Just one more thing to look forward to when you move here to FLA. But by then, maybe prices will go down. I did realize that it's not $20 more a month, because they cut out my insurance and prior media package. So it's only $10 more. Not too bad.

I looked them up on Apple's web site last night. The 8G is still going for $399, and I think the 16 was $499? The plans for an individual start at $59.99/mo., which I don't think is too bad (I know I'll be the only one using one of these babies...!).

Moving to Florida: we are actually considering taking our house off the market until next spring and see what the market is like at that point. Not that I'm some anxious to endure another NH winter, but there is just NO movement in the "normal" housing market here right now. There are so many foreclosures, and buyers can get such a steal with those, that that's where it's all happening right now. And truth be told, as much as I'm waiting for that yard with a palm tree, I'm really really sick of living on that edge, where one e-mail or phone call could change our lives and send us into a tail spin. I just wanna unpack the stuff that's been in a box for a year, go out and work in my yard, take a deep breath and be able to relax again. DS11 is headed to camp in NY state again this year, we have a Disney trip all set up, and I'm tired of the constant unknown.

But I won't have an iPhone anytime soon...!:upsidedow

Now is definitely not the time to sell a house. I wish I had extra money, I'd be one of those people trying to buy property for cheap. You know it will always go back up again down here.

It is much nicer to be able to see the future rather than have no clue where you'll be in a few months.

So just in case we're all here lurking again, I'll jump in and be "vocal!"

Actually, I'm here to vent... We have a house showing tomorrow afternoon and I am NOT excited. At all. In the least. They are 1st time buyers. That is who is typically interested in a house like ours. Actually, they wanted to come out today but we basically need 24-hour notice to show (what with three boys living here!!). I don't care, I'm not hopeful, and once again my head is starting to spin. I hate this feeling!!! And with my dumb luck, now that I'm settled and not wanting to sell right now, and planning out our summer and the bulk of the rest of the year, NOW we will get an offer..... :headache:

Then again, if Murphy's Law works for me as it so often does, maybe the more I talk up the showing as a positive thing, the more likely it will be to go nowhere! :rotfl:

So pathetic, aren't I?!

Ugh. So even when you think your life is no longer unsettled, you find out it is. I'm not sure what result you want, but I hope you get it. :cutie:

I've been checking in, but didn't feel like talking to myself. I never asked, who's your favorite on AI this year? I was very upset when Michael Johns got kicked off. But my favorite is David Cook. My DH figured out how to get his songs as ringtones for my iPhone. Now when people call, it will say "Hello, is it me you're looking for?" :lmao: I'm off to dance in a few minutes. I'll be back later.

My favorite by far is David Archuletta. Carly Smithson is second. Tonight they are singing Mariah Carey songs. I'm so excited! She has incredible range and it will be fun to see which contestants can pull it off. I was a little disappointed about Michael Johns leaving. I think Kristy or Sayesha should have gone before him.

I'm a huge David Cook fan. There's just something about David A. that bothers me. He has an amazing voice, but he is so boring to me. Carly is my second favorite too, now that Michael Johns is gone. :sad2:

I hope Kristy goes home, but it will be either Syesha or Carly.

Good morning! It's supposed to be in the 70's today. Too bad I will spend most of the day in bed. Oh well. I hope it will last into the weekend when I can enjoy it.

I have a question for moms as I watch a segment on GMA about baby bottles. It got me to wondering, does infant milk such as Similac have to be heated before it's served, or is the warming something that is done to make it more soothing for the baby?

Approaching 70 here this week, too! :cool1:

Heating formula is more for comfort (breast-feeding will obviously give a warm product, so it's supposed to simulate that). You don' want to give it to them cold, as in right out of the fridge, as that can cause colic, but room temp to luke-warm is fine.

Ok, in case anyone is dying to know....

We have an offer. It's pretty low, but there's negotiating room. The part of the deal that made bells and whistles go off in my head was that the people are "open to a closing date," meaning it wouldn't have to be the standard 6 weeks set in stone. The kids are less than 2 months from the end of the school year. Would be nice for them to finish up there. Also gives DH time to job-hunt.

So, it's far from "done" but that's how it went and I'll keep you all posted!

This is wonderful! (Right? At last check, you weren't quite sure what you wanted.)

This is indeed a tough time to be selling, so I hope this works out however you'd like it to. And the negotiating room for a closing date sounds like it was meant for you.

Everything in it's time, in it's season. :goodvibes:

Wow! You could be spending your first Summer in the Florida heat! Would that change your Disney travel plans?

Hey thanks and congrats on the offer. If the sale goes through will you still go to the World?

Good morning all. Looking out to be a balmy 60 degrees here in Beantown by noonish. I think I might go out and spend my lunch, reading in the sun and soaking up some Vitamin D.

:flower3:

Don't congratulate me yet. Apparently "negotiating room" is supposed to be entirely on our part! :scared1: Which makes me laugh at their offer that was almost $25k less than our asking!!! :rotfl2: We're not even going to counter. If they truly only want to spend the kind of money they're offering, there are other homes for sale in the area at that price point. If they really like this place and really want it, they'll have to do better. It may be that they're feeling us out, since we've been on the market for 7 months. But we're far from desperate.

Will we go to the World if we move?? Good question and I have no idea. Would depend on where we ended up (because as much as moving to FL is a dream, the reality is just not that practical right now).

I'll keep you updated as the saga continues! :thumbsup2

Woo-hoo for real spring! :woohoo: I think we're supposed to be 74 today!!!! My snow is finally almost gone and after I grocery shop this morning, I'll be outside doing yard work. And this is a good thing, honest!

SmileyBug....:grouphug: My dad had a heart attack, too, 13 years ago! He's better than ever today, I'm happy to say. Glad yours is pulling through. Scary, though, isn't it?
