Maybe spring is finally springing! The Robins are starting to sing in the neighborhood, so that's a good sign. And my Goldfinches are turning bright yellow!

Spring? It's almost Summer here. Our WDW trip was nice, but we realized it's definitely getting warmer. We had made most of our plans for the day, but the kids just wanted to go back and swim. I guess it's already time to just go early morning and late evenings. Here's a little trip report, since it was a little trip. First, the pictures of the hats the girls made. The evil man about to splash them is my DH.
On our second day, we went to Epcot. We had lunch at France then checked out some of the Flower & Garden exhibits. They have some nice play areas for kids. We did a lot of shopping at Mouse Gears. We only rode on Test Track and Spaceship Earth before going back to swim.
On Tuesday, we got up early for MK day. We managed to get there just before 9 so DH and DD's got to see the opening show for the first time. They really liked it. We then rushed to the barber shop. DD's friend had never had a hair cut and was going to get her hair cut for locks of love. Her mom thought it would be cool for her to have her first official hair cut at Disney. She and my DD also had their hair done there. The barber shop puts their hair in a ponty tail, covers it in colored gel and lots of glitter. It's very cute and much cheaper than BBB. The girls were wearing matching Sharpay from HSM outfits.
Then it was time for breakfast at the castle, or so we thought. We were too early. So we jumped on the carousel and Snow White's Scary Adventure before heading back to check in. We got our picture done with Cinderella then headed up the winding staircase for breakfast. The waitress brought us baskets of yummy pastries and fruit, then a plate full of eggs, bacon, sausage, stuffed french toast, and potato casserole. We all ate a lot. But my DD2 loved it the most. She paid no attention to the princesses, she was too busy eating. Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, and Aurora all stopped by our table. It was really a nice meal with a beautiful view.
We left and hit a few rides before going back so my DD2 could actually get a nap. After a 3 hour one, we headed to the Yacht club for dinner at the Captain's Grille. The food was very good, the desserts not so much.
On our last day, we hit DTD for lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express followed by a lot of shopping. My DD8 had saved most of her money to shop the last day. Even though we didn't do a lot, we were still exhausted.
We love our friends we go with, but they do not parent their son (11.) They let him climb on furniture then jump onto other furniture or the floor. I woke up one morning to find he had put the chairs on the counters. The dad says he thinks we're stifling creativity when we tell our children not to do things, like run at the pool. Argh. It was frustrating and exhausting. My friend and her DD are not like that, it's almost like 2 families.
