Hey Cheeringmom, I forgot to comment on AI. I was glad he got the boot, just because he was the worst singer in the bunch, but I felt bad for him. He did seem relieved to be outta there, though.

Cheeringmom I liked both of your suggestions. Good ones! I hear alot about Sam, but not so much about your son. What is he into? Just wondering because he isn't that much older than my Daniel and I'm curious. I'd like to know what's coming. I see alot of Sam in Holly if she continues the way she is now.

My ds is in a lot of activities too but doesn't seem to like any of them. He is in the National Junior Honor Society doing lots of community outreach and tutoring. He is a Life Scout and is very heavily involced with soccer. He even did the middle school production of "Cinderella" he was running crew. Doesn't like center stage like Sam. He is also involved with his junior high youth group at church. Just can't get the kid motivated for anything. I'm hoping high school will give him more motivation for extra curricular activities. He does a lot but not very willingly. It is always a push. The age and gender?? Maybe. But I just hate seeing him spend all day in front of the game boy etc. If I let him, he would. Sam is just so much more motivated. I always pray for patience with my ds. I know the two kids are totally different and I accept that, but he has so much potential. I see it everyday when he gets excited about something. I'm praying he will find his nitch in hs.!!

OHANA you are getting really good at the wrist-slapping, one day you will be a great father. But maybe you could do it a little less publicly? I remember when I was new to the DIS and I did the thing you described and you sent me a PM, which I so appreciated. I would have been soooo embarrassed if you had done it publicly. Just a suggestion. I know you mean well. Not everybody is as sensitive as me. And it's much better coming from you than a Mod., but I would prefer to be scolded in private. Always have.

Ok, I could have quoted the whole thing and it would completely, 100% describe Daniel. They are soul-brothers, I'm sure of it. And Holly is a miniature version of Sam. Daniel will do anything we sign him up for, but would never do any of it if we didn't. I think it's so important to keep them busy, keep them involved. Right now he is not allowed to play his video games except on weekends because his grades were slipping, had a "C" on his report card this last semester, which has never happened. He just doesn't much care about anything. He's just happy doing nothing. Could watch TV for hours. I too hope that he finds something that interests him. And I worry what that may be.

Ummm...I was not directing it at one person, I noticed starting a couple of weeks ago people in general have been doing it, and it wasn't just one person...So I named no names and posted the warning.

I really truly believe its a boy thing. I know ds is noticing girls and being involved is not "cool" I hear ya sista!! Keeping them involved means less trouble on the streets!!

$200 7 hours, multiple parks! (I think somewhere I had read more details on it...does Epcot and MK I think). It includes information about Disney special effects, performance and entertainment stuff......anybody do this one????

QOTD: What (if any) Disney tours have you done (and/or have you done Discovery Cove at SW to swim with the dolphins)?

I have done the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" at DL, it was very enjoyable. Also did a wonderful charity event there (that included breakfast at Club 33) with three of the old time imagineers.....hmmmmm, I wonder what that limited edition pin (only 200) would go for on e-bay?

Deadheadbelle, congrats on you hubby's promotion.....I love to celebrate with FRIED CHICKEN and chocolate cake!

Better go have 'real' breakfast and hit the shower. Can't check in at lunch today, we have a company staff meeting at lunch to 'kick-off' SWEEPS......(you know, ratings period...when all your favorite TV shows will be pulling out the big guns to get you to watch). Did I tell you we are having a big fat party on Friends finale night? I volunteered to work it....passing out VIP wrist bands and drink chits. We're having it at Jillian's.......do any of you have Jillian's in your neck of the woods? It's a sports bar/restaurant/dance club/video arcade/virtual reality hot spot.
Sort of how I envision Disney Quest to be (as I've NEVER BEEN THERE.....YET).

Oh girl, all the suggestions are wonderful, but you gotta know, this one has to be my favorite... might attract some of the same clients as my "magic wand" theory, though, and I'm not sure I wanna go there!

The recipe for "Sleep Late French Toast from the Innisfree Victorian Inn in Cashiers, NC is:

Spray lasagna pan with oil spray. Cut up one loaf French bread in 1" slices and place in dish.

Mix together:
6 eggs
1.5 cups half and half
1.5 cups milk (I use skim milk for the whole recipe and it's fine, if I don't have fat-free half and half)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Pour over bread, cover and refrigerate, and go to bed.

TOPPING (Can be prepared at night, covered, and set out on counter)

Mix together:
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. dark brown corn syrup

In the morning, crumble/spread topping on top of french toast, bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.

As always, calorie, carb, and fat free on the Island. Enjoy!

Everyone with sons who are Nintendo Couch Potatoes... I think that's the norm, rather than the exception. It's a precursor to thinking the remote control is an extension of the arm, which comes after marriage.
