I know, I know. Actually with the noise it made I was very afraid to look, thought I had hit something that would have left a big 'ol dent. Could've been much worse.

There are cheerleaders at Daniel's games. They are called Holly and Ella. Holly is very much into cheerleading, and Ella is very much into doing whatever Holly does.

And Lewski, cheerleading starts at 5 here. You're never too young to learn how to properly shake your pom-poms. Right CMom?

First kiss - The summer I was going into 8th grade. His name was - you aren't going to believe this Barb - Scotty and it happened under the neatest old tree at the elementary school on our street. Now that I look back on it, he was a terrible kisser. Too wet! That tree got taken out a while back and I was so upset. Not because of the kiss, because I am a tree FREAK! I absolutely love trees. It had these giant roots that were all above ground. The kind you would probably see in one of Rick's movies. There were little nooks and crannies and we would hide stuff in them, drive little cars through them, etc. Can't remember what kind of tree it was but it was very cool.

OK, obviously the tree left more of an impression on me than the kiss.

Gotta run! Ella's giggle tells me she's up to no good....

How are you SORT OF invited? Either you are sent an invitation or you aren't. If you weren't and it was "mentioned" I wouldn't go. You weren't really invited.
Nope, not really interested in going to this wedding. Someone came into ohanafamily's office a few weeks ago and gave him a a verbal invite and said the invitation would be hand delivered. It never showed. Turns out they sent a singe invitation to his parents for the whole family. The reason we may go is because ohanafamily's decided not to go but he thinks someone (us) should go to represent the family. Whatever :confused3 ... I still need to go check my closet to see if I have anything to wear.

Part of me wants to just say, "Hey, gimme a promotion and add me to your team and I'll do whatever needs to get done."
Definitely go ask for the promotion and raise. Ya never know, you might actually get it. :teeth:

Oh, that.

False alarm, kind of.

She was just feeding the dogs some Apple Jacks. It tickles when they lick her hand.

But, it's naptime, so I'm really leaving now. Back in about an hour.

Okay QOTD (and a good one if I say so myself):

Tell us about your first kiss...I mean REAL kiss--no pecks on the cheek (if you are brave enough ;) )
First kiss given to me, I was on the "Tween Trek" - 3 week bus tour with 40 kids going into the 7th, 8th and 9th grades. I was going into 8th grade. There was a lot of "going with" going on, and because we were together 24/7 with lots of time on the bus there was lots of "breaking up" too. Of course the 9th graders were really cool, the 7th and 8th grade boys were dorks. Anyway, I remember kissing one guy (Henry) good night and he totally shocked and grossed me out with a bit of tongue. Nope, that wasn't good. Of course I was so young then.

But a few months later, towards the end of 8th grade I was "going with" one of the 5 boys in my class - his name was David. (I went to a small private school and there were only 13 of us in my 8th grade class.) My mom dropped me off at his apartment during spring break to go swimming. His mom was down by the pool sunning herself, but the pool we had all to ourselves. The kiss happened while we were standing against the side of the pool closest to her (so she couldn't see). I think for 14 year olds it was pretty nice. I'm sure I had a goofy grin on my face when my mom picked me up later that day. And for the record, we "went out" for the last few months of the school year and into the summer. We had another "date" before the end of school - my parents dropped me off and we went to a movie. I won't go into the details of the time before the movie or the actual movie where we sat on the back row. But yes!!! I do remember the name of the movie - "Car Wash". He missed our 8th grade graduation because he in Italy with his mother, but he gave me a pretty hard necklace when he got back.

I lost track of David a few years ago, but I saw him once when I was on a business trip to NJ. Instead of flying home for the weekend and back again I stayed in the area and went into NYC for a few hours to see him. He was a doctor by then. We wrote letters for a while but the last one I sent him, about 8 years ago came back to me.

Bichon Barb, did I share enough?

Ok, still trying to catch up on QOTDs

QOTD: Favorite books
...
Wrinkle in Time
...

Guess what's on television Monday night?!?!? Yup, you got it. A Wrinkle in Time. It's on ABC primetime - 7-10pm here. I think it's the "Wonderful World of Disney" movie. I heard an ad for it on Radio Disney yesterday and checked Tivo guide last night.

Okay, now for yesterday's QOTD.

I broke my first bone - my middle toe - last fall right before we went to Disneyland.

But just because I've only broken one bone in my life doesn't mean I haven't had other serious things happen. When I was in 7th grade I stepped on a needle and it broke in my foot. Thing is in never bled and when my dad looked at it he couldn't find anything. A few months later I noticed I was walking funny so my dad took me to the doctor and the xray showed a half needle in my foot. I had to have surgery to remove it. I've also stepped on a toothpick and of course broken glass. Let's just say if there's something sharp on the floor/ground, I'll find it with my feet.

My first kiss WAS a full blown--shall we say--Kiss Francais? Sighhhhhh. But it wasn't Jim Careyesque. It was very sweet.

Hey, has anyone seen "Love Actually"? Great feel good movie!

We had to read that in the 5th grade!! I remember the time because every day Nathan would sit beside me, and the teacher would try and split us up, {but she never succeeded} saying that we were too young to have boyfriends/girlfriends, LoL!!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Evening all from rainy England!! I wish the weather would brighten up. I'm not sure which season is worst, winter with all the cold and snow or spring with all the rain.

Well that's a half-fanny invite.
I'm may sound like a silly English girl but what exactly does this mean? In England it would be something quite rude!!

So does anyone have plans for this evening? I don't. DH has to listen to the exam tapes for the exams in a few weeks. Not sure what I will do, we may order chinease food for dinner. I think I will watch a DVD tonight. I got Freeky Friday last week as I loved that movie when I was younger so I think I will watch that.

QOTD: First kiss. OK I was a late starter, my first kiss was with my first (and only other besides DH) b/f Simon when I was 17. I can't remember where it happened!! We stayed friends for years after we broke up and he came to my wedding.

Oh well, I need to go and sort out dinner.

oddball27 I noticed something wrong with the smilies yesterday. Some of them have gone (there were 115 and now there are 109). The dog has gone and so as the yawn and sleep!! I liked those ones.

Hey, where are all those baby pics? The email box is empty. Doesn't anyone want to play?

Hey guys - I am totally doing a drive by here :moped:<<<<<<<<

But I was thinking :scratchin this all night long and wanted to let RickinNYC know that I was thinking of him while watching the Extreme makeover Home Edition last night. Before I get yelled at, I want everyone to know that I worship the ground that the NYFD walk on. I just spent last night thinking how worthy and wonderful Rick and Joe are and that they should have been the ones on the show.

Ok - that's my little shout out for the day. I'm off to have a romantic date with my DH nd celebrate my birthday

QOTD: I can't remember my first kiss - is that sad or what. I know who it was with but I just can't remember the exact time it happened. I was in sixth grade and it was the twin brother of my best friend. :faint:

CASTLEGAZER! Hi there! So nice of you to say. And it would have been nice to have been on the show, but I guess that's just the way it goes. But that so sweet of you. And, one more thing....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

:sunny: :sunny: :cake: :cake: :bday:
