Oh ok. I could probably even do a mile one.... I could climb up but might be worried about the trip down if it was muddy and such. I am not the most gracefuly being the world has.

It was pretty muddy. I almost fell in the mud a few times.

We had sun most of the day.

Well, I have spent half of the day on the phone with the service technician at the dealership and Ford customer service. (Which, btw, is the most useless customer service department I've ever spoken to) I told them how I was frustrated that I was told to take home a car that they knew I claimed had been leaking water into it. The service department said they could "basically" get up the water with a shop vac (that is not good enough). I simply called Ford customer service to ask if a replacement of the seat would be given if it was damaged. Rather than give me a yes or no, they call the freaking service department at the dealership!

Now, typically, I am an easygoing person. But unfortunately, that just got the better of me! I drove 2 hours round trip to the dealership because they were supposed to call me back and they knew I was driving only to be told when I got there that I had to come back tomorrow. They had written down my number wrong. When I got there and was told that I had to continue to drive my car that is leaking, I asked to speak to the general manager. They should have known by then I was angry, especially when I told the salesman that while he was getting the GM, they might find an office because they did not want to have this conversation in the lobby of the dealership. Unfortunately for me, though, I truly believe you get more done by being nice and smiling, regardless of how angry you are. So that is what I did. And I got no where.

Now I understand different dealerships have their rules, but this dealership went out of their way NOT to help me. They could not give me a loaner because Enterprise had none. In the past, when I had a repair that needed to be done, my cousin would just let me drive a used car on the lot that had about 50,000 miles on it. If I had been a person driving down I-95 with no means of getting anywhere because I was miles from home, they would have been more helpful. Now, I have to drive a total of 4 hours tomorrow and go to work somewhere in the middle of all that. This is why I have so much driving--I have to go to work for a meeting, (30 min) drive to the dealership (1 hour), drive back to work (1 hour), drive back to the dealership (1 hour), and drive home (30 min) all to get my car fixed. Not to mention, the water is still leaking into the car right now! At what point is the customer right?

THis is the 4th car I have bought from this dealership, but I can assure you this will be the last. This is not the only problem I have had with them.

Good Hump-day morning! And guess what?!? Dh went out to look for Charlie this morning, got half-way down our driveway (which is almost a mile long), and he runs out of the woods to the truck! He's wet (it's raining), filthy, and has fleas, but he's home!!!!

I am documenting everything. Remember, I'm a special education teacher. Last week, I just got a letter of apology from Ford Credit about the payoff on the Explorer. Now I have this mess to deal with.

I will continue with being as nice as possible. I still think being nice is the best position for me. But if I am not happy tomorrow afternoon, I'll be writing a few letters.

I'm also in the be nice camp. It's not always the fault of the person you are dealing with. Though dealing with Disney so much, I've gotten spoiled as to what true customer service is.

That is such a cute face! What was the name of the beagle from Fox and the Hound? Was it Todd or Copper? I'd vote for some Disney related name. (Says the owner of cats Minnie and Goofy.)

For some reason my Internet connection is cutting out on me in the evenings, so I come in in the morning and see all the chat I missed! Rats. I don't know what's up with it but it's getting irritating.

Today is my "Friday" for work! Wahoo!! Tomorrow I'm setting aside to get my butt in gear and start organizing for our homeschool year. I don't want to come home from vacation completely unprepared. We're going to start with a unit on Epcot! I have to book to order for it and everything.

Well I'm off to get ready for work. Hope you all have a great day!

Good luck getting organized. I have to buy the last of my DD's school supplies. There's no way in the world I could homeschool that child without going completely insane. She starts a brand new start-up charter school on Tuesday. I really hope this place is a good fit for her.
