TK--I'm glad you feel good about what happened with the condo.
I've had a rough week--again. Last week a good friend of mine passed away. This week one of dh's former students was killed in a single car accident. He was 24.
With everything happening at work this week and last with our former superintendent (he sent in his resignation Tuesday), losing Billie Jo, and now the loss of Josh, I can honestly say I'm coming close to the cracking point this week.
To top it off, I was informed this afternoon that I will have a new student next week. Although I typically get excited about new students, this one particularly upsets me. Social Services had to move him from a residential facility to a foster family because he attempted to stab a student in the facility last week. IMO, disability or no, he does not need to be in a school. My prinicipal does not know about him yet. He will probably refuse entry to his school and require the district to do homebased services. I hope so.
TK, sleep well now that the condo stress is gone.![]()
Thanks. I'm thinking a few more minutes here and then off to bed for me.![]()
I'm off to bed too. Yup, 8:30 on a Friday night and I am going to bed to watch TV.
Proof positive, it's not more money the kids need or better buildings.
It's teachers who care.
Good news, though. The school district where my kids go to in South Carolina is the ONLY district in the state where ALL schools met Annual Yearly Progress!!!! This district is deep in the "Corridor of Shame".

Hey, folks! Hope you all had a good Friday.
Well, I've got a little spring in my step today because I know I can sleep tonight and not worry over this condo thing anymore! We did not get the condo, they took the other offer. Honestly, I'm not even sad. It was lovely, but obviously not meant to be and I am so glad it is over....
My daughter's 5th grade math teacher is on maternity leave. The district could not find a certified teacher to fill in for her. So all of the certified middle school math teachers in the school district are taking turns giving up their planning period for no compensation and teaching the math class....

That's great they are willing to do that.....
....REALLY great.....I know that many of my colleagues would NOT do that...![]()
Good morning, babnanas!
Happy Saturday!
