Just dropping by quickly as the inlaws phoned about half an hour ago and said they were in town and were stopping by!!!! So after 10 minutes of me frantically running around and cleaning (the house was tidy but I had a quick just and sweep) they arrived on the doorstep (they live over an hour away). So now my diet friendly dinner that DH and I were planning has now turned into getting food from the local cantonease takeaway. I'm not really that happy about it as I have been trying really hard this week. Oh well I'll just have a small portion.
I better go the food is on the table.

Oh, but I haven't been at it all day. Just until Ella got up this morning. Then we went to do some business errands and then we went to MIL's house for lunch with her and DHB and her kids.

I can't decide what foreign country I would want to live in. I think it rains too much in England, Scotland and Ireland. I need the English language to be spoken and I would like to have at least equivalent weather to what I have now, preferably better.

Suggestions?

Deadheadbelle~87 degrees, sunny, wind 5mph South....yeah, great four-wheeler {redneck } weather, but I'm babysittin', and there's these dudes outside workin on our house!! Sooooo I can't go outside!! Heather is babysittin too, and there isn't anything else to do!!!!

Speaking of rednecks, DH had to work in another area about an hour from hear for about a month & it was redneck heaven. One day he came home & he said while he was driving, he saw a lady (well, a female person) sitting on her porch chewing tobacco & she had a bobcat sitting next to her.

Holly just informed me that she tested on reading today to 3rd grade level! She just doesn't know what she is going to do! She's so silly, wish you guys could here her tell it. She's a hoot to listen too. Anyway, she's so happy with herself right now. He's a Navy LT...so O-3. But he pins on LCDR 1 July so we're negotiating for O-4 orders. Talked to him this morning. He was seeking refuge from a storm in a phone booth in Munich so he called me Read him the email from his detailer (you guys heard it before he did...ssshhhhhh!! ) He finally fessed up that in spite of "threatening" me with Omaha and St. Louis for over a year now, he's not really interested in them!!! Gave him his point of contact in Tampa and he called him, too. Called me back very encouraged, so I think it may be Tampa! He's going to think about it over the weekend and tell the detailer on Monday.

This is the first time we've had kids to think about with orders. We were in DC last time, and had both our kids there. Knew these orders would only be 2.5 years so no schooling to worry about. We'll leave here when Abbie is 4.5 next summer, and she won't start school that fall due to a late birthday. But she will do K and 1st grade on this tour, so we'll pick our neighborhood by schools, even though it'll be another year off. The intel community is really small, so we don't get many choices as to bases, especially as he moves up. Going to DC, we had our choice of 6 sets of orders!! Never again...(and to think we turned down Hawaii and Key West and Miami that time....as well as Fallon, NV and Norfolk...)

Anyway, probably TMI, but there it is Hope that friend of your DD is doing ok!!
