I was going to make the same suggestions as kimmar.
I really do like the name Will..so it's a win-win!
It should come as no surprise to you all that I love the name Jack.
Jack Sparrow, Jack Skellington, how can you go wrong?
That being said, my five year old son has a rather unusual, rather beautiful Italian name, and that's sort of our tradition. Not necessarily the Italian part, but just unusual. We are not really traditional people.
Right now, DH and I are basically duking it out over the Italian name that I like for this baby. It's not that he doesn't like it, he feels it sounds like a nickname. It is an abbreviation of a longer name, but I really feel you should name a child what you're going to call them. Also, I just feel in my gut that this baby is that name. I don't know how to explain it, it's like when I knew what we were going to name my first son, I just knew it. Fortunately, at that time, DH agreed with me.
I should probably add DH is 100% Italian. His parents were born in Italy. I'm 3/4 Italian, 1/4 Irish. So when we look at names, we sort of focus on those ethnicities, but aren't necessarily married to them.
That's about as much as I can say without divulging actual names, which, I don't do on the DIS. However, if we become more settled on a name, I'm sure I could slip some hints.
