I've decided this is the "Seinfeld" thread!!We are a bunch of friends who like to hang out together but have absolutely nothing to really talk about except ourselves!!!
(specifically, our taglessness)
But have faith. You never know it might happen. You just have to hang in there with us. We can be as witty as any other thread.(sometimes, if we try really hard.
)
It's thundering BIG time here right now!The kids just went to bed but you know they're not sleeping!! We need some rain though so I hope it's not just a lot of noise and no results. No, wait!...I hear rain now! Good. Wow, now it's pouring!!
Before the sun went down I was on the deck watching the sky get real dark, and the weird thing was, the wind was whipping around down here but the clouds were not moving one bit. Ooky...
Just glad we didn't get one of these!![]()
I love thunderstorms!!We had one about 6:00pm. Do you live near the coast?
You should live down here. The Tampa Bay area/Central Florida is the lightning capital of the U.S.. We have some crazy storms. They come and go quick (unless it's part of a hurricane.) It can be raining on one side of the street and not the other.
what is this labor day![]()

anyways no three day weekend for us irish D:
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
The First Labor Day
The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. The Central Labor Union held its second Labor Day holiday just a year later, on September 5, 1883.
In 1884 the first Monday in September was selected as the holiday, as originally proposed, and the Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and celebrate a "workingmen's holiday" on that date. The idea spread with the growth of labor organizations, and in 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in many industrial centers of the country.
Morning all! I'm looking forward to our 3 day weekend. We're heading to WDW for a quick trip on Sunday. We're staying in a new 1-bedroom at the Animal Kingdom Villas. I'll have to take lots of pictures to show off the "new" resort. We plan to go to Epcot one day to finally see our "Leave a Legacy" photos on the big wall.
