SMILEY!!.....I LOVE THE BEE!

.

Thank you!! I like it too. I want to change my siggy. but nothing seems right. So I guess for now I'm leaving it alone. Unless one of you have any ideas. How are you today? Did your dad get off okay? I know you hated to see him leave. And you gotta let us know about the camper.

Yeah, I messed with my siggie recently and finally settled on the countdown tickers (the trip one for obvious reasons!.. And the weight-loss one so that I am forced to look at it several times daily and keep my butt in gear...:headache: ).

Are you thinking of parting with heart-farting Pooh?!! :scared1: (there's a poem or ode in there somewhere... ).

Yes, we got my dad to the airport. I have to say the boys and I have had a tough afternoon since he left. There was all kinds of emotion around here!! I also realized that he's lived in the South and away from me my entire adult life. :sad1:

Time to move!!

Ok, the camper! Help me out, guys. We really, really like the idea of the camper. It needs a good cleaning (been sitting unused for over a year) but is otherwise in darn good shape for its age. It's roomy inside and has a nice big kitchen area. And a bathroom!!!! Those of you with weak bladders will appreciate the difference that makes over a small pop-up. The kitchen table and "living room" couch fold down into beds, and there's a separate "master" bedroom at the far end, with its own door and everything! There are more storage cabinets than I've ever seen in a camper!!

However, it's 29-feet long. It's big... DH isn't sure our van could pull it without some modification, and isn't big on putting that money into it right now. It's also not terribly practical for towing around to different campgrounds, and we're not sure we can afford a seasonal site somewhere next year (or even in the next two or three years). If we ever got the thing to Florida, it would be SWEET at Fort Wilderness!!

So, I don't know. The pop-up is much smaller and far easier to tow, but has very limited amenities and *ahem*...no bathroom...:rolleyes1 It's a tough call!

Wow, that is a tough call to make. I really do like the idea of having a camper that size to take to disney. On second thought maybe that isn't such a good idea. You would probably live in the camper at Disney instead of your house in Ocala. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: My weak bladder symphathizes with your weak bladder. Indoor plumbing is hard to pass up.:rotfl2:

LegoMom: I have a pop-up too so I know how nice it would be to move up. If by van you mean minivan, I am thinking that the 29 foot camper may be too heavy. Is it a light model? You aren't by any chance planning on purchasing a truck any time soon are ya?:lmao: Sounds great if your vehicle can tow it and you don't mind moving it around to different campsites. My bladder won't last all night either. I have to get up and pee every night even when camping. I am an expert at squatting in the woods.

Now that would make a good tag! But that's also the reason I do not camp unless it's Disney camping. I like indoor plumbing for my bathroom needs.

No, it's a full-size Ford van. It has a big V-8 engine in it (yeah, real good on gas.... ) but at the very least it needs a frame hitch (we use the bumper hitch for the pop-up). It might also need some tweaking in the rear suspension.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMG that's SO true!!!!!!! Once upon a time, DH and I were avid backpackers and thought nothing of spending a weekend out in the wilderness (no campgrounds!). Then I had kids and got old[er].... I'm lucky if I only get up once to pee in the middle of the night! :lmao:

Morning all! No big plans for us today.

That sounds like a relaxing day in the making!! It's rainy and even a little cool here right now. Did you get everything accomplished yesterday that you were hoping to? I really didn't do anything yesterday. So I get to play catch up today. :sad2:

Those of us who are total princesses...cough, cough, ahem, yours truly, cough...appreciate this the most.

I love the idea of camping. As long as the bugs and I reach an understanding - you don't come near me and I won't step on you.

And as much as I don't mind sleeping in a tent even, I can't be without 'facilities'. A toilet and shower, in particular.

So, until the forest starts to flush, this princess will be at the motel down the road. ;)

Oh, and good morning all.

Off to celebrate my dad's gradumacation at breakfast with my family. I hope you all have a great day!

:flower3:

Not so much. It's turned into a clean the house and get laundry done day. :laundy:

I have to admit camping in the middle of the woods got a lot more complicated when kids came.

I don't have any plans for today. My DD told me last night she needed help with an English project. I have no idea what that meant. She is still sleeping. All I know is that it is due tomorrow and she said it will take a long time. Guess what she will be doing most of the day?
