Only in NJ, there si something about it being against the law to pump your own gas there, don't know the details since I don't actually live there, but all gas stations are full service.

Question, it may seem silly but I just noticed that the time on my posts is off by about 30 minutes anyone know why?

Ok, here are a few before-and-after pictures of our place. I'll put them in three separate posts so I don't clog up one entry (and get that nice error message)...

This is our living room BEFORE!...

And our living room NOW!!

And here is our dining room, looking into the kitchen, BEFORE!...

And NOW!

(You can see the missing baseboard and crown molding - that's all that's left!!)

Finally, here is the big gaping hole where we took out the old front door and old double-hung windows...

And the new entry with the big French-style doors and NEW porch! The old porch was 5-ft. deep and 20-ft. long - the new one is twice as deep and the whole thing is insulated so can really be used year-round except on the coldest days.

When it ever stops raining I'll get a couple of outside shots, too, since I've got some "before" pics of that, too!

Yeah in NJ you don't pump your own gas. I actually think that's really good, my mom loves it especially. Haha. But the only REALLY nice self-service gas station I saw was the Hess one I think it is at DVC it had gloves for my dad to use and had music playing. It was nice :)

And my posts have always been off..I don't know why either.

I'm glad to hear the new school seems like it will work out for you. :dance3: I was thinking of you last night as they kicked my butt in my tap class. They were taking us through single, double, and triple time steps. I hate time steps. :headache: I can't wait to hear how your ballet classes, especially pointe, goes.

Yep! I'm having loads of fun. It's going to be a great year I can just tell. The time-steps were a little hard at first but I guess I catch on quickly but if you asked me to do them right now I wouldn't know how to start. Haha. ;) I'll let you know about how Ballet and Modern goes tomorrow. Then my other ballet and pointe on Thursday. :teeth:

Sounds like this will be a wonderful experience for you. I'm glad they are paying attention to your need to be further challenged in some areas. :thumbsup2

It is, it's going to be fantastic. This studio is MUCH more foccused on the dance aspect. My old one was constantly reminding about not paying on time, etc. etc. This one, if you're there for your ballet class say from 5:30-6:30 then you have a tap class at 7:30-8:30 you can go to the ballet class in between the two for free for extra work. It's great :) And yeah. My friend and I didn't want to just learn easy stuff, so we're ready to try out for the next level!

Just popping in to say hello. So, hello!!

 The first time I read that I thought it said "Just Pooping in" wow. I need to get my head out of the gutter.

Subbing isn't bad at all, but not the same as the full-time job I want and need! I would definitely look into it when she is old enough, gets you some pretty easy money (for the most part) and you can meet some really great people. I haven't decided what training to do yet, I am going to go on the website soon and see what there is, I am so bad at calling people, I hate it! So I might try looking into that. I also have my first party in a while on Friday, for DBF's niece!! A little nervous because I haven't done one in over a month and all the new products, plus it is a little strange when people you know are there. The guest specials still vary, sometimes they still offer the spend $60 and get such and such free, they did that in June but since then it has been discounts on products. When is your show?

My next show is Sept. 22nd. It's for a friend of mine. I actually prefer doing shows for friends than strangers. I feel more free to be myself and not be a "salesperson." I had checked the guest specials for the next few months and all are a discount, rather than free.

I got an offer today from my old job to come back. I don't know if I want to go back full time yet. But I really did like that job. Ugh.

Wow LegoMom! That was a lot of work. It looks so much better. When are you guys coming to FL? Are you going to spend another Winter up North or do you get to experience a FL Winter?

Wow Legomom ya'll did an outstanding job on your home!! with all of that work are you going to miss it? There is a part of me that doesn't want to leave this one. And it's because of all the work that hubby and I have done together. Kinda feels like our heart and soul is in this house. know what I mean jelly bean?

You're welcome :)
Did you buy the house and then remodel it or was that your house that you've owned for a while and just redid it?

We've been here almost 5 years. The house was built in '77 and never remodeled, so that's what we moved into! It was exactly what we'd been wanting - something solid and in good shape but just dated on the inside.

LegoMom...Y'all did a great job on your house!

Thank you very much!:flower3:

That all depends on how fast she sells! I'm REALLY hoping to get out before winter, but realize that may not happen, so I'm trying to prepare myself mentally to deal with temps below 50!:scared:

Yeah, we'll miss it - it was our first home and we did put a lot of work into it!! I love the house, and if I could pick it up and move it with me, I would.

LegoMom - love your house pics. The paneling in the before picture cracks me up! You guys did a great job. I love the pink/mauve color in your living room. Seems like it would be a very calming color. Thanks so much for posting those!

I agree. The best we can get around here is Pay at the Pump.:sad2:

Pay at the pump is the way we go around here to. I don't know about other areas of the country but you have to prepay before pumping now. :sad2: But actually I have it pretty good. When I need gas I just tell hubby and he takes the Yukon and fills her up!!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes I'm spoiled.:)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!! It's going to be rainy here. I love rainy days! I find them to be strangely comforting. Especially when a little thunder and lightening is thrown in.:goodvibes
