Membership Magic Beyond-2026?

It must be a legal issue, right? I mean Disney would never purposely exclude international members. Its probably beyond their control.
It's laziness. The same reason international owners are excluded from all sweepstakes, even from countries where they are legally allowed to sell contracts directly (Canada and UK). They should check if the rules of the promotion/sweepstake comply with local regulations. While it might not be worth it for a sweepstake, if MMB becomes a big part of the perks system (IMHO this was a first year to test the waters) they must take the extra effort.
I don't believe it's possible to sell a timeshare contract somewhere and yet you cannot sell a discounted OTU point (while being able to sell it full price).

Ok but why do you want it discontinued if it’s not offered to you? I would like some of the great ticket and hotel discounts, vouchers etc that are often offered to our international friends but I wouldn’t want them to be discontinued just because they aren’t offered to me.

Because one of the perks, access to a lounge, now has an advantage for MMB purchasers. I wasn't able to access the MK lounge during my last stay. I'm not sure the line would have been shorter without the MMB advantage, but it's possible.
Also, other perks that they might offer to everyone, might instead be locked behind the paywall in the future, making them inaccessible to some.
It should be for everyone or for no one.

If it is increased, I worry the regular price offer for one time use points will also increase.
If they increase the price of one time use points, then the price that they pay people who purchase contracts and take magical beginnings will also be increased so I don’t see that happening.

I wouldn’t worry about their sweepstakes. I don’t think anyone is actually winning those. Lol. It would annoy me too if I were international, but Disney does all kinds of “unfair” promotions all the time that annoy me too. I think your average American based guest who isn’t a Florida resident gets the shaft on perks more than international guests.

If it makes you feel any better I was turned away at MK too and I am one of the privileged MMB … it was one of the first days the lounge was open so I didn’t make it an issue but I would bet that not everyone ‘ahead’ of me on the waitlist was MMB … just don’t agree with the ‘if I can’t have it neither can you’ take … as said above I don’t particularly care for international travelers to get discounts I’m not privy to but I don’t believe Disney should eliminate them just because I can’t have them

They don't do it because they don't want to keep track of each jurisdiction's (changing) laws. They could hire people with international law expertise to do it for them, but they don't. You can call that laziness, or you can call it a business decision---it probably depends on which side of the line you live.

Sure and I still can hope they wouldn't do it. 🙂

They could make it work for Lightning Lane purchases after an initial period during which it wasn't offered to international visitors. I wonder whether there is something particularly problematic about MMBY, or if they just don't care because the lost revenue is lower.

I am curious how much of MMB purchased in 2025 will carry over to 2026.

Will our Memory Maker credit expire Dec 31 2025? I’m guessing lounge access will definitely expire on the date?

...but you made the purchase during the 2025 program year. I don't think you'd be able to e.g. do that after 12/31/25 for a stay in 2026, even if it was part of your 2025 UY, without buying MMB again.

We just purchased BOGO OTUP for next April, which is in our Sept 2025 UY.

The listed expiration of those points is Aug 31st, 2026.

I’m pretty sure once Jan 1st rolls around, MMB 2025 will no longer work for buying BOGO OTUP and you’d need to get MMB 2026, regardless of the dates being booked or the UY.

Yes I agree as it stated MMB would end on 12/31/25. I guess the question is will they start MMB 2026 on 1/1 or wait a few weeks like this year.
