Tagliarchy Island Part 2

Gee, everybody sleeping in this morning?
I'm here to avoid doing housework.....can't even get awake enought to sort through the swap box and send out my Thank You's.

Danauk, I'll have to use you as my inspiration to get cracking on those chores. BTW, loved your postcard....it's so pretty there! I haven't been to England in about 25 years, but I remember everything so clearly. York was my favorite city and I loved the little town in north Wales...can't remember how to spell it, think it was Betwys-y-coed. Actually, I've had many past lives in the UK.....so it's really like HOME to me. (Did you guys know I was one of those re-incarnation WACKOS?)

Well, have to call Disneyland and get a PS for Goofy's Kitchen for dinner next Saturday, and Carnation Cafe breakfast on Sunday....yep, turned into a two day park hopper ticket instead of one day admittance to Calif. Adventure. It's going to be a MADHOUSE there next weekend (first weekend of TOT being open to the public....it opens on Monday). I remember when Indiana Jones opened the wait time was 4 HOURS! We have our strategy already planned, but doubt we'll get to ride more than twice:hyper:

Danauk...I'll have a cup of tea....Early Grey decaf please!

Check in with you later TAGLIKINS

ibouncetoo I grew up near York and love it there too. It was about a 20 minute train ride from my house so I used to go there quite a bit.
I remember when I was in school someone worked out what I was in a past life. I was supposed to have lived in Spain, I wonder if that is why I prefer to study Spanish rather than French?

Danauk, I was a flaminco (sp?) dancer in Spain! (Isn't that a rather glamorous illusion?) Had some bad times in France.....don't like France.

Here's a QOTD: (Pretend you believe in re-incarnation) What was one of your past lives?

When I was studying Spanish in high school we went to a Spanish school for a month. In Spain they learn Flamenco as part of their education so I had to learn it for a while too. I loved it. Now visiting Paris a few weeks ago reminded me of why I don't really care for the French way of life. I had forgotten how they have no concept of waiting in line for something (they just push right past you!!) I guess English people are maybe too polite in that respect! I loved it when we got back to DLP from the city, it was so much calmer and less stressful!

Good morning, zzzzzzzzzzz....

What, no one wants breakfast today? Well, since I made chocolate chip pancakes for Katie, I might as well make them for y'all, too. There's also bagels with chocolate Neufchatel cheese, and Starbucks coffee.

My Katie is still sick and very grumpy, and she has a huge project on Sacajewea due on Monday ... has to finish reading her biography and then make a time capsule with 5 items that would have been important to Sac, plus right about each one and then decorate the box a la Sac as well. Then she has a math page of fractions, which she despises on a good day, and a science experiment on muscles which should be okay and fun. Even when Katie is feeling great and her meds are working and she's a happy kid, she HATES homework, so trying to get her to get this all done in the next two days when she feels like crap should make for a delightful weekend. :worried:

cadburysmom - The thing about eating at CRT is that the atmosphere is fairly small and intimate. I was talking to group dining this a.m. about the chances of us getting a PS for 24 for breakfast (ha ha ha) and the CM was very knowledgeable and friendly and didn't laugh in my face! She did say that there were only 16 tables there. We've only eaten there for breakfast when our girls were younger, so the whole castle/princess experience was very, very magical. Dinner there used to have a mediocre reputation and I don't know if that has changed. We ate lunch one time with Pooh at CP, and I'll second geffric's opinion that for growing boys, a buffet is better. However, the lunch menu at the time was not much of what my kids would eat. Have you looked at the dinner menu? At CRT breakfast, it was still all you could eat, but there was a limited menu and they just brought more eggs, more french toast, whatever you asked for. I think everyone should eat in the Castle once, just because that this the one image of Disney we've all known since toddlerhood. I've made this about as clear as mud, haven't I? Oh well... I think you would enjoy either one!

For PS's on our trip, we have Whispering Canyon for 24 at 5:00 p.m on the day we arrive, then Donald's Breakfastosaurus for 24 at 8:00 a.m. on July 30th. Everybody is going to try individually as families for a chance at CRT on Sunday a.m., but DU is making a PS for me at Norway Princess breakfast for us all, in case people don't get CRT. I still need to decide where we should eat for dinner the other days... am leaning toward Rose and Crown because we had such a lovely time there on our last visit. By the end of the evening, we had two young British waiters sitting with us, as well as the restaurant manager and just about everyone else had gone home, and we were all roaring at the stories being toldl!!! That would be an adults-only meal. Any other suggestions for 12 adults?

QOTD: I don't know who or what I was, but I know I was strangled in a previous life. Since I was a little kid, I cannot stand for someone to reach toward my neck. My little sister used to tease me by putting her hand out toward my neck and one day, I knocked the #!$@# out of her arm and bruised it badly. I didn't mean to, either, it was just a natural reaction. So I fear no axe murderers, just stranglers. I've never asked if any of you are one of those....

Be back in a bit... laundry is calling. I am trying to postpone my homework confrontation wtih Katie.

iluvtink, Sorry to say it sounds like you have a virus running around in your system. If you do call Microsoft, tell them about the popup screen and the Virus alert that you know wasn't from the Virs Scan SW you are running (they sometimes discount or comp service calls if you mention it was from a virus....

Sorry....
:bounce:

Thanks, OF,I'll do that on Monday, when I am alone and can concentrate on the problem without interruption from loved ones!

:)

Here's something cute to begin the day!

Now on to the suggestion for winning the money at the derby by Deadheadbelle....I can't find where to do the registering. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_5.gif' border=0></a>
hyzdufan if helium made me light, I'd be an addict. I don't do much helium, but I've never been able to float anywhere but on water. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_1_1.gif' border=0></a>

The weather is dreary here....no I didn't say dairy air. I just got in from planting some seeds. More seeds. If my <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_201.gif' border=0></a> this year doesn't work out well, next year things are really going to be <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_25.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_31.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_39.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_50.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_42.gif' border=0></a> and quite beautiful. That is if we are still stuck here to see it all. I hope not. But hey, maybe by then I will have another <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_4_5.gif' border=0></a>....I really hope not. I do know llebrekniT thinks I should continue with child bearing, easy for HER to say.

Speaking of viruses, remember last weekend I spent 1/2 a day on my moms computer. She had 248, yes I did not make a mistake248 viruses. All programming had to be dumped and reloaded, just as I suspected. Cost 150.00....which included a 40.00 virus protection program (double what I told her to pay) but it's done.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_4_77.gif' border=0></a>

QOTD: I was a detective, FBI, CIA or Secret agent.

Probably gives me the tough and cold exterior I have today and I totally missed my calling. I always wanted to be FBI, don't know why I didn't pursue it. I should have. I love sluething and am a great judge of characters.

Inside, I am a big <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_145.gif' border=0></a> with a mended <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_207.gif' border=0></a>.

Lewski709, Tye is an angel!!! That picture would melt Cruella's heart!

As far as the Derby thing, go to this page: http://www.kentuckyderby.com./2004/, then look about mid-screen and there is a really obnoxious cartoon of a man's face by a stack of money... It says "Kentucky Derby $5,000,000 Pay Day ... sign up now, it's free". That's where you click, register, then pick the finishing order of all of the horses. If I win, I am giving each of my TAGLIKIN friends $$ presents, so everyone cross your fingers and toes!!! :teeth:

Don't mess with Scorpios! Really, it's alright, I only go berserk once or twice a year....don't worry.....:hyper:

I have a brain cramp and can't remember or find the post... who is going to Disneyland and when? There are some Disneyland specials I saw and want to make sure you know about. Is it ibouncetoo???

:wave2: Good morning all. I'm heading out in a few minutes to meet some online friends that I met on a message board that closed down last night. We've had other get-togethers over the last few years, but this one is to "celebrate" the time we had together on that site. (I never asked if any of them are axe murderers.) We're going to the Dallas World Aquarium (http://www.dwazoo.com/info.html). I've never been there before, but it's supposed to be really cool.

Today is National Scrapbook Day so Nieceosaurus is sitting in front of the big screen TV watching QVC. I sure hope she hasn't found my credit cards.

Well, I'd better head out if I want to get there in time. TTYL.

iluvtink...couldn't get that link to work.......

YES.... I'm going to Disneyland next weekend......what specials?
