Okay, 1 marathon...

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_72.gif' alt='Too Funny' border=0></a>

Okay 1 mile...

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_72.gif' alt='Too Funny' border=0></a>

Well, I might have run a mile once but I bet I had to walk during part of it. Running is not high on my list of fun things to do. Now that I have a bad lower back, it's not a healthy thing for me to do either ... yeee haaa! Finally, a medical excuse!

Hmmm....

let's try this one...

Danauk, thanks for the pix of the lovely shoes. Do people always wear them in two different colors? I simply MUST have a pair to run my next marathon!

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_205.gif' alt='Rolly 2' border=0></a>

Gosh, y'all, I have been sitting in the hot tub just waiting for company. Maybe I need a shower, too? Thank goodness Brad Pitt stopped by. I'm tired of talking to myself... Hmm.. he hasn't seemed to think I stink at all...

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_6_101v.gif' alt='Yawn' border=0></a>, I'm getting a bit groggy. Don't worry, it's not the Chardonnay! DH snored a LOT las night.

Anyway, I'm heading off to bed ... I believe my sweet friend, <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/24/24_2_20.gif' alt='Brad' border=0></a> is going to make sure I get there safely and maybe give me a quick neck rub, then I'll send him back down to wait for anyone who drops by later. Aren't I the devoted wife??? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_22.gif' alt='Angel 3' border=0></a> I'll check back in, in the morning after I get the kids to school.

g'night all.

p.s. If you are all ignoring me and waiting for me to go to bed, or to leave the Island, it ain't gonna work. I just loves y'all!

:wave2: Hi everyone. What a nice relaxing Sunday we had today. I slept late, mostly because I kept waking up in the middle of the night, thinking about DHB's mom, then getting really pissed off at her bro/SIL, then falling back to sleep. I had a small breakfast, played on the puter for a while, finished some pages for a "Trading Pages" swap, then ohanafamily and I ran over to the mall. He had a DVD set on pre-order that he wanted to pick up. So while we were there we had lunch and wandered around a bit. Came home and he watched a lot of shows he had on Tivo while I took a nice little nap then went up to my scrapping room to work on a MK swap. Dinner was "fend for yourself" then we watched two episodes of Alias - last weeks and this weeks. Now it's time to play on the puter for a little bit longer. Is everyone out in the hot tub or maybe in the theater munching on popcorn and watching a good movie???

Hello Everyone...

Kinda slow around here today. If the rest of the country has been as nice as it's been here today, I know why! So
SUNNY and a balmy 82º degrees :) Finally!!!

Well, let's see...QOTD.....I'm a Pisces, but other than being wishy-washy, I don't really act like a fish, or so my DH says. He likes to read all that stuff....has a book that breaks it down to each day of the year. For example, my birthday is the "Day of the Viable Candidate". I supposedly "specialize in offering not only their ideas but also themselves as viable alternatives to less than ideal circumstances. They are often problem solvers engaged in moving things forward in a positive direction. Once those born on this day are convinced that they are the best candidate for a job, position of family leadership or social responsibility, they must secure that position, or at least receive a fair hearing. Their arguments are usually cogent and sound, as is their advice, for rarely do the try to cinvince anyone of their views until they have done their homework thoroughly.

...are realists, down-to-earth individuals adept at sizing up a situation and placing their finger on precisely what can be improved. Unfortunately, (that) realism may in fact be pessimistic and particularly in later life, those born on this day must beware of becoming hypercritical, even bitter. .....

Ok, this goes on and on....and it beginning to sound more and more like me. I never really gave it much credence so I never read it....must tell DH I like his book. :) Yes, I do like to "fix" things, and am known to offer lots of advice to those needing help......why I keep coming to the DIS....I can give people advice who actually want it :teeth:

Anyway...

Waaaahhhhh!! Just ONCE I want to sleep late!

That's it! RRBB, the kids will be on the next plane to you! Abbie likes to rise and shine around 6am....and I do mean shine! Noone should be allowed to be THAT happy THAT early in the morning...."Look Mommy! The sun came back! Yay! Get up, mommy, the sun came back!" Walt will rise and wail any time between 5am and 7am...just to keep you guessing and make it impossible for you to shower in the morning....but will at no time sleep past 7am...you might enjoy it too much!

Just send them back whenever you're tired of them... :teeth:

New QOTD for tomorrow (stolen from another thread):

If you could (or had to) work at Disney, which job would you choose?

Me....I'd like to work in Guest Relations. They get to lots of cool things that often can make or break a person's trip, and I'd love the opportunity to be able to spread the magic in such a direct way! I'm thinking....tour guide, or City Hall workers who help solve problems, make suggestions, etc....

OMG...did you guys see this? delswife is going to Disney during our October TAG Meet! Does anyone else just love reading her stories? They're so hilarious!! Says the Zurgs are going, too....

Well, I've just remembered I didn't pay the bills on the 16th  so I gotta go do that. Been nice talking to myself here....

Will check back in before hitting the hay ;)

Hey All...
QOTD, I would love to sell DVC as a retirement job...

Depplyinluv, welcome back. I have been on Advair fore a while now, I only can say don't even think about taking it with food. Take the Advaire about a half hour before. When I was first put on it, I had not been given this warning and I threw up every night (about 4 hours after I took the advair.....YUCK!!!
A nurse (from a totally different kind of Dr. told me her son was on Advaire and had that problem...I understand you went to visit your Grandma, how is she? I had a couple of nice e-mails with your mom about the swap, She really loves you a bunch. Oh, speaking of which, HuggaBaloo dropped out and Tigger Fans! is in; is it OK if I white out the HuggaBaloo on his card, and can I post the link and code your mom asked me to include? Please PM me with any special instructions...is the world really round, and isn't the Advair "Huffer Puffer" really cute?....We missed you. Oh, and Lewski709 really isn't pregnant...

:bounce:

QOTD: I want to be the train engineer or a monorail driver. Or a guest relations, a character, sales....

NC Beast wants to work as a computer geek there---but he might need more unix experience.

"the Advair "Huffer Puffer" really cute?...." I just "love" my round purple advair....Ohana--I react the same to it--I take my in between meals when possible. Hopefully, I will be off it soon--I am taking it for brochial troubles. My doctors gives me the samples to use. I like it having a counter.

its getting late ... Did we ever find Simon Baker?
YAWN I am not sleepy .... just yawny is that a real word?

well, not much shaking here, so I'm gonna sign off and watch the rest of Trading Spaces and have a bowl of ice cream :)

I deserve it....

this weekend....
--DH left for another week (not normally too bad, but it's spring break so no preschool so no "one-kid-days" and a very bored Abbie)
--Walt was trying to "help" me by unpacking the pantry and dropped a bottle of syrup...even though it was PLASTIC, it broke and there was syrup everywhere...despite LOTS of cleaning, I still keep finding sticky spots  YUCK!! I don't have enough high shelves to keep everything out of his reach!!
--Walt has learned to climb out of the crib  but he will not listen to anyone or anything, so the big boy bed is out of the question...so off we went to buy one of those crib tents (kiddie prison)...got it all put together, and he didn't act any differently when I put him to bed, so I hope it goes smooth....don't know what else to do to keep him in....and he'll hurt himself if he gets up and wanders around at night...or I'll be up all night trying to keep him in his room
--Walt was having quite an afternoon and took to slamming his bedroom door...and knocked down a picture hanging above...it hit him square between the eyes where he now has a nice little gash

But all in all, my weekend hasn't been as bad as llebrekniT's and Deadheadbelle's so I gotta keep things in perspective. So glad to hear you mom/MIL is on the mend!! Keep us posted on her condition... continued prayers, pixie dust, and hugs to your whole family!!

Nite y'all!!

QOTD: Comedy Warehouse CM or somewhere in MGM Studios

Just talking with DBF via IM

kadaten My friend had kind of the same problem with her little boy. He would get up during the night and wander around the house...yes, very dangerous. Sometimes she'd find him in the morning curled up asleep in the kitchen. They ended up locking him in his room each night by reversing the knob so the lock is on the outside of the door. This definitely did the trick. Around this time, my son had just moved out of his crib to a big boy bed and I was having a hard time keeping him in his room at bedtime. I locked him in once and he screamed and cried and banged on the door like he was being tortured. It scared him so badly that after that first night, he always stayed in his bed and I was able to take the lock off his door. Worked like a charm. I know I'm lucky because my son learned his lesson right away but my friend had to go through many nights of locking her son in. I guess this sounds kind of like child abuse, but they need to learn to at least stay in their room.

Sometimes it's tough to be a parent......thank goodness they're worth it:teeth:

Well..yawn...can't believe I'm up sooo late but still trying to get the house ready for Jordan's birthday party tomorrow night. We usually go to the Melting Pot for a nice fondue birthday dinner but this year he wanted me to fix his favorite - shrimp and grits....it's a yummy southern dish for you yankees out there::yes::. My parents, brother and sister-in-law and their two babies are coming. My mother is a neatness nut so I've been cleaning like mad. Just hope everything turns out ok. I still can't believe Jordan will be 10 years old......it makes me FEEL so old....oh, well, gotta face up to it sometime....:(

Well, I hear my pillow calling and gotta get some beauty sleep so I won't get too uglified during the night......

Sweet dreams one and all.......zzzzzzzzzz
