Lucky! I've heard San Diego has some of the best weather in the country, though you pay for it through the nose to live there.

It gets 90 here by about 10 a.m. usually.

Most people equate the payment through another part of the body farther away from the nose!!

hehehehe

Hello everyone!

Hey Smileybug...I'm ready for fall too!!! It is my favorite holdiay!

Hey everyone!!

Just checking in quickly before I head off to finish the next thing on my list! I am suddenly finding myself shot from guns and SO many kinds of busy!!!

Soccer starts this week and first practice is tonight. When both boys are fully involved after vacation, we'll be out Monday-Thursday!! Friday night this week is the preliminary Cub Scout meeting. Very informal but still takes up valuable real estate on my planning calendar! :rotfl:

Saturday of course is our neighbor's big 40th birthday party, with me walking back and forth to make sure all the laundry gets done! Supposed to rain here Saturday, too (Hannah remnants) so all that walking may get quite damp....:headache:

Tomorrow I go to the bank and get all the fine details taken care of - $5's for Mousekeeping, what cash we want to carry, and see how much is in the loose-change jar! That teller is gonna love me....!

I am going to try to get up an installment on my PTR tonight, and then one final entry on Sunday. I just won't have time otherwise!

Hope everyone is doing well! I'll still be in here early mornings before I go to work.

I feel pretty much the same way SadieDog does. Short or fitted is okay as long as no cheeks or chest is exposed.

This would make a good sign. Maybe it should be posted on doors. :rotfl2:

I'm telling you, these shorts were about 6" worth of material from top to bottom. And if that's exaggerating, believe me, it's not by much. If I'd had a ruler handy I'd check...

I understand that fashion is what it is and that kids, especially girls need to be "IN" with what's going on, but it seems like a lot of it is very extreme as of late. (Wow. I feel oldish right now.) We saw another girl walking in front of us in the parking lot and the bottoms of her rear were exposed with every step she took.

And I don't mind snug, but some of this stuff is t-i-g-h-t.

Oh I have seen those shorts. There is hardly anything to them. I'm pleased to say my daughter does not want to wear anything with her butt cheeks hanging out. She likes short, but NOT cheek exposure short.

Hi LegoMom. Believe me, I understand how busy 2 kids in sports can be. It's field hockey and football season here. Middle School and high school sports take up a lot of time.

You don't actually give loose change to the bank teller do you? Or does your bank have a coin machine that counts the coins? My credit union does not. I have to roll the coins myself. I have heard that some banks have the coin counting machines that you can use for free. The ones in the grocery store charge you so many cents to each dollar.

I feel very forunate that my DD has never been into wearing the ultra short stuff either. Shorts, skirts and dresses have always been long enough to give her walking and bending room. KWIM I don't get some of these clothes or the parents that buy them. :confused3 And the other thing that I am totally confused about are the guys wearing their pants below their behinds with a belt to keep them there. How are they walking? :rotfl2: It has to be uncomfortable.

Hey moms. How have things been going for you? I do hope that everything is starting to settle down. :goodvibes

LegoMom...Keep telling yourself...deep breath...deep breath. I soooo can't believe that your trip is HERE!!

Yes, we have to give our tellers the loose change, be it in a jar or bag or what have you. They don't accept rolled coins anymore. They do have a counting machine, so they just dump it all in there. No fee involved.

Are you getting snarky with me???

No no....that would be the Purple Tag Fairy (see Mean Queen's tag...!).

Checking in before going to bed. I went out to dinner and a movie with my old college roommate. Poor thing lost her job recently and is pretty depressed. We did see a funny movie, "Tropic Thunder." I didn't expect it to be good, but it was. Though if you don't like profane and sometimes gross humor, this is not the movie for you. Very profane, very un-pc.

Hey Legomom! Only 3 days as of the morning.

Oh I want my credit union to get a counting machine with no fee. It sure would save me a lot of time.

Hmmmm, profane, gross humor and not pc. Sounds like a movie I would like.
