Good morning, guys!

I have no word yet and I had a complete and utter breakdown over it last night. Between pregnancy hormones and all the stress, a good cry was what I really needed. I was able to sort of sleep last night.

The latest is that both buyers (there are two of us as far as I know) were given the opportunity to present their best offer, and now the seller is taking some time to decide. I'm now "supposed" to hear something this morning.

We'll see. :rolleyes1

LegoMom, I hope the school works out.

TarzansKat, anxiously waiting to hear the news.

Hi guys! How's everyone? Just checking in before I head out. Just finished school and I'm going outside to finish up my chicken coop!

Did you get your chicken coop finished?

So here's my update.

I have no answer.

I called my realtor today, and this is what the other realtor told her. The seller is out of town, so he won't be able to present the offers until Friday morning.

Um, what happened to knowing yesterday or the day before? I really feel like this other realtor (not mine, she seems to be on top of things now) is messing around. I mean, I believe the seller is out of town on business, but why couldn't he have just said that in the first place. It's getting borderline ridiculous.

I told my realtor, look, I need an answer by Friday evening. I said, if this is not going to work out for me, I have lost all this time that I could have been looking at other places (they don't know I'm interested in taking a break from it, so I don't mind pulling that card) and it's not fair.

I mean, how hard can it be? You have two offers, you pick one. For pete's sake. :lmao:

TarzansKat, that's frustrating. Try to relax.

Just about! DH has to put the tin on the last part of the roof, and it's done. Tomorrow I'm getting everything I need to finish setting it up (shavings, hay, feed, etc.).

:rotfl2:

That's really carpy about the other realtor.....I wouldn't be happy either! Games, games, games....:headache:

Thank you, hon.

Perhaps I should practice my labor breathing now, it can be quite meditative. :lmao:

You know, I think what bothers me is that I've worked in retail/sales for the majority of my young adult / adult life, and I have never, ever employed those tactics.

I hate sleazy sales, I hate feeling used, and I would never make one of my customers feel that way. I also will not sell something to someone who does not need it. I offer, but I do not push, and I do not play games.

I expect to be treated the same, unfortuantely the world does not operate on the TK system of integrity.

I don't mean to sound high and mighty, that's not it at all. It's just frustrating that when you put out a lot of good, occasionally you do get something like this back, and you think, ugh.

Well I am in the process of making arrangements to get my first "flock" of chickens!!:yay: I'm so excited! There's a rooster and two hens, about 6 months old and the hens are just starting to lay. Can't wait for farm-fresh eggs. These are Light Brahmas, and look like this guy:

I will take some pics when they're here and settled into their new coop.

...what a beauty....:thumbsup2 ...my Br-in-L had a gorgeous Rhode Island red - her name was 'Clucky'....

In our area, the local school method tends to be racially & financially unbalanced. To try to integrate more, they created "magnet" schools in the poorer neighborhoods. Some of these schools focus on the arts, math, science, or gifted. It's a big convoluted mess. But I really don't like the school we are zoned for, so we have to find a magnet. I have no clue why they can't just make all the schools good so kids can go to their neighborhood school with other kids who live near them. But this area has yet to figure that out.

....teachers here in NJ are against this [magnet schools] for that exact reason...:sad2:

Slow around here. I hope all is well.

Hey, folks! Hope you all had a good Friday.

Well, I've got a little spring in my step today because I know I can sleep tonight and not worry over this condo thing anymore! We did not get the condo, they took the other offer. Honestly, I'm not even sad. It was lovely, but obviously not meant to be and I am so glad it is over so I can focus on my Disney trip and getting my apartment streamlined for before the new kiddo comes. :thumbsup2

TK - I'm glad the stress is over. Home buying really is stressful so it's probably a good idea to not do too much while pregnant and hormonal.

You said it! My DH is also totally done with looking right now, so I am happy to take the break.

TK--I'm glad you feel good about what happened with the condo.

I've had a rough week--again. Last week a good friend of mine passed away. This week one of dh's former students was killed in a single car accident. He was 24.

With everything happening at work this week and last with our former superintendent (he sent in his resignation Tuesday), losing Billie Jo, and now the loss of Josh, I can honestly say I'm coming close to the cracking point this week.

To top it off, I was informed this afternoon that I will have a new student next week. Although I typically get excited about new students, this one particularly upsets me. Social Services had to move him from a residential facility to a foster family because he attempted to stab a student in the facility last week. IMO, disability or no, he does not need to be in a school. My prinicipal does not know about him yet. He will probably refuse entry to his school and require the district to do homebased services. I hope so.

I don't know what to say, hon, except you need a big :grouphug:
