Hmmm? What is that white stuff? It looks nothing like the "snow" I see at Disney every Winter. :confused3 I guess you have to take the good with the bad no matter where you live. We may have 8 months of Summer weather, but while others are snowed in we're just putting on jeans and long sleeve shirts.

In all honesty, it's the ice we get here that I could do without. New England is at a crossroads of weather systems, so we have to endure lots of temperature fluctuations and that wreaks havoc with the precip in winter! Nothing like a beautiful snowstorm that changes over to freezing rain and sleet. It's a pain in the butt to clean up and just plain dangerous to be out in!

<------BEWARE: user posting is considered a Disney Snob by close friends and family. :rolleyes1

Yeah, its really not much of a difference. The crowds USED to be smaller in September, but they're getting bigger now. August is still more crowded of course, but I think everyone is starting to discover the low crowd times. :(

Actually, I think Disney is starting to make great deals on the slow times, like free dining. It was so busy when we were just there.

I plan to do a trip report sometime tomorrow. We went to MGM before we left today, so I'm exhausted from our commando style tour.

Morning, ya'll. I had the night off last night and I was completely bored and didn't know what to do with myself. I was going to stay up all night, but I was tired from boredom. I have no idea what I'm going to do about sleeping today. I woke up at 7:00 and would like to be awake when DH gets home at 5:00. :confused3 The one thing I decided is that I'm not going to take Sunday nights off anymore. I'll stick with Thursday nights (Friday) instead.

It's so hard to get that overnight schedule down. Your body doesn't always want to cooperate with what you want to do. Hope you get to be up with DH tonight!

Howdy all! Started Week #2 of my job today - it is going quite well. Another dollar earned for Disney!!:goodvibes Oh yeah, and for some bills, too...:headache:

How's everyone today? Quiet on the thread so far!

I'm off to have a much-needed cup of coffee...I'll check in later.

It's been very quiet today! I never got to my trip report. I do the Expo TV reviews and I did reviews for all the stuff we did instead. I'll be back after dance class.

Hello everyone. Yes, it has been quiet on the thread today.
LegoMom - was your work today as busy as last week?
Mean Queen - how'd the little one do at MNSSHP?

if a slab of meat has some brown in the middle, should/could I still use it?

I have to know now b/c dh is wanting to cook with it tonight

Yes, we are quite busy! I guess they get quite a few orders this time of year, with the holidays coming up. You'd be surprised at how many uses a hat box has these days! But I don't mind being busy, it makes the time just fly by. I'm finally getting my groove and catching up with the others (nothing like the slow newbie to drag 'em down!:flower3: )

What does it smell like? I go on smell; "When in doubt throw it out." Is it hamburger? Sometimes that will get brown in the middle but if it smells like hamburger and not anything "funky" then you're ok.

choice bottom round steak for fajitas

Thanks for your quick replies :)

sorry for jumping in the thread so quickly.

Mean Queen, I can't wait to read your the TR, hope you'll provide a link to it ;)

I'm just going to do a trip report here, since I rarely do reports on the regular board.

Thursday - MNSSHP
We packed up the card, picked up our older daughter from school around Noon and headed for I-4. We made it to Disney in an hour and a half with a quick stop for lunch and Starbucks. I was already tired and knew we had a long night ahead.

We were the first of our group of 13 to get to SSR so we checked in. The Grand Villa wasn't ready, but it should be ready by 4. Since we still had to get ready for the party, I was so hoping it'd be ready before then. My girls watched the old Disney cartoons until their friends arrived, then chaos insued. 5 kids, one an antsy toddler, waiting impatiently in the lobby along with the impatient children of all the other people waiting. We checked on our room a few times, and luckily, it was ready by 3. We walked in and it was the same Villa we stayed in last year! We unpacked the cars and got ready for the party. After taking a bunch of pictures, we headed out for the bus. It was only about 4:30. We made it to the park and the first thing we did was head to the hat place. One member of our group needed to get some ears. We were hungry so we decided to go to Harbor House for fish and chips. But when we got there, we noticed NO line for HM. So we headed in to see some grim grinning ghosts. I was so thrilled with the makeover. Unfortunately, when we were done, Harbor House had just closed. So we went to Pinocchio's to eat. Since the party was about to officially start, this was the emptiest I've ever seen this place. We actually got to sit by the window overlooking Small World. The kids had a great time waving at people. Once we were all fed, we were ready to have some fun. We quickly hit Small World, Peter Pan, Dumbo!, and Pooh. We almost never ride Dumbo so this was a real treat. Then it was time to dance with Chip and Dale. At this point, we realized we had no candy! So we started hitting the treat lines, specifically the one behind Toon Town. It was starting to get late so we knew we had to hit what we could before the baby fell asleep. We all headed over to The Laugh Factory. Last time we went, our friend was "That Guy". This time, my DH was put on camera with the title "This guy has the urge to dance." So he did. :dancer: We were laughing so hard we were crying. Later on, my daughter was picked on out camera as a Princess (she was dressed as Belle.) They said she was the Princess of Florida and asked her a few questions. She loved it! After we finally stopped laughing, most of the group went to Space Mountain while a few of us hit the People Mover. The baby fell asleep on it for the second trip in a row. :rotfl: Unfortunately for her, the fireworks started soon after and woke her up. The parade was getting ready to start, so we headed over to get a spot. It is definitely better to hit the later parade, because we got an okay spot close to the start time. I got great video of the headless horseman riding through. We all loved the parade. When it was done, we had to hit POTC. We can't go without riding that one. But that was it for us. We were exhausted so we headed out. As we left, they were handing out regular size bags of Kissables by the handful, just in case you didn't get enough candy I guess. :lmao:

Next report - Chef Mickey's and Epcot
