OK, I asked the person who usually takes our office's mail the best way to handle going to the post office. He answerred me "Let me take it, I have to go pick up the mail anyway. I said "There are a lot of heavy boxes. He said "So!" He knows the people at the post office and they will take special care of the boxes...

OK, now I can let RRBB stay asleep...

YES!!! By the end of the day all boxes will have been sent out, except [COLOR=33FF00]Depplyinluv[/COLOR]'s because she's at WDW and [COLOR=CC0000]Mad4Mickey[/COLOR] because I really think I should take it to her instead of wasting her money on postage. (I just can't see sending it when she's really rather close and I can drive it to her.)

I think tonight ohanafamily will finally go through everything we got. We haven't looked in any of the packages yet so it's still all a surprise to us. (I think Nephosaurus has taken a peek in a few and found chocolate. He even tried jumping in our bag when we were sorting everything out.)

Cheeringmom, honey, you don't need to apologize at all! Anyone who has lived with this stuff gets a pretty tough skin (except the kid that has it!!!). It never occurred to me that you said anything that needed forgiving! I diagnosed Katie before anyone else did, from that "child that couldn't be hugged" article in Parents mag. .. my Katie hates to be kissed! Wonder how that will play out as she gets older???? Might be okay 'til she's 30, according to my DH.

[color=6600FF]s&k'smom[/color] - I've used the Yahoo Groups SI a lot in the earlier rookie years of understanding Katie. We are in a good spot now... the psych. thinks she's probably a bit OCD, too, and she's on meds for the first time. We can see a marked difference in her anxiety level and ability to focus and to not fly off the handle if anything is "different" in her world... the best part is that she is so much happier with herself. If I could just get her to taste a hamburger!!!

The way I see it, [color=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/color], is that if your kids are functioning and happy, then maybe it's mild enough that you don't need to fix it! I read probably in that Out of Sync Child book that it is estimated that 10% of the population has some form of sensory integration issues, some are milder than others. The only time I is when someone has the nerve to say, "well if it were my child, I wouldn't let her get by with that pickiness." I finally started responding, "that 's why God didn't see fit for you to have her!"

Lewski709 - you are my soul sister, I guess! Was your ex named "Danny W" by any chance? Of course either my ex or yours could have been using an alias at the time we knew them. They probably aren't the same guy, but I bet they share a rotten chromosome from somewhere back in the gene pool! We should write a book someday ... my ex called me one night when DS was only a year and a half and we lived 3 hours from my parents, and he said, "I've got to have $70,000 tomorrow night, or I'm going to be a dead and you might be, too!" It was a drug deal gone sour and that night when he finally got home, two Sicilian guys spent the night on the sofas in our living room so no one would sneak out!!! Can you imagine what the screenplay would be if we just combined our stories?? I don't think my ex got anyone pregnant while we were married, but after we separated, the most recent of his girlfriends while we were married called me and we had a long, long talk. She was very young, and I actually felt sorry for her being involved with him. Just like you, though, as much of a nightmare my life was for those 3 years, I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't have my DS24 and I wouldn't have been in the place and time and right mindframe to meet my wonderful Real DH. We could name our book, "To H**L and Back" or something like that!

ohanafamily, thanks for the computer help. Right after I e-mailed you, I did a virus scan, which came up with a few spyware type things, but nothing else. I checked my McAfee configurations and found I wasn't automatically scanning for viruses on every file that the computer used ... it was just set to "program files," I think. That's been changed. This a.m., the only thing I can see that is wrong is that my Internet Explorer won't open up at all, so I've made Netscape my default browser. My guess is that I need to uninstall Internet Explorer, since it appears to be corrupt. What do you think?

Well, I have to go to the #$! job and pay bills. He didn't advertise last week in the local paper to replace me, so I think I'm going to have to be decisive and give him a deadline. I hate being pushy like that.

I've gotta go take the first 4 College of Disney Knowledge tests. I filled the parts out about Disneyland and Walt Disney World and the Cruise Line before doing the coursework, just to see how much I already knew. I hardly missed any. I am so ready to start this new venture!!! That's what keeps me sane at the #$!$ job!

OK Everyone, I tried not to have to leave, but...I will be back in a half hour to see if I can get this mess straightened out!!!!!

OK, I hopped into my SUV, exited the parking lot, took a right and compressed the gas pedal to the floor board of the car and the 4 Miles to the Post Office were made in a very short amount of time. I walked in to the Post Office (They all know me because I rake the mail occasionally, and I deal with Postal Problems)

Ummm, Hi, Umm My friend had a brain Freeze...Is there any way we can make these Priority...There is Chocolate in the packages...
::response was "I asked him 3 times....Sure, we will just have to add some tape and re-figure the postage..."

Uhhh....I don't know how to say this, but that IS my DH!! Same name anyway....but from the *wonderful* descriptions, it just HAS to be a HUGE coincidence! As we've all heard, my DH is a little too close to perfect....

Ha ha!!! Lots of guys are named Danny W, and my ex was honorably discharged about 27 years ago from the Army due to a medical problem ... and I bet he'd be about 56 by now. Doesn't sound like your sweetie at all!!! Wanna underwrite Lewski's and my screenplay with a little $$$? I bet it would pay off!

So all the swap boxes have gone!! I can't wait to get it, thank you again ohanafamily and RRBB
[COLOR=66FF00]iluvtink[/COLOR] and Lewski709 your ex's sound like a complete nightmare, at least you got rid of them and were able to move on.

I was trying to think of what school story to tell next but an incident today reminded me of one. Last year I taught the older kids (9-11 year olds) who were in the special needs class so some of them were very naughty and had learning difficulties. One day one of them tried to set fire to the school, only he tried to set fire to a wet floor and wondered why it would not burn Luckily the school survived and the boy was sent home for a week.

Oh well, my dinner is ready so I will be back later

Mine was Kevin S. He too was honorbaly (or so I thought) discharged from the Navy. I found out later it wasn't honorable. He bit a woman. I never was into 20+ yr older men, so it wasn't your guy. Mine was hatched from some cesspool in 1970, I think. I care not remember but I know it was 9/23.

As far as the pregnancy thing, well........it didn't take a brainiac to figure out the two of you were pregnant at the same time.
