You know, my family is always laughing at me. :goodvibes

I hope you have a great day as well. And now I'm really off. :)

It's good to be the family entertainment.

My DH wasn't banned from E-bay, but I wish he was. Hey, I bought a My Pal Mickey from e-bay a few years back. He worked great in the park. I know they stopped selling him in the parks, but does anyone know if they still work in the parks?

Hey TK... it's getting close. ANY day now! How've you been feeling? Probably much better since you stopped working. How close were you to your due date with your DS?

As far as I know, they still work.

In all honesty, I'm totally shot. It's a good thing I'm not working right now, because I wouldn't have been able to handle it given the complete lack of sleep I'm getting right now.

My DS was actually one week early, so fingers crossed! :lmao:

What do you mean by My Pal Mickey working in the park? What did it do?

TK, hope you can get some rest.

Howdy LegoMom!!!! You have been on my mind this morning. What is going on in your world?

SadieDog....I am sorry to hear about your computer. Its a pain when they break down.

TK....When do you go back to the doctor?

daisyyy....Hey :flower3: Your post always make me smile. And I always seem to want to read them fast. :confused3 :rotfl:

Hey, LegoMom!

Thanks, Sadie.

Smiley, why do you ask? Are you trying to get rid of me??? :lmao:

I go back this Friday. I have a non stress test at the hospital tomorrow, and then another on Friday at my doctor's which also includes my "regular" appointment and the ever so delightful internal exam.

We're actually discussing the possibility of inducing me the week of the 31st if the baby doesn't make his appearance by then. I have to orchestrate child care for DS, and getting all the appropriate family members and my doctor's office on the same page has been a little bit challenging. I'm waiting to hear back from the doc, hopefully it'll all work out. :goodvibes

I'm just getting excited for you. Besides I know we can't get rid of you that easy. :goodvibes So......is Tink going to be our up to the minute reporter when the big day comes?

Are you still thinking about introducing little man #2 to the mouse in a few months?

Baby #4 was induced 2 weeks early for me. For several reasons. But I was so glad. And she was my easiest birth. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

......

Crazy busy. It's summer camp season! I actually don't clean as much, oddly enough (we're busier, but we also have more help)....but there's just always something going on and I'm trying to keep up with my own home and family as well.

This week my younger two are at camp (elsewhere). Since DS13 is so independent, I'm finding myself with some free time. Gosh I miss 'em though!! Can't wait for Friday when we pick them up. They were both excited to go so I'm hoping they're having a great week.

How are you doing?

.

Aw, thank you for getting excited for me, that's really sweet! Tink will definitely be keeping you all posted. She's on my call list for when I head into the hospital. :thumbsup2

Are you still thinking about introducing little man #2 to the mouse in a few months?

I won't lie, the thought has not left my mind. It just depends on what kind of a kiddo he is. I've seriously considered doing a very short family trip for us.

Baby #4 was induced 2 weeks early for me. For several reasons. But I was so glad. And she was my easiest birth. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Oh, thank you for telling me that. Hearing it makes me breathe a sigh of relief, really. I was meant to be induced with my last, but he ended up arriving two days before that anyway.

And it's possible this one could do the same, which would be fine. Part of me felt badly, like we're kicking him out (LOL) but part of me would just like to get this over with, thank you very much.

And I actually had a great experience with my first, so I'm hoping this one will be similar...I've also heard that second children can come a little bit faster, so that would be just peachy. :thumbsup2

He was the Mickey stuffed animal thing that came on a lanyard, but he was interactive, it would know where you are in the park and would vibrate on certain attractions, or while you were walking down Main Street, and would give you trivia, or tell you little jokes, and play multiple choice games while you're waiting on line. It still works at home, (only the games and stuff of course).. I think they sold them in the parks for a few years about 75 bucks, which I couldn't see paying that much for a stuffed animal, that after a few days no one wanted to carry... so I found one on e-bay and it was maybe 25 bucks w shipping. COOL:thumbsup2 . I'm all about the bargain... But I don't want to bring him again on the next trip if he doesn't interact anymore. I suppose he was sort of like an early version of the new applications that you can get on your phones that tell you where characters are and wait times.

Son #1 = 26....hours...of....labor.:headache:

Son #2 = 2 hours of labor.....

Son #3 = 50 minutes of "labor"!!!

So, just sayin'......:rolleyes1

We have one (that we also bought on eBay some years ago)......Does he not work in the parks anymore?

Sad, if that's true!

YOu have been talkative while I was at work. We have a new principal. She's great, but things are just different.

I had a similar experience.

Sweetie--8 hours after planned induction
Stinky--the doctor almost did not make it there--I was told to push and then stop
Boo--I threatened the doctor not to leave--15 minutes labor.

Aww. :grouphug: Thanks.... I'm so glad I found this thread... I look forward to reading it everyday too. I feel like you gals are BFF's (as my DD's would say, ).... You guys get it. It's always interesting, and quite amusing.. even when there's nothing going on.

TK... I remember those last few weeks, and being anxious and most of me wanted it over, but another part kept thinking, this is special, so don't end too soon.. You know just like a trip to Disney, you can't wait for it to start, but don't want it to be over. Most of the time though, if someone asked me when I was due, my answer was always.... "Not soon enough" .. Or, my other favorite was... Is this your first child.. "No... my LAST, I'm not doing this again"... :rotfl2: But... I've got 4 now.. and I think I started saying that with #2. ( But.. you forget, and everytime I see a newborn, I get that urge... Maybe if I started younger, I'm 42, and DH is 44.. ... I'm done now. I'm at my limit.) But.. I'm looking forward to hearing about your little guy and all the milestones.... You know, if you're thinking about bringing baby to the park when he's 3 months... that's probably a good time... they are soooo easy at that point, as long as they aren't colicky... they sleep through anything, formula is easy, they don't try to get down out of the stroller and run off yet. you'll have more energy by then too. Oh.. and they're still in diapers, so it's easy with that too. Speaking of.... my DS is done with potty training... he was sooooo easy, I don't even think we went through a whole pack of pull ups... he just started and knew what he had to do. He's been wearing underwear all day for the last week now!! ( with the exception of diapers over night...he's had no accidents!..:thumbsup2) Knock on wood! I think the fact that the pull ups had toy story on them, and I told him he didn't want Buzz's space ship to disappear helped too. I'm excited. He's gonna be 3 in January, so I wasn't thinking he would be trained just yet. I am worried about our trip in Sept though, cause if we're out of our routine, I hope he doesn't have accidents, diapers would have been easier. :confused3

I remember the name "My Pal Mickey" but I didn't know what he did. That's pretty cool. I don't even have a cell phone so I didn't know there was something that could tell you were the characters were located or wait times. What will they come up with next?

Agreed!

DD#1. 14 hrs labor nice, epidural, no problem, what's the big deal?:hippie:
DD#2. 2 hrs labor... missed window of opportunity for epidural.:scared1:
DS#1. 1 hr labor.... made it to hospital and had to push.:headache:
DS#4. 1 1/2 hr labor... begged for the epidural.. got it, but it was too late. I still felt everything. but worth every second;) Not trying to scare ya though... chances are, it will go faster.

daisyyy, That's fantastic about the easy potty training. I melt when I see a newborn too. I love taking care of babies. I never thought I would only have 2. I agree that traveling with a 2-3 month old is on the easy side. Easier than when they are on the move. I didn't use formular so I always had a fresh supply of milk. :lmao:
