And, finally for this morning, Nieceosaurus, I wish you could have been with me yesterday. When we stopped in the princess store in the castle, your favorite Cinderella was there sitting in the back corner with little children sitting on the floor at her feet and with the help of the pages from the castle, she was telling and acting out her story of the glass slipper. The page was a very funny young man who acted out all the other characters in her story. It was so delightful and such a lovely surprise to just 'discover' her there......I thought of you the whole time!

I wish I could have there too :(
I meant to rspond to this the other day, but you are all so very chatty.

I will think of you when go to the Princess store and I see her...if I am lucky enough.

PS,
I don't think there is any doubt who my favorite Disney character is...
Cinderella!
And I will be seeing her at WDW if I have to wait in the Princess store all day, right RRBB and ohanafamily!!!!!

Subject: What happens when you forward someone else's email address.

Received this message today from a friend. It really is an important message for me to forward on because I have noticed that many of my friends send me things that they have received from other friends. While it seems easy to just click forward and put our friend's names in the "TO:" field of our email program's address box, it really is a dangerous thing to do. This story illustrates just how dangerous it can be. Please read it. ( I am placing these instructions before the story so that you will know how to forward your email in the future.)

Before you forward this message or any other message to someone, please do the following:
1. REMOVE all email addresses that were forwarded or sent to you on the message. Use the delete key, or the editing functions on your email program after you hit the Forward key.
2. DO NOT use the "TO" field to send the mail on, USE the "BCC" field. This means "Blind Carbon Copy." It will list only the name of each individual receiver on the email. NOBODY ELSE'S email address will be shown.

TO USE BCC: Simply click "BCC" instead of "TO." It works just the same. If you add names from your address book, just add them to the "BCC" field instead of the "TO" field. As an added bonus of using this feature, your email message won't have all those addresses at the beginning. No one will have to scroll through the addresses to get to the message that you have sent. Please take the time to read this. It could prove to be very important.

The following individual asked not to be identified, but she asked that this letter be forwarded to anyone who does not BCC (blind carbon copy) online ... and to spread the word. Please read this; it is not a joke.

Late one evening, while online, I received an IM (Internet message) from a gentleman who said he knew me through mutual pals online. We chatted for an hour or so before deciding to keep in touch, as we had so many things in common. I eventually, after a week or so of knowing him, trusted him with my name (first name) and phone number; after all, he knew my friends and I felt he must have been OK if they all liked and knew him. He knew a lot about them, he knew a lot about me, and he knew a lot about a lot! He seemed like such a nice person, a pleasant person, and someone whom I felt very comfortable sharing my time online (and on the phone) with.

One night, a friend from our group of friends invited me to a chat room where several of the friends had gathered and were chatting when this gentleman popped into the chat room. He popped in and then left quickly.
Then, for the first time since I met and started chatting with him, I mentioned him to one of the friends who was in the chat room one whom this gentleman claimed association with. She was in total awe, she did not know who he was!

Things were beginning to look really suspicious. The more she and I chatted, the more suspicious it became. It also became apparent that this guy knew none of us.

Suddenly, he disappeared offline for a few days...then one day he pops back in and sends me an IM saying that we need to talk. He called me at my home and I was very upset, so I asked him how he really found me and why he had felt the need to lie in the first place. (This is where you all need to pay
attention): He told me that he spotted my screen name on a forward that one of my friends sent to someone else. My screen name is what attracted him. He then used the screen name of others on the list of forwards to acquaint himself with me and various others from our clique of friends. He also used the member directory (at AOL) to look up info about others on the list of forwards, so not to look suspicious.

He said he felt it was the only way he would have the chance to get to know me, and the main attraction to me was "My Screen name" because he thought it was "sexy!" I was upset, needless to say, as I had trusted this man with my personal info ... such as phone number and name. He also knew where I lived (thanks to the phone bill) and I was now his prey!

A few days after having last talked to this person and thinking that was the last of him, I received a phone call at 4:00 a.m., it has this man telling me he was in town to see a friend who lived 20 minutes from my house, and wanted to know if I would like to meet him for coffee or breakfast. When I told him it was not such a good idea, he became irate and hung up on me. I immediately called him back (caller ID) and explained to him that my husband was back home(trying to scare him)and please not be so mad (in fear of him and what he, might do).

Telling him that my husband had returned and we were reconciling was a lie, and I told him this to make him think I was not alone! Imagine the feeling I felt in the pit of my stomach when he came back with the following response

"You're a lying -----, your husband is not there with you...you are alone!"

I hung up on him and immediately called the Brossard County Sheriff's office and told them what had happened. They sent an officer over to take a report and said that was really all they could do for me at that time.

So, I packed a few belongings into my car, and drove to my sister's home for the night. Fifteen or twenty minutes after I arrived at her home, I received a phone call from this man again! He knew I called the Sheriff and reported him, he knew where I was and he knew my sister and her husband's names! People, let me tell you something, this man had been stalking me for weeks and I had no idea! I walked, ate, slept and breathed in constant fear until he was finally arrested for stalking!

Not for stalking me! Nope! For stalking another lady who lived in Kindle, FL.

I wanted to share this with you all. And yes, it is all true. Friends, when you forward things and you leave your friends names out in plain view like that, you are putting THEM and YOURSELF in what could be grave danger. I hope I have gotten this message across; as I have not even begun to mention his assault (rape, using deadly force) charges the detectives from Brossard County and Kindle, FL uncovered on him while investigating his prior history!

People, please! Be safe, be careful and BLIND CARBON COPY(BCC)! This is NOT a joke and NOT a hoax.

PLEASE REMEMBER: It is Important to *remove ALL personal email when forwarding items from this, or any other list to individuals or other discussion groups (unless the message asks readers to contact them via email or phone). Remember, a lot of us have a great deal of information in our sig's (signature files that appear at the bottom of many of our messages).
In addition, the blind carbon copy (BCC) option makes the individuals you send email to unseen by all other recipients E-mailers should also cut out email addresses from forwards when forwarding the message on. I know I have received unsolicited e-mails from individuals who have gotten my address via a forwarded message from this group. Although more annoying than serious, it could have been worse.

I just got back from Bunco and didn't win a dime! Oh well, there's always next month.:p

So did they shut down the VH's thread? I was about to sign on but not read pages 4 and 5. How weird.....but then again, it's late and I'm tired and probably don't need to read that kind of stuff......gets me all huffy and I sure don't need that before bedtime.

ohanafamily I'm not sure what VH said to our beloved oddball27 but I must tell you how much I liked your advice to her .....there are some real crazies out there......at least WE know WE'RE all axe murderers and we're all so lucky to have found each other!

Well, goodnight all.....sweet dreams! zzzzzzzzzzzzz

So tired... must find pillow... NOW!!!

Here's another e-mail, this is false, but another of my nightmares.....

-------------------
Shannon could hear the footsteps behind her as she walked toward home. The thought of being followed made her heart beat faster. "You're being silly," she told herself, "no one is following you." To be safe she began to walk faster, but the footsteps kept up with her pace. She was afraid to look back and she was glad she was almost home. Shannon said a quick prayer, "God please get me home safe." She saw the porch light burning and ran the rest of the way to her house.
Once inside she leaned against the door for a moment, relieved to be in the safety of her home. She glanced out the window to see if anyone was there. The sidewalk was empty. After tossing her books on the sofa she decided to grab a snack and get on line. There she could talk to strangers without being afraid. After all, no one knew who she really was and couldn't hurt her. She logged on under her screen name "ByAngel213". Checking her Buddy List she saw GoTo123 was on. She sent him an instant message:

ByAngel213: Hi I'm glad you are on! I thought someone was following me home today. It was really weird!

GoTo123: LOL You watch too much TV. Why would someone be following you? Don't you live in a safe neighborhood?

ByAngel213: Of course I do... LOL... I guess it was my imagination... cause I didn't see anybody when I looked out.

GoTo123: Unless you gave your name out on line... You haven't done that have you?

ByAngel213: Of course not. I'm not stupid you know.

GoTo123: Did you have a softball game after school today?

ByAngel213: Yes and we won!!

GoTo123: That's great! Who did you play?

ByAngel213: We played the Hornets... LOL..their uniforms are so gross! They look like bees... LOL

GoThere123: What is your team called?

ByAngel213: We are the Canton Cats. We have tiger paws on our uniforms. They are really kewl.

GoTo123: Do you pitch or what?

ByAngel213: No... I play second base. I got to go.. My homework has to be done before my parents get home. I don't want them mad at me...Bye

GoTo123: Catch you later.. Bye

GoTo123 decided it was time to teach Angel a lesson. One she would never forget. He went to the member menu and began to search for her profile. When it came up he highlighted it and printed it out. He took out a pen and began to write down what he knew about Angel so far.

Her name: Shannon. Birthday: Jan. 3, 1985. Age:13. State where she lived: North Carolina. Hobbies: softball, chorus, skating and going to the mall. Besides this information he knew she lived in Canton. She had just told him. He knew she stayed by herself until 6:30 every afternoon until her parents came home from work. He knew she played softball on Thursday afternoons on the school team and the team was named the Canton Cats. Her favorite number 7 was printed on her jersey. He knew she was in the seventh grade at the Canton Junior High School. She had told him all this in the conversations they had on line. He had enough information to find her now.

"She'll be so surprised," he thought, "she doesn't even know what she has done."

Shannon didn't tell her parents about the incident on the way home from the ball park that day. She didn't want them to make a scene and stop her from walking home from the softball games. Parents were always overreacting and hers were the worst. It made her wish she was not an only child. Maybe if she had brothers and sisters her parents wouldn't be so overprotective.

By Thursday Shannon had forgotten about the footsteps following her. Her game was in full swing when suddenly she felt someone staring at her. It was then that the memory came back. She glanced up from her second base position to see a man watching her closely. He was leaning against the fence behind first base and he smiled when she looked at him. He didn't look scary and she quickly dismissed the fear she had felt.

After the game he sat on a bleacher while she talked to the coach. She noticed his smile once again as she walked past him. He nodded and she smiled back. He noticed her name on back of the shirt. He knew he had found her. Quietly he walked a safe distance behind her. He didn't want to frighten her and have to explain what he was doing to anyone.

It was only a few blocks to Shannon's home and once he saw where she lived he quickly returned to the park to get his car. Now he had to wait. He decided to get a bite to eat until the time came to go to Shannon's house. He drove to a fast food restaurant and sat there until time to make his move.

Shannon was in her room later that evening when she heard voices in the living room. Shannon, come here," her father called. He sounded upset and she couldn't imagine why. She went into the room to see the man from the ballpark sitting on the sofa. "Sit down," her father began, "this man is a policeman and he has just told us a most interesting story about you."

Shannon moved cautiously to a chair across from the man. How could he tell her parents anything? She had never seen him before today!

"Do you know who I am Shannon?" The man asked.

"No..." Shannon answered

. "I am your on line friend, GoTo123."

Shannon was stunned. "That's impossible! GoTo is a kid my age! He's 14 and he lives in Michigan!"

The man smiled. "I know I told you all that... but it wasn't true. You see, Shannon, there are people on line who pretend to be kids; I was one of them. But while others do it to find kids and hurt them, I belong to a group of parents who do it to protect kids from predators. I came here to find you to teach you how dangerous it is to give out too much information to people online. You told me enough about yourself to make it easy for me to find you. Your name, the school you went to, the name of your ball team and the position you played. The number and name on your jersey just made finding you a breeze."

Shannon was stunned. "You mean you don't live in Michigan?"

He laughed. "No, I live in Raleigh. It made you feel safe to think I was so far away, didn't it?" She nodded. "I had a friend whose daughter was like you. Only she wasn't as lucky. The guy found her and murdered her while she was home alone. Kids are taught not to tell anyone when they are alone, yet they do it all the time on line. The wrong people trick you into giving out information a little here and there online. Before you know it, you have told them enough for them to find you without even realizing you have done it. I hope you've learned a lesson from this and won't do it again."

"I won't," Shannon promised solemnly.

"Will you tell others about this so they will be safe too?"

It's a promise!"

That night Shannon and her dad and Mom all knelt down together and prayed. They thanked God for protecting Shannon from what could have been a tragic situation.

No, don't mind you asking. (That's what friends do you know.) And no, there's nothing wrong. I was just told I need to get lots more protien than I have been so I should eat protien bars, peanut butter, etc. If I can find any bars I can stomach I guess I'll have to resort to keeping a small jar of peanut butter nearby. I'll check out those Edge bars next time I go to the store. Thanks.
Oh, good! Glad to hear everything's alright!

I know we could all use a little more of that healthy eating...yesterday chocolate WAS my major food group  I even had a leftover Cadbury's carmel egg for dinner. :guilty: That's how I deal with stress, unfortunately....

Anyway, today was much better :) Walt was in the funniest mood...so happy and cuddly and fun :bounce: So I had Moe's (mexican takeout) for dinner courtesy of DH. Also, he picked up my pictures for me from Target....you guys are in for it when I finally get them all into the computer....SO many good ones :)

Here's some now...

Evening all, so some people are having storms then. I have to confess lightening is one of my irrational fears (so why did I go to WDW in August then? Eerm, not sure why but it was certainly interesting!) along with needles (imunisation ones)!!
OMG Danauk! Are you my long lost twin? I'm also scared of lightning and needles!

Worst part? I'm moving to Tampa (voluntarily, I might add...we asked for it) which happens to be the "Lightning Capital of the World". Nice.

As for needles, everyone that knows me well wonders how I had kids with all the bloodwork and shots you have to get....YUCK!! To draw my blood used to take 3-4 people....one to hold me in the chair, one to keep my arm still, and one to draw the blood, with an extra to help out. I don't *try* to be a problem, but start shaking uncontrollably and crying. I'm just a big baby....can't stand stuff piercing the skin!! Taking my kids in for immunizations is traumatic for me :( But I have to hide it and pretend like everything's ok so I don't scare them or make them scared like me (the big chicken).

This information would also come in handy for future swaps/gift exchanges too. So, QOTD: Who's your favorite Disney character?
Well, my nickname from birth was "Poohbear". My DAunt said when I came out I looked like a "squished Poohbear" so Poohbear it was! So I have ALL sorts of Pooh stuff all around the house....TONS of stuffed ones, old and newer, pictures, teapots, cookie jar, picture frames, books, etc. The kids' nursery had classic Pooh prints on the walls and their bathroom is classic Pooh. (Gotta go with the classic above the Disney pooh any day :) ) And don't even get me started on all the Pooh Christmas stuff I have....YIKES!! But, I've been ramping that down a bit, and am just loving the Big Mouse lately....the old guy himself...Mickey :) Although Minnie is also well-regarded in this house, too, as is Cinderella and Donald Duck ::yes::

Thanks, ibouncetoo! It was sure nice chatting with you tonight!

I REALLY was going to bed, but wanted to catch up before I did, so here I am  It's 2am and 6am comes awful early!! Oh well, hope the kids are kind in the morning....and if not, it's my own fault

Never did check yet....so you cooking TAGLIKINS, got a question for you--can you freeze breakfast casseroles? Well I guess what I'm asking is is it alright to freeze raw eggs? I made a breakfast casserole tonight for mother's group tomorrow and went ahead and made a second one for us later, like I always do when I make something big. Now it occurs to me....I don't know if it's *safe* to freeze raw eggs! So anyone ever done it and lived to tell the tale? (You know the casseroles I'm talking about....bread cubes, cheese, sausage, etc....mix eggs and milk and pour over....bake one hour. I froze it before the baking step like my other casseroles but don't know if I should have...) Thanks for the help!
