A few people visiting Disney this week may not be happy with me. Tomorrow we're supposed to get a big cold front and later this week record lows! After weeks of record high temps. Crazy!
Good Morning.
My mother is near Tampa visiting her sister. Her sister picked her up in Orlando when we were there. I think she said it was going to be low to mid 70's. Is that the same for you?
Attn: American Idol Fans, Michael Johns sang the National Anthem yesterday before the race. It was great. I forgot how much I like his voice.
GOOD MORNING YA'LL
How are ya'll? I feel like it has been forever. I have had a bad episode with my Fibromyalgia. But I'm back now.
Smiley we've missed you! Hope you're feeling a lot better.![]()
We had a really nice day yesterday. I realized out there how much I miss hiking. Two out of three kids seemed to enjoy it. The almost-12 yr. old pre-teen spent most of the time complaining over one thing or another that had zero to do with actually being out in the woods!! I've finally realized lately that that just isn't who he is. He talks about living in the city when he grows up, staying a bachelor and having 5 or 6 cats! When we get to Florida I'll take him down to Miami one day and show him what a really big city is really like!!
Anywho, here are a few pics for those who'd like to see them!

We are well past-peak but there's still some good color. After the hike we took my dad over to see the pumpkin launch thing, which was getting ready to go just as we arrived. You haven't lived until you've seen a 20-lb. pumpkin tossed 2000 feet, I'll tell ya....![]()

Those are beautiful pictures. I'm not so sure Miami is a great model for a big city, are you trying to scare him?I'd start smaller, like Orlando, Jacksonville, or Tampa.
YES!!!!

I bet you can fulfill his city dreams in a much smaller place, like Ocala. I'm going to guess just about anywhere is more "city-like" than where you are.
Ok, I have to share a cute kid story. My DD2 just came in whining that she has hiccups. I asked if she wanted me to scare her to make them go away. I said "Boo, are they gone?" She said "No, they're still there. See!" And opens up her mouth really wide. I asked if she was sure they were still there, so she opened up her mouth again to prove to me that the hiccups were still in there. (Though she was no longer hiccuping.) It is so hard to take a kid seriously during something like that. But she was dead serious.
Too cute. I miss little ones. You wouldn't want me to share some of the things that come out of my teens mouths.![]()
I'm sure I wouldn't. I hear teens talking and sometimes I think I've stepped onto a pirate ship with all that sailor talk. Or just ran into my DH during a bad sports game.
I plan to enjoy these times now because I fear the teen years.
