Oh girl, all the suggestions are wonderful, but you gotta know, this one has to be my favorite... might attract some of the same clients as my "magic wand" theory, though, and I'm not sure I wanna go there!
The recipe for
"Sleep Late French Toast from the Innisfree Victorian Inn in Cashiers, NC is:
Spray lasagna pan with oil spray. Cut up one loaf French bread in 1" slices and place in dish.
Mix together:
6 eggs
1.5 cups half and half
1.5 cups milk (I use skim milk for the whole recipe and it's fine, if I don't have fat-free half and half)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Pour over bread, cover and refrigerate, and go to bed.
TOPPING (Can be prepared at night, covered, and set out on counter)
Mix together:
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. dark brown corn syrup
In the morning, crumble/spread topping on top of french toast, bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
As always, calorie, carb, and fat free on the Island. Enjoy!
Congrats on the big promotion, DHB... when you move to Orlando and buy and mansion, let me know...
Everyone with sons who are Nintendo Couch Potatoes... I think that's the norm, rather than the exception. It's a precursor to thinking the remote control is an extension of the arm, which comes after marriage.
I have to call the Disney sales rep and ask him if I can use the word, "Disney" in my URL... I've got tons to do now, but I will try to research later and see which of the suggestions y'all have made are available! (thanks for that link, Ohana!)
It is a gorgeous day here, and I wish I had time to go buy flats and flats of bedding plants and dig all day. But we still had real frost two nights ago, and these Yankees here tell me I have to wait until after Derby Weekend to plant.
Check y'all later! Wish I could use my Smiley Central, so I could "flash" you all a nakey good-day!!! You'll just have to use your imaginations!
