I'm French Canadian from both sides. My Mothers Dad moved to Maine from Canada as a teen. I think all my other grandparents were born here but their parents left Canada to move here.

I actually went back to bed for a bit and felt worse when I got up.

Go figure. I need to take some pictures of some outfits we got for baby boy and post them. They're soooo cute. I had totally forgotton how tiny baby clothes are, isn't that silly? Well...it's been five years, I guess. :lmao: So cute! :thumbsup2

keeping up the heritage thing...

i'm everything. i'm almost sure of it. my dad doesn't know all of what he is because his mom only knew of 16 that she was sure of. So. that means little Becca is just 'mixed'.

i can say i have norway in there a lot, that's mainly what my mom is so i usually just claim that. but there is a lot more lol :goodvibes

"Eww!" on the dentist, "Aww!" on the K reg.! Hang on to your butt cuz the next thing you know, he'll be going off to college....:rotfl: (j/k!) No, really, it does seem to go faster the older they get.

Spring break week here in TX so I'm using that as my opportunity to do some major spring cleaning around my house and yard. We've also got a college work crew here at the camp for the week so DH is going to be out straight until Friday!!

Here's to a great week for all the Babnanas!:thumbsup2

I was just looking at your ticker. I can't believe how quickly your trip is coming up! Before you know it, it'll be here.

I also found out that typically children from our neighborhood go to PM kindergarten. Which is kind of a pain in the you know what. If I go back to work, I'll have to find child care for 2-3 days a week for my DS, and possibly for the baby as well. Right now, I'm not even going to worry about it. We won't know for sure what we have until May or June, and I plan on taking a 16 week FMLA leave, so that'll give me plenty of time to see how everything works with the kiddos.

Yes. The dentist. Yuck. But I figure, better to get it over with now before I'm even bigger. I'm pretty sure it's going to be uncomfortable, but probably not as much as it would be if I were at the end. :lmao:

You go on the cleaning. I sort of came to a cleaning standstill, but now that we know we're having a boy, I need to go through DS' old baby clothes and weed out for the new bean. Dreading and looking forward to that all at the same time.

I know!!....I just noticed yesterday that it was now under 2 months! And I tell ya, time does FLY around here. I don't know why, but ever since we moved here, one week runs into the next, and before I know it, another month has come and gone. Like March -- how is it the 15th already??! (oh, that reminds me: "Beware the ides of March!":lmao:)

Anyway, good luck at the dentist. I am so overdue it's not funny. I need to put the dental option onto our health insurance; it's only $80/month for the family so I'd be willing to cover that myself if needed. Dentists are expensive!!!:headache:

....I can vouch for that...

YUCK Dentist. I am long overdue too, but it's so expensive, I can't go often. I do not have dental insurance so it's pretty expensive.

Once kids hit High School, time flies. My son is a freshman and he mentioned yesterday how fast this year is going.

Es tu, Brutus? :lmao:

I can't wait for St Patty's day! Time to bust out the crock pat and make my corned beef. Yum, yum.

I know what you mean. I find, in general, that my weeks run together, and time goes by so quickly.

I am very lucky, our dental insurance is not terribly expensive, and it more than makes up for the cost of going. It'll be even more cost effective once I have another kiddo going, because cost doesn't go up, once you're a family, you're family pricing no matter how many kids you have.

So DS and I made pumpkin pie today (at his request) and I used organic pumpkin. I was so bummed they didn't have One Pie brand, which is what we always use, they were out at the grocery store, and this pie definitely looks different. I hope it tastes as good.

I've moved on now to making spinach balls, just waiting for the spinach to cool before I get started on those. Yum, yum.

When I get motivated to bake, I like to bake. :thumbsup2

Guys, I have a plea for help, if I may.

DH and I cannot agree at all on boys names for the bean. Our five year old has an Italian first name, Irish middle name, and we trend to liking more unusual names.

Although I am rather partial to Jack, as you all know. ;)

The one Italian name that I like, DH doesn't, and I'm about at my wits end trying to find something we can agree upon.

So I'm open to suggestions, if you're willing to share your favorite boy's names. It doesn't have to be any particular ethnicity, I'm just so sick of looking through baby books and online sites and thought maybe I'd ask my DIS friends.

Thanks in advance.

....never tried cookin' it in the crock pot, but then, there wouldn't be enough room for it in mine....:confused3

Today was the ides of March--yesterday pi day. I tried to convince dh (the math teacher) to make me a pie for pi day. He didn't get on board.

I just use the seasoning packet that comes with it and it comes out great. I do have to buy a smaller cut of meat though, because otherwise it just wouldn't fit, but we're only three people, so it works.

That's too funny considering that we almost made our pumpkin pie yesterday. :lmao:

I'm afraid I won't be of much help as I don't like many boy names. To make me even more useless to you - You like unusual names and for boy names I tend to like plain common ones. You are talking to someone who named their son Matthew, plain old Matt for short.

For Irish names I like Brady (spirited), Ryan (little king) and Thomas. My brothers name is Tom so I thought if I had another son, he would have been named after him. I am done having kids though. I also like Jack. ;) Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Oh and I like One Pie canned pumpkin too.

My mother is 100% German(born & raised). My dad is Scottish/Irish, Welsh, English.
