Smileybug, love the new Pooh! It's very seasonally festive! And as long as the Pooh in your signature has little hearts rising from beind it, I'm happy....:rolleyes1

I have more packing to do. I'll check in when I can!

ETA: Hmm, it would seem 6 graphics is the limit...I've got the "banana" text in the same spot as yesterday, where the "7" babnana should be!

Hey LegoMom. :goodvibes I know you must be really busy now. I guess having babnana issues isn't helping matters any.

The only trhing I have to say @ those grits (notice not capitalized) is ewwww! - like those kind of grits, just not so artery clogging in nature.

LEGOMOM: yay for 7 days! Are ya'll driving down I95? If so, you should stop through. I am only 15 min off of I95.

Kimmar: Nice to see yoy and your hilarious snarkiness this morning. Were you and GP separated at birth? LOL.

Hello everyone.

cheermom, I have to go with what Mean Queen and TarzansKat said. Good luck to you. I have plenty of bs in my family too.

Smiley, I love Gone With The Wind too. Love being a GRITS, interesting. Not a term I am familiar with. I have never eaten grits either. Not surprising since I am from the north.

Hey SadieDog. GRITS stands for "Girl raised in the South." :goodvibes

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

cheermom....I agree with Mean Queen and TK.
I'm afraid of the day I become a Mother-in-Law. :sad2:

TK...I hope your little man is over the yucky shot reaction. :goodvibes

To all of you...:grouphug: I hope you all have a magical day. :wizard:

Thanks so much! Actually, he seems to be in much better spirits today. I'm glad I took him to school, I think that helped. :thumbsup2

I can say what I want about my family, but you can't say the same thing.

That is so true!

God forbid I ever utter any disparaging comment about my MIL. No matter what her disregard for my, my son's, or my husband's feelings may be, if I say something about it, shoot, I'm wrong, and it is somehow justifiable.

Honestly? I feel sorry for my DH. He so wants to believe that there is good where there isn't, and although it makes him sort of willfully blind, it is a very admirable quality to constantly seek the good in people.

ETA: TK, I hope your little one is feeling better real soon.

Thank you! He seems to be doing much better.

...hey Smiley, here is the PERFECT Pooh for you...

PE1.gif

That is ADORABLE!!!! :goodvibes

TK sorry you are going thro that with your mil hugs

Thank you. I'm just starting to get used to it now. My blinders have come off in the past few years, and I'm just less inclined to put up with it.

I think that and hitting a certain birthday this year has me really questioning how much bs I should have in my life if it's not necessary.

7 more days!!

I am so excited for you!

Pack, woman, pack!!!!

And on a side note, is it wrong that I'd like to be an adoptive GRITS? Unfortunately, I'm a Yankee, but I do practice the art of nicing people at the bank....even when they're not so nice to me.... That has to count for something, right? :goodvibes

No, it's not wrong if that's the way you feel. I however am pleased to be a Yankee from New England. I don't know what state you are in but I'm guessing there is a good chance it's pretty different from living in Maine. I must say I'm pretty sick of temps in the 20's. Isn't it supposed to be spring?

LegoMom, did you hear on the news this morning that New Hampshire has the lowest crime rate? That is followed by #2 Vermont and Maine at #3. I know you are looking forward to moving away, but wanted to leave you with a positive thought. I hope you find your new area a dream come true for your family. :goodvibes

Surely, you must know I spend the majority of my days aboard the Black Pearl. ;)

No, seriously, there are parts of New England that I just love and wouldn't trade for anything. And memories that I've had here of my childhood and even of my son growing up are certainly something I'll treasure.

I just have a hard time with cold. Winter. Snow.

Yuck. But on days that I'm not working, it can actually be quite enjoyable! Seeing the joy in my son's eyes as he makes snowballs (to throw at me :lmao:) is just priceless. It's more like driving in the snow that is so yucky.

I would just absolutely love a warmer climate, but absolutely cannot convince my husband to move. And I know I'd miss my family too much. :goodvibes

Ah, I got the Girl and South part but couldn't figure out 'raised in the.'

I was born and raised here. When hubby and I were first engaged he had friends try to talk him out of marrying me. Their reason was once you marry a girl from the south, you never leave. Well...26 years later guess where he is still livin'. :rotfl:

I think that and hitting a certain birthday this year has me really questioning how much bs I should have in my life if it's not necessary.

That's exactly what it is. And you are figuring it out at a younger age than I did. GOOD FOR YOU!! :thumbsup2

You are an honorable GRIT. :wizard: From this day on you will forever be known as Miss TarzansKat. :goodvibes

....ohhhhhhh, I thought it meant "too much cellulite".....

:lmao::rotfl2:Ummmm it could, it could. All that good old fashioned country cookin'. :thumbsup2

...hey, look what I posted before - does that make me an "Honorable Grit"??

Gee, I feel just like the Queen Mum and the tag fairy all rolled into on bestowing all these tags.

You are an honorable GRIT. :wizard: From this day on you will forever be known as Miss kimmar (the great pooh hunter) :rotfl:

Do you have an accent? Mine isn't as pronounced as it used to be.

All of us GRITS might be enjoying the weather now but wait until July. We will all be complaining about it.

:thumbsup2 Black Pearl, of course! :rotfl2:

I get sick with high heat and humidity. I get dizzy and start to black out easily. Not fun. However, I am officially SICK of winter and tired of being cold. It was in the 20's for a long time today but in the 30's now. Still too cold for the end of March. I hate driving in snow/ice too. Too many car accident deaths in my family.

:rotfl2: I guess his friends were right.

I guess I do have some accent. At least people further south think I do. :rotfl2: However it's nothing like the fake Maine accent on TV. I try to be careful how I talk when I am around out of staters. I am more guarded. I say some words differently when I talk fast. For instance a few years ago my husband pointed out my response of "cuss not" Do you know what "cuss not" is? It's my quick version of "of course not" I think I would die of embarrassment if I responded with "cuss not" when I am out of state or when out of staters are visiting. I don't want to sound like an idiot. :lmao:

okay.... sorry to go off your conversation here.... but I just had to say somewhere, that I am dying over this new tag!!! I hadnt seen it up until now and since I am so unobservant, who knows how long its been there. Of all the things I have ever said... you tag fairy caught this one about my unknowing DH.... LOL!!!!:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:
thanks for the laugh!

I think that is cute. :goodvibes I keep trying to say it. But I think for me it is coming out to southern. :rotfl:
