Jessie is saying hi back at you, oddball27 ;)

I missed most of today's race---I was knocked out by some cough medicine until 4:30pm Eastern. I hope it was not my redneck cousins throwing things---well the ones who aren't working there today.

::yes:: They do call themselves rednecks---I'm a city/high-class redneck who married an almost Yankee who they taught their versions/classification of redneck.

LoL, sry, call me blonde{well, streaks anyway, lol}, but who's Jessie??? :teeth:

Check out Jessie in the TAGLIKINS Pets.:sunny:

She likes to help move the mouse at the computer and tries to type. I have to find pictures of her doing this when she was younger and cuter.

lol, too cute!!!! I REALLY want a huskie now!!!!! my dad says that i can have one, but i bet by the time i am able to go and get one, he will say NO!!!!!!! :teeth: :wave2:

:dog: They are expensive and need a lot of attention--well at least my lab mix. Jessie is not mean-she is good around children-well Matthew is the exception. I think she was freak out by him a couple of times. She only saw him two occasions. Jeesie didn't flinch when our then 3 year old niece scream in her ears and chase her around our yard and house. Jessie likes peace and quiet. She is very protective of me--so no guys should even attempt to sneak up on me--even NC Beast. She is extremely stubborn.

LoL, my dog Bubba, {my cousin named him because I was 5 when we got him, and I couldn't decide between Spot and Rover, they were the only dog names I knew, LoL!!!!!!} is EXTREMELY protective of my family, but especially me!!!!!:teeth: He is my baby!! one day shelby{5 at the time} and savannah{4 at the time} walked over to my aunts house. Her house was about half a mile away, and we all lived by a lake!!!! we couldn't find them, and I noticed that Bubba was gone!! We were freaking out, and then my aunt called and told us that they were there, and Bubba was with them!! Bubba had walked all that way with them!!:teeth: And whenever I'm outside, he is with me, when I go on walks, he walks with me!! I LOVE him sooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!:teeth:

Hi guys....I'm back...

Lewski709I'm amazed and amused with your brushes with the police.....you poor thing...what a crazy neighbor:crazy: and it sounds like her kids are just like the mom......and what a crazy ex-husband.....I'm gonna find out when "Cops" comes on TV and look for you.......I never knew we had a TV star living on the island!:teeth:

And I have a confession to make and I hope it won't be too upsetting for anyone......I've lived in NC most of my life and have NEVER seen a car race and really don't ever care to....there, I've said it..........not only that but I just don't understand why so many people have the #3 on their car windows, I think Jeff Gordon looks like a wimp and have never understood the meaning of "Petty Blue".......is it some sort of sadness or really a color?.......ok, I'm now sitting here waiting for lightning to strike.....

cadburysmom
Petty blue is an actual color that was made by Richard Petty's Dad, Lee Petty. I have to look up the details of it----its like robin egg blue in its shade. It was a good story too...there were four generations of Pettys in Racing that I know of so far. 1st-Lee Petty (who I think also had brothers involve) who is Richard Petty's daddy who is the father of Kyle Petty who son Adam was fatally injured in a race several years ago.

The Alabama Gang was so awesome in the late 1970's and 1980's.

I remember hearing about the youngest Petty's death....so sad... You sound like a big Nascar fan....do you and NCBeast travel to all the different races?

Ok, I never said Ex Husband...................but he was. We were married for 6mo's and then I got it anulled. Been married to DH for 7yrs and together 8yrs.

Oh, and it's Real Stories of the Highway Patrol, not Cops. I love to watch Cops and AMW (america's most wanted) though. RSoftheHP is only on reruns and I have never seen "my" episode, but I heard someone else talking (a long time ago) about it that had seen it, so I know it's out there.

iluvtink the episode of AMW was from Hudson, OH. I thought that's where you lived now. My mistake.

We have not been to any races. My Dad's side works at Talladega during the races. My paternal grandparents used to go to the races at Atlanta and Talladega---before they passed on of course. I was taught to appreciate at an early age :D. NC Beast started to watch when we dated---he used to watch it with my Dad. My Dad would have MRN (the radio boardcast) and watch it on his big screen. The parents watch it on tv still-they have not been to a race in years. They used to go to minor car races at Rosecroft in the DC area during the early 1970's---my youngest uncle remembers being scared of my Dad's yelling at those races. My Dad has mellowed down since then---until probably today.;)

You said it was your "ex" so I just assumed you meant exhusband...thank goodness you were able to get that marriage annulled! Sounds like you're married to a great guy now though:)

NC Belle Ok, so I'd say your family is really into racing so next time I have a question, I will definitely know who to come to:teeth:

Well, gotta go take Cadbury for her nightly walk.....she's staring at me with those "time to walk me" eyes and drooling on my leg as I type.........

QOTD: When you sign on to the DIS, do you go right to your UserCP first......and do you have other TAGLIKINS listed as buddies, so you can see who's on line?

I DO.

ibouncetoo Most of the time I go straight into the CP, and yes, most everyone here is on my Buddy List...

OK, we went to this thing honoring my friend, It was suppoesed to start at 3:00. Did I mention I bought the wrong size of Boxes for the Swap? I got ones that were 3 times large than they needed to be (lol) RRBB was laghing so hard at me when she saw that three bags would fit comfortably in each box...I digress...

We look up the church on Mapquest, but there is a word missing and it is on West...not East... We print the directions, and blast out of here at 2:30 (15 minutes later than I wanted to leave. My foot was a little on the heavy side because it was about twice as far as I thought it should be. It was right off of the highway, and we found it easily. I saw someone else from my office, and we all sat down together. I thought it was a party, I am glad I brought a jacket (I was feeling a little underdressed. Well, Robin and I were very much out of place in this revival church. Let's just say that I know how James Bond felt in Live and Let Die...OK, it was a special awards service...at 5:30, one of the Deacons made the comment it was supposed to have been over by 5:00...5:45 we got out of there (It really meant a lot to my friend that Robin and I came) and I asked her whether or not she thought we could make it to the office supply store..(you know, the one where I go every couple of days and am on a first name basis with all of the MGRS... Well, we pull up at 5:59, I run in just before they lock the door. I get the right number of size of box I need (they gave me the sale price that expired yesterday 3 for 2), head home, start the grill, and start making boxes. Put on the Staeks, More Boxes..run out of tape...Found another roll..Checked the steaks (a little crispy on the bottoms, but OK... finished the bottoms of the boxes...Put the Salmon on...brought the Steaks in...Flipped the Salmon...Brought the Salmon in...At Dinner, and sat down to 3 pages to read. It is now almost 9:00PM, and we have the swap to finish up...It may be Tuesday before it gets out (except for kadaten and Danauk which need to be done on Monday Priority and Global Priority...

geffric, Great Hike Story...

---------------------------

Lewski709, I will post an experience or two I have had with the Police... I am a good person, and in order to have the CW permit you have to pass a fairly thorough background check, and not have any serious crimes against you...I will post a couple of stories later...
