thanks everyone she is in better spirits today. she had practice for drill till almost 7 :scared1:

but the other issue I was having (and several other moms) is that they have 15 uniforms but only picked 13 and the two that didn't make are really really good! and the coach said it was a 1/100 of a point. :confused3

other moms that saw what happened asked us what happened they were just as shocked as we were and the girls didn't understand.

the two girls is my dd and other girl that have been on the team since peewee and never not made it. the other girl is the best tumbler period out of all the girls. we are baffled to say the lest. :confused3

You know, I just hope that if my son gets into sports I can handle the sometimes seemingly non-sensical way things are done.

I'm sorry your daughter is exposed to all that, but then again, I guess it's a good lesson. :confused3

Good Morning, Ladies!

And Gents! Do we have any Gents? I include them anyway! :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Good morning. I forgot. There is some good news regarding the weather around here. The ice went out a few days ago and we can see lake again. That's a good indication for spring. :rose: I think it will be warmer today. Hoping for upper 50's without a cold breeze. Sun is out. :)

Well, that's good! I haven't checked the temps for here yet, I'll have to go do that. DS doesn't have preschool this week (spring break) so I would love to get him outside to play, weather permitting.

yep good lesson but it's ok she will survive.

thanks....

Ok, now I want to see The Princess Bride again. It's been a long time. I have been known to quote things from movies and Seinfeld too.

I love Seinfeld, too. My family walks around giving other people nicknames like they did on Seinfeld. In fact, the other day here at my office, I called someone a Sidler. And we know a Close Talker, too.

Every time someone sneezes, I want to say "You are so good lookin'." I said that once to a friend, but I just got a blank stare, so I haven't tried it out on someone outside of the family since then.

And I have been known to sing the "Get Well" song once or twice. Get well, get well soon, we want you to get well...

Maybe we should all watch the Princess Bride tonight. :thumbsup2

I second that!

You speak Starbucks!!!!! I love Starbucks. When the baristas at a few stores start to know you, you go too often.

Uh oh. That doesn't bode well for me. They don't even ask me anymore, I just hand over my travel mug and they ring me up and take my card.

Slightly off topic, but do you guys tip at Starbucks? I'm waffling over that... I don't want to start any hot debates or anything, but I would like some opinions.

Happy Tuesday to everyone. The weather is crap here. Rainy and cool. Made my hair all frizzy just running from the car into 'Bucks and back. At least tomorrow is payday...

Just bummed she had to go through that.

I hope things turn positive for her. :thumbsup2

Okay, I find this totally amusing. Is that okay? :lmao:

We're actually supposed to have some good weather today. I read a high of 60, so that's promising. Maybe we will get outside after all. :thumbsup2

My son takes karate, so luckily I haven't had to deal with much sport-related drama. There are no teams or contests. Everyone is indivdual and competes against him- or herself. Sure is expensive, though! :scared1:

I've heard that's fantastic for discipline. How old is your son?

I find myself saying "not that there's anything wrong with that." I saw the close talker episode last week. :rotfl2: I had not watched any in a long time.

I was wondering how old your son is as well.

Looks like I've missed a great deal over the past couple of days. After being sick last week, I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. The only thing worse than the UTI was the medicine I had to take for it. It made me feel worse then the infection did. UGH.

We're out for spring break this week and I just mailed off my National Board portfolio. I'm glad to have that out of my hands. Hopefully this will be my last mailing of it--it's my second one. I failed the first time.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday and where ever you are, you are drier than we are here. Apparently, it's monsoon season. . .

creativeamanday, most antibiotics make me very sick so I know how crappy you can feel. Hope you are back to feeling normal soon. Hopefully your 2nd test will work out for you.

It's in the 50's and the sun is out. :) I was even able to hang my laundry outside for the 1st time this year.

:banana::banana:Hooray for being able to hang your clothes out! I love the smell of sheets from the clothes line! :laundy:

I'm at a starbucks posting on my iPhone. Electric is out at my house from a storm. So I'm killing time until it comes back. I change my order almost every visit so no one can guess what I want. Not even me. I hope my electric is back before idol.

:scared1: YIKES Don't want to miss Idol.

My son is 10 now. He started when he was 5, in their "Power Kids" program, but now he's into the real thing. It's great for discipline. The shihan doesn't take any messing around with those kids and they really respect him. And my son learned a long time ago that if he doesn't take it seriously and practice, then he won't advance. And as they get farther along, they're expected to help lead the classes (in fact, they have to get so many leader hours every 6 weeks, or they don't move up), and he's really taken a shining to that. My son, who refuses to do anything in front of the family because he gets embarassed, can lead a class full of kids. He takes it very seriously, too, correcting their form and showing them by example. I'm very proud of him.

Okay, didn't mean to ramble on for that long!

Happy Wednesday to everyone. Another rainy, foggy day here in Norfolk. Blah. It's supposed to get nice this weekend, and get into the 70s. We might have to make this weekend our first visit of the year to Busch Gardens.

Hello everyone. Looks like we're getting close to be a JUMBO thread. Feel free to create a new one when ready. :goodvibes

By the way ya'll -- 11 days 'til Vegas!!
