happy thursday ladies!
I've just come in from some big shopping I bought some of my christmas shopping and I got my best friend her birthday present (my aunt helped me get her some benefit makeup)
I also had another gingerbread latte (oh why can't we have these all year round !)

My DS11 just got home from school, about 15 minutes early. They had their 2nd bomb threat in 2 days....

Your first reaction, as a parent, is panic. Then on the other hand, you figure it's middle school, so it's probably some poor soul who thinks it's funny to cause such a ruckus.

Tomorrow being Friday, I have half a mind to just keep him home for the day. I just tried to access the school's web site but can't get in (Gee, ya think!?!).

My DH had already left for work so doesn't know about this yet. HE may be the one who throws a fit! If my MIL finds out, it's all over....

You think your kids ought to be relatively safe at school. I remember the days when all you had to worry about was the school bully taking your lunch money. Since when should I have to fear for his very life????

Yum! I had a new one today, recommended by the barista... chai eggnog latte. I got it iced of course, since it's still high 70's here. It was yummy, but sweeter than I expected. It'd be great as a frappucino. I may try a chai gingerbread latte next. My current Starbucks habit is about 4 a week. I know I need to cut down, but like you said, those special flavors are only here for a limited time!

That's how I feel about Edy's (akaryers) ice creams. I saw a Peppermint and Egg nog container this week. I swear I could feel my hips widening already. I love the seasonal yummies too.

I missed Shrek the Halls, maybe some one thew it on youtube? probably not. I hope they air it again.

Oh, I swear, I'm gonna gain weight just by reading this thread, the way y'all are going on and on about lattes and frappacinos!!!!!! As if all the talk of food at my work isn't bad enough, I come home for a little DIS time and it's yet more food!

But hey!.....we're getting our first snowstorm on Sunday night and Monday!! Woot-woot!....... NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! My DS11 is totally psyched, of course, being the snowboarder in the family, but Mom would just as soon pack it up and head to Florida NOW.

Dale City, Virginia is about 35 miles south of Washington, DC. If you are familiar with Virginia and have been (or know where) Potomac Mills Mall is - I'm about 15 minutes from the Mall.

I had myself a nice bowl of Edy's Peppermint ice cream last night. I get the light so it's not too bad. And I'm getting the nonfat lattes now, because I don't even want to think of the calories I was getting in the regular.

DH is getting back today from a business trip to Iowa. He says he appreciates Florida weather much more now. He said blazing heat he can deal with, but freezing cold just hurts to your bone. I told him as a natural born Florida boy, cold is not something his body can handle for long.

I'm planning on doing some cleaning around here and helping DH put Christmas lights outside tomorrow. Sunday my Red Hat group is suppose to go to Charles Town Races in West Virginia. If the weather is good (they are talking about a wintry mix or something) then I'll be going with them to maybe bet on the horses and/or play the slots.

Ugh!!....you Florida people are driving me mad, with all your warm-weather plans and discussions!! It is 18 degrees here - read it: 18!!! - with a wicked wind chill.....

Actually, to help ease my mental angst, I am going to be planning a Florida vacation tonight! We had really wanted to do Disney again in '08, but budget coupled with the fact that we don't know when or where we're moving, we compromised and decided to try to go back to a condo that we stayed at 3 years ago (Mean Queen - it's in Madeira Beach; we could meet at Starbucks!! ). Doing this will allow us more flexibility to change our plans if needed, AND we'll get to spend TWO weeks! We'll do Busch Gardens one day, Tarpon Springs one day, play some mini golf, visit with my dad, and otherwise just hang out on the beach!!

Well I've got my DS11 spending the night at a friend's so I'm taking the other two out to the video store to get some movies. Be back later!

Sadly i had surgery a week ago so haven't been able to go out to get any which is truely a sad thing!
