ohana thanks for posting this... I had it on my old computer and lost it in a crash. I used to make Kelley read this every few months, and I don't know how many copies I've e-mailed to parents and kids I knew... although this is particular story is supposedly an urban legend, there really are "Internet Angels" out there who do just what this story is about.

When That Person on That Other Thread responded to [color=9900CC]ob[/color], this story is the first thing I thought of... predator. That one retort he made after her post sent me over the edge. I'm sorry everyone didn't get to see us getting in to the fray to defend our friends, but I'm glad that post is gone.

Kelley thinks I am an overzealous, overprotective ridiculous mom because the only internet connection in the house is in the kitchen, but that's where it will remain until my children are grown. I am constantly looking over her shoulder and asking who are you talking to ? Who is that? How do you know her/him? I just don't think you can be too careful.

Eric Bana was in Black Hawk Down. He was the Ranger guy who at the end was going back in....Loved him, he was great in that movie. He was also The Hulk.

DH & I have said that the kids will not have computers with internet access in their rooms. Nope, don't care what they say, it ain't gonna happen. Of course, this may be going overboard, but whenever I watch those awful stories, the parents say "I don't know, we kind of wondered why he/she was in their room for 5 hours at a time, we just thought he/she was talking to her friends on-line".

QOTD: I don't have just one favorite character. When i was little, my sister and I had a lot of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. We even had a Pooh and his Friends record player with moving figures. I used to love reading as a kid (Snow White and Beauty and the Beast were well loved.) I think my current favorite isTinkerbell---wait a minute maybe Little Nemo or maybe Beast....I have to think on that some more.

I am a night owl and sometimes an early bird. But, usually not at the same time. NC Beast is a night owl (works 3rd shift) and Jessie wants to be in bed at 3am and sleep in.

I absolutely REFUSE to show Joe how to use the DVD player once again. I've shown him, not once, not twice, not even three times. At least half a dozen. AND I've written it down for him. AND I reviewed it again WHILE he wrote it down himself.

Good evening all,
What a day it has been. We had to call an ambulance today at school for one of my kids, he fell funny on the playground and hurt his back. He was OK though, just bruised but if anyone hurts their back they have to go to hospital as a precaution.
So what are people doing today? I got home from school at 6pm, moved the front and back lawns, had dinner and then collapsed on the sofa. I'm shattered.

QOTD1: My favourite character is Tigger too.
QOTD2: I'm definately a night owl. I don't do mornings well!

So what are peoples plans for this evening? I plan to relax, I'm shattered today!! New episodes of Friends and ER are on later so I will watch these I think.

I guess I better finish cutting the lawn edging first though.

Hi All!! Just checking in before (hopefully) getting a nap in today!

QOTDSince I'm a HUGE nightowl, I'm often running on less sleep than I should...hence the need for a nap...I can't help it, I just can't fall asleep that early (like any time before midnight except under extreme circumstances) and it's usually 1 and sometimes later before I get to bed. BUT, my kids....both of them....are little Susie (and Sam) Sunshine in the morning....and have me up between 6 and 6:30 every day How did a night-owl like me get 2 morning people for kids

DH...well, he'd sleep 20 hours/day if he could. He really needs about 8, gets about 6. I need about 7, get about 5.

RRBB You and I sound just alike on this...don't function well before 9am no matter what, but can easily stay up til 3 working on a project

Thanks! That dress came from Grandma, but I'm pretty sure she got it at Kohl's....do you have one of those? I just love those old-fashioned type dresses. That particular one, you probably can't see in the photo, but all the centers of the flowers are sequins, or "sparklies" as Abbie calls them So cute and sweet an outfit. She BEGS to wear a dress every day (glad Grandma sends so many) and I have to have a really good, convincing reason if I'm not letting her wear a dress.....such a girlie girl!!

Well, it depends what I have time for or how I'm doing my answering....sometimes I do it all at once, and sometimes post-by-post. Just depends on mood, I guess. Don't know that I prefer either one over the other when I'm reading everybody's else's stuff....I read it all anyway

And as for pictures of Walt, they're coming!! I only have the ones from the digital camera on the computer so far, but MOST of our photos were taken on the regular point& shoot since the battery on the digital kept running down...arggghhhh! So I had a nice bill of $135 for developing and CD's at Target I'll see what I have now to hold you over...

Good evening, Danauk, I'm home from work today with a cold. So I'll probably be sleeping most the rest of today. At some point my sister, [COLOR=660099]TiggersPal[/COLOR], will come bring me some supplies....no food or juice in the house! You know, sometimes when I 'listen' to all your activities.....I just have to go lie down! Wherever do you get all that energy? Of course, you're not trying to do all this in 100+ degrees......perhaps that's why the thought of all that activity makes me tired. Yeah, I didn't seem to have any trouble running around Disneyland all weekend, did I? Must just be the heat.

We have to wait another 2 weeks for the finale of Friends and weeks for the finale of ER. I'm not sure when series 10 of Friends is coming out on DVD here. I'll find out though as I already have series 1-9 on the DVD shelf!!
