Mojo Criollo (the garlic/onion sauce that's served with the roast pork and plantains). My best friend from home is Cuban and I borrowed her cookbooks to look up my favorite meal.... if you want a good cookbook, it's called Memories of a Cuban Kitchen...

Here's a website for recipes, too!

Yep. Prince Eric from Little Mermaid. I can see the resemblance!!

MAKE IT STOP!!! Teletubbies are blaring from the tv. Teletubbies have got to be the most stupid program on tv. Scary little creatures!! "Tinky winky, Dispsy, LaLa, Poe. Teletubbies, Teletubbies say HALLOOOOOOOO" UGH
Cheeringmom I take it you haven't seen "Poohbah" then? OMG. I hate teletubbies. But after seeing "Poohbah" (a Canadian import, I think?) I would rather be forced to watch teletubbies every waking moment from now until the day I die. It's that bad. I actually think the folks who write it are just bringing their drug trips to life....it's very psychedelic or something....but oh....so bad....

Hey guys, has anyone ever flown two different carriers, i.e. one carrier to get to your destination and another home? I'm still playing around with flights. I REALLY don't want to drive to Rochester. It really stinks trying to fly out of Hancock (SYR). Is this crazy?

Oct 9, 2004

SYR to Orlando Sanford on Transmeridian (direct flight leaves at 7:40 a.m. and arrives at 10:15 a.m.) I think they have a shuttle that goes to WDW resorts. Need to find that out. ($113.65)

Oct 13, 2004

MCO to SYR on Jet Blue (change planes at Kennedy.) Leave MCO at 11:25 a.m. and arrive SYR at 4:25 p.m. ($113.20)

for a total of $227.

cc: Lewski e-mail
Barb Sounds good to me! And don't forget I can pick both of you up so no need for the shuttle....or at least don't worry if they don't have one! And, isn't this cheaper than your other option? And better flight times? Sounds like a winner!

Hi checking in.. been very very very busy at work today from the moment I walked in...

anyway Rick to add my 2 cents worth.. DH and DS#2 hate anything interesting.. if it is not pasta, burger, pizza it is not in their book for food.. but we have been to Boma twice.. the plain beef , salamon, and pasta with red sauce plus the salads and veggies and chocolate made them happy... not as happy as other places.. like Crystal Palace or ChiefsMickeys.. but they were able to Tolerate it..

They much prefer Sci Fi for burgers and shakes and Beaches and Cream.. but Joe could fine something there. It is not all strange food things, they don't server things like fish eyes or dog tail..

If we ever have kids the will NOT be watching any Teletubbies. Did you hear me? NO TELETUBBIES IN THIS HOUSE! And that's my final answer!!!
You say that now!

I just love it when people without kids make such naive comments! There are days when you will do absolutely anything to buy a few moments' peace. If Teletubbies works, Teletubbies it is! (Noone said you had to stay in the room and watch it, too....) I'll be around in a few years to see how those words taste ::yes::

Anybody wanna come over and say how-do-you-do? to my little Ella?:teeth:
Just be glad she's not tall enough to bare your brasseire at the same time ::yes:: (Or you're not short enough either...)

Kadaten, aren't you just the font of knowledge this fine afternoon! :wave2: ::yes::
And I was beginning to think I was talking to myself here!

So, you got Joe talked into a costume yet? I really like the Capt. Hook and Smee idea....or it could be Capt. Hook and Peter Pan....who looks best in tights??? :teeth: You could post pics of both and let us choose between the legs! :teeth:

What was your favorite and/or least favorite Hallowe'en costume as a kid and/or adult?
Can't remember! I went as a bag of jelly beans once....clear trash bag filled with inflated colored balloons...I put my legs through holes in the bottom of the bag and it tied over my shoulders...it was cheap and quick. Did a clown once (boring), did a baby once....wore an adult-sized diaper, a Virginia Slims t-shirt that said "You've come a long way, baby!", a bonnet, and had a huge pacifier around my neck....was a witch....honestly, nothing really great :( Pretty run-of-the-mill....

Hi y'all.

Wow, you've been chatty today. Sorry I've missed the witty repartee! Especially with stickinthemudwon'twearacostumedude being here. That's the most posts from him at one time that I've ever seen... must be a heated subject, huh, Joe?

I know you guys won't do this costume ... just not right for Disney, probably, but I was just reading the 2nd or 3rd book of Princess Diary Mia to my DD last night, and her friend Lilly went to Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween as... does anyone know??? I thought it was a riot! I'll give you a hint.. .it involved a piece of lingerie and a beard...

Rick - You and Old Stick in the Mud do need to wear some kind of costumes... since I've never been to MNSSHP, tell me this... is it PI to wear non-Disney costumes??? I'll put the old thinking cap on, but I need to know my parameters!

QOTD: Favorite Halloween Costume... Bride of Dracula ... I bought an old wedding gown at a thrift store, teased my hair up, had the florist make me a bouquet of dead flowers, and Ed dressed up like Dracula, complete with black cape with a red satin lining. We had a blast. Worst costume ... one of my own creations ... I made a huge trick or treat bag out of a roll of corrugated cardboard. It had handles on the inside for me to hold, and I looked out of the letter "o"s in the word BOO! The only thing you saw was this big huge TOT bag with legs. So what was the problem??? No way to hold a candy bag!!! People kept throwing candy in the top of the bag, which hit me on the head, then fell down through the bottom hole and hit my feet. The other kids then promptly grabbed my candy and I was helpless. Really, Really, BAD idea for a young chocoholic!!!

kadaten - Babe and Poppy, what cute names. We had friends who called their grandparents Nana and Poppy. Hmm... and some others who called theirs Minnie and Peepee... enjoy your visit!

I love everyone's pictures... you just can't post too many. Please keep it up. Is there a way to do this faster than scanning the photos, saving them to disk, uploading them to shhhImagestation, then posting them here? When I get around to showing my mug and those of my darling family, I want the quickest, easiest, simplest method.

Barb, $227 seems a little high, but heck, it doesn't sound like you will find anything much cheaper. If you go ahead and ticket on those two airlines, are they refundable if you find something better?

Danauk Hi :wave2: and bye  !!! Your life sure is busy right now. I think you need some hot tub and toddy time!!!

I was a spider..and a girl friend was little miss muppet and Dh was the Tuffit...

How, pray tell, does one dress as a Tuffit?

Ok guys, gotta go shower before the kids wakey-wakey. Will try to check back in later with Cinderella dinner photos....::yes::

We didn't know what a Tuffit was so he just had on grey sweats and the sat on the floor. My friend sat on his lap and then i , the spider , came along and scared her away... BTW we were not married then..

You said it sista!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Went to see Shrek 2 this morning. I highly recommend it to everyone. Barb, you must see this movie! I thought of you often while watching.

[brag session]Ok, so Josh has always been pretty good at the movies, he used to get a little figety (sp?) after an hour or so & he went through a spell where he was a pain a couple of years ago, but overall he was pretty good when he was little. Lainie was unbelievable today. She is 17 months old & she sat in her seat the entire time. Never tried to climb down, never cried, never yelled. She & I split a large popcorn & we almost finished it! Anyway, she is amazing. [/brag session]

PLEEEEZE don't tell me there is a teletubbie knock off. I can't handle the stress!! Are they big round thingies? I think they were on right after TT so I turned it off. Time to read books Lauren!!

Oh, she does that all the time too. If I am holding her and she wants to see what's in there, she just grabs from the top of my shirt and pulls down and out I pop!

Next!
