Went to sleep 3:45 AM. Got back up at 5:45 AM. Rushed around like a chicken with it's head off but managed to get DH and oldest to the bus on time. I had little one wrapped in blankies in his car seat kinda sorta unstrapped.... please don't call the mommy police on me but I was desperate to get to the school on time. As it was DH called to tell me they didn't leave until 6:50!:faint: I mean, I could've at least put a shirt on the poor boy before throwing him into the car. (The youngest not the oldest... I don't think he would've been allowed on the bus all nakey and stuff.)

Anywho, I free.... wheeeeee :thewave:

MY BOX IS HERE!!!!!

I've opened it, smiled at every package, but don't have time to open any of them yet because I am already 10 minutes late to school. I haven't been this excited since I got my new Disney vacation planner job, and this is actually much more of a RUSH!!!

Thanks in advance to everyone for making my day :Pinkbounc :bounce: :goodvibes :lovestruc :rotfl: :jumping3: :jumping1: :jumping4: :love1: :cool1: :happy2: :cheer2:

ILT (nakey but thrilled)

p.s. I had a lot more happy jumpy thrilled smilies here, but I was advised by the DIS honcho that I had too many images... but know that I'd put 100 if I could!!!

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I have to go clean off my desk now...

Bichon Barb, I Sent Lewski709 the pages, but need time to clear out my PM box...

:bounce:

Hey, I just e-mailed Lewski this recipe. Thought I'd copy and paste it here.

Do any of you grow veggies in the summer? We have a little garden about 5' x 10' where we grow peppers and tomatoes. Here's a great healthy-easy summer recipe. (My kids don't like it, so I make them buttered noodles when we have this.) Oh, I don't usually measure when I cook. So quantities are approximate.

1 lb farfalle (bow tie pasta) or other pasta
6 oz. goat cheese
a few tomatoes chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1 finely chopped jalapeno (if I don't have a jalapeno, I just use some crushed red pepper)
1/4 cup olive oil
salt to taste

So, you toss the tomatoes with the crumbled up goat cheese basil and pepper and oil in a bowl.

Cook your pasta, drain and throw it back in the pan. Throw in the mixture and stir until the goat cheese melts.

Yummmm!!!

Oh, that sounds so goooood. Reminds me that I need to eat something. Hmmm, a nice big salad and then I'll tuck the littlest in for a nap. Yawwwwn! I think I'll join him. TTFN

We've found a few cool places to eat but we seem to rely too much on the regular chain restaurants. We keep saying we're gonna experiment a little more. I'm sure we will as we start to feel more settled. They've just sort of been something we knew while everything else going on was new to us. You know what I mean?
Ok, this one's a good one. Ocean Grill. Go down Sand Lake and hang a RIGHT at I Drive. Assuming you would be coming from your apt or Hiawassee area. Don't go down I Drive from Kirkman. It'll take you FOREVER especially around dinner time. I recommend going for dinner too, not lunch.

There's also a great steak place hidden off of Kirkman toward Colonial, but I can't remember the name of it and it isn't chain.

So I was teaching my class this afternoon - well actually we were supposed to be doing outdoor PE but it was raining so the kids were having time to finish off any unfinished work and then have some free time. Anyway there was a knock on my door and it was the school secretary. Guess what she said????

There is a big box from America waiting for you in reception!!!!

So I went to collect it and as the kids were having free time opened it right there. It was great, I had kids sitting at my feet as I unpacked and we got a map of America and found where each of the packages had come from on the map! The kids loved it!! They were so impressed that I had so many friends in America.

:thewave: :cheer2: :jumping1:  :grouphug: Thank you everyone :worship: :worship:

RRBB I'm glad you liked what I put together I loved your stuff too. Thank you.:teeth:

OMG Danauk! I am SO glad I didn't go with my first exchange idea "Hot Naked Men From Syracuse" playing cards.

:rotfl:

Just kidding! ;)

HuggaBaloo Have you tried Buca di Bepo yet? It's Italian. It's AWESOME!! So good! But be sure to take a few friends as they do not know how to serve single portions. Everything comes out in HUGE bowls and you share family-style. Their "small salad"....made the mistake of thinking it was a side salad. NOT! It serves 4-6!! We ate at the one in Colorado Springs, but hope to try the one in Orlando on our trip! That reminds me...gotta look up exactly where it is....
Not a huge fan of Bucca's, they are good....don't get me wrong, but there are way better in Orlando. Like Corleon's on I Drive and Timpano Italian Chophouse on West Sand Lake. But Bucca's is fun and good. The garlic bread is awesome.

Any idea of if you'll be able to join us yet? My spot for POFQ expires 5-1. I can reserve and cancel, just wondering if I should do that.

I need to vent for just a minute...

You know how I got the job as a Disney vacation planner? Well, I actually got the idea from working with Dreams Unlimited, and from my best friend here, whose cousin has an agency in another town. Her cousin has asked her to join her business, because up til now she has had a telephone/e-mail Disney travel service with no web site. She is putting up a website to get more business, hence the need for a new employee.

My friend just sees this is a fun job she can do from home, but she is not by any means enamored with Disney. She hasn't been since she was in high school with her chorus for Music Days, and when her College of Disney Knowledge stuff came, she didn't open the envelope for two weeks. Y'all know me well enough to know that when my CDK package came, I opened it in the driveway and started reading about it all. I took the WDW and DCL and DL tests before reading the course material just to see how I'd do, and I only missed 3 out of 60! I'll be done with the course in a couple of days.

Anyway, I am bending over backward trying not to "steal" any of her potential business... because I don't want to jeopardize the friendship. That's why I affiliated with a Nashville agency. When we were over at their house the other night, her DH said something like, "well, it looks like you all will be in fierce competition in a couple of months." My response was, "how is that possible when I am working out of Nashville? I was hoping we could use each other's expertise to bounce questions off each other, etc. I am not going to compete here." It is apparent that they have been talking about me doing this and feel threatened, and it hurts my feelings because I told her specifically I wasn't going to advertise at school or in the area at all. Obviously if my next door neighbor wants me to book a trip, I will, but I'm not looking for business here.

The thing that I can't get over is that six weeks ago, I was trying to decide on a link for my agency's website to put Disney business to me. I had decided "pixiedust@bellemeadevacations.com," and had done a trademark/servicemark search on the US official trademark site, and it didn't show up there. Saturday night, my friend said, "did I tell you what my cousin is going to call her website??? It's going to be pixiedust .com." I could have died and I'm so sad. As much PD as we have flying around here, I really wanted to use it. And now I can't because she's already using it.

If any of y'all have any ideas of something simple to remember and type (not bibbidibobbidiboo.com), let me know. Mouseears, small world, mousetyme and kingdommagic are all used up.

Okay, end of vent. I'm going to go back and read however many pages of posts I've missed this evening. Kids are in bed, DH is in Detroit, and I'm heading to the hot tub in my elephant ear leaves (they don't have fig leaves here, and they are too small, anyway). Hope some of y'all are there.

Sorry for the long vent. It's not nearly as serious as having an a** for a SIL, but it made me feel better!
Pixiedust?
