I'm finishing up the semester, but I wish I was done completely! Still a few more to go. I am busy teaching. Busiest thing I've ever done, and lots of stuff to balance. DF is busy deciding what she wants to do with her life, either nursing or teaching.

Punch cards, huh? Wow, blast from the past. I took a computer graphics class, but it was more web based, most aspects geared toward VRML. That wasn't really my thing. I don't enjoy 25 lines of code to draw a rectangle. Today, most of the things I do involve ColdFusion or MySQL DB. I've dabbled in some other stuff, flash included.

Sometimes I wish I would have gotten a computer job instead of teaching, other times I don't. I like the summers off, and the job security, but the pay for a tech job would most likely be higher. It's a toss up I suppose.

For a resource on action scripting, the actual code driving the flash:
Macromedia Flash MX Actionscripting Bible

Lots of other books, these just appealed to my taste though.

I just moved to NC, but I like it so far. The drive through the mountains on I-40 reminds me of Pennsylvania.

This summer when I get some time I'm gonna take a trip up 321 to Boone, and Blowing Rock. I hear it's beautiful up there.

I'm also coming out to Raleigh for a conference in July. I'll find my way around, eventually.

I took a little catnap this afternoon, so I am feeling better. I got all of work done too, so that's a good thing.

I haven't picked out a movie to watch tonight yet. I watched one this afternoon, FearDotCom, and I thought it was a piece of garbage if I've ever watched one. It was a knock off of The Ring as far as I am concerned.

It's a shame too, cause I saw Stephen Rea was in it, and I usually like his work, but I was very disappointed. I hope he got paid well to star in that flop.

[COLOR=CC0000]Mad4Mickey[/COLOR] why don't you do a split stay with WL first. The you get the best of both worlds. I really love WL but AKL is great too. The thing I didn't like about AKL was how the people were. Everyone is so great and relaxed at WL. The surrounding at AKL are absolutely marveling. The boat at WL is awesome and much closer to EVERYTHING. I also did not like the hike where the busses let us off at AKL. I don't know if I am helping so I will <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_5_3.gif' border=0></a> now.

WOW.........geffric, that is so sweet! I have a friend who lives on Elston and I usually catch the L in to O'Hare, but I don't want him to know I am going. He is my Outside Rep and you know the trip is on the down lo, since I have limited vacation and grandma is ailing. So.......I don't know what I am doing. I may take the latest shuttle and stay at the airport??? Anyone ever done THAT? And how nice for [COLOR=339900]ibouncetoo[/COLOR] to vouge for you, but not the rest of your family.

Good evening all,
Can I join you for drinks by the pool? I think I need one after this afternoon. I went to the theatre for my meeting and then decided to stay to watch the theatre company I am in rehearse (I decided to have a break and take this show off). Anyway two of the people in the society have a 7 month old baby and they just give her to anyone to watch, so guess who got her today, yes me. I mean I don't mind watching her for a little while, but 4 hours without even asking me!! So I didn't get to watch the rehearsal as I had to watch the child - never mind the fact that I am not motherly at all which is probably because I am an only child and there are no children in my family so I have never been around babies so didn't really know what to do! Does anyone think it is rude to expect someone else to look after your child for you?
Anyway I went to the pre auditions and decided that I will audition for a part of one of the nuns next week. I have a few lines to practice and sing "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" So I guess I will have to practice this week.
This evening our friends came to visit and DH cooked a Sunday roast which was yummy and then we watched Brother Bear. We also BOOKED OUR HARRY POTTER TICKETS!!!! We are going on Saturday 5th June!! and managed to get superior seats as we booked early

Will someone pass me a cocktail glass please, I need a re fill.....

I'm just a crazy low-carber dreaming about Easter candy. I think I could eat 78 Cadbury Creme Eggs without blinking an eye. Once I got to 79 though, I think I would definately be done for.

They have low-carb everything else, but to do a low-carb Cadbury Egg, I think it would be not only sacrilege, but nasty, too.

Hey Everyone!!!!

LoL, not like anyone here will care, but here's what happened at our yard sale/car wash/donation thingy on Sat!!!!

It was sooooo much fun!!! At one point, Heather and I asked Christy to take us to find Clint Payton, only, like, the hottest guy ever!!!!!! We saw him at Burke's{Store} and we wanted to ask him something, but he was gone before we got there!! We rode around looking for around 40 minutes, listening to deftones, trapt, and all sorts of other cd's she had!!!! She is so awesome!! We made over $700 from the yard sale/car wash, and also from a few of us at a time standing at the road asking for donations!!!! Christina and Megan would stand in the middle of the road and try and stop people!!! LoL, we were holding up signs saying, please give donations, car wash, etc... and no one would stop, so Christy made a sign that said "STOP!! GIVE MONEY NOW!!!!!!" It was sooooooo funny!!!!!!! It was so great!!!!

Christy is HILARIOUS, but then again, maybe you just have to actually know her!!!

Heather and I are probably gonna go riding with her this Friday!!
