Anyone else have weekend plans?

.

My DH is into fantasy baseball. We're having the draft at our house. My DD and I call it the big stinky guy party. I may take the girls and do something girly while they're here being loud. Otherwise, we just need to finish doing laundry and getting ready for the end of Spring Break.

Wow, another painfully slow day on the Tagless thread!! Yikes, I hope we don't "die."

I am going to be coloring/highlighting my hair this weekend, for the first time ever. The idea is to cover the ever-increasing gray... I don't have a lot but it's enough (and right front-and-center up top....) that it's making me look older than I'm ready for! :scared1:

Then tomorrow night and Sunday it's just me and DH! :cloud9:

After covering half my bathroom in color the last time I did it myself, I started going to a professional. I wasn't going to risk messing up my newly remodeled bathroom. I have an appointment next week to get a touch up. It's expensive, but worth it. Let us know how your coloring goes.

The Tag Fairy finally came to see me! :cool1:

Hey, you're one of the newly-tagged red heads I saw over on the "Have you seen..." thread earlier!! COOL!

Thanks for dropping in on us, it's been getting sparse around here.

I'm still holding out for a scrolling tag...:lovestruc

Mean Queen: I'm just doing some highlights (brush/wand application) and the stuff is pretty pasty (I did a test today) so hopefully it won't be too disastrous!

I'm guessing you're a big fan of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium? I haven't watched it yet. I was going to get it on Netflix, but I'm thinking of cancelling (not getting enough use.)

I love it, love it, LOVE IT!!! It's just such a neat story. Dustin Hoffman is SO good as Mr. Magorium. Actually everyone plays their part perfectly, it is very well cast. It's just "me" as far as movies go. And even though the character of Molly Mahoney is - *ahem* - much younger than I am (!), I can really relate to her (I won't give out any spoilers in case you end up seeing it sometime!).

ETA: the ol' siggie was looking a bit worn and tired to me anyway, so I just went nuts!

I just added it to Netflix before I cancel. I've wanted to see it, but it was in and out of the theater in a heartbeat. I love Jason Bateman. He's always been good in comedies.

Me too....:lovestruc

Anyway, moving on now!!!!! :flower3:

Congrats Metro West on your tag.

Yesterday we celebrated our nine year anniversary. We took the day off work and had a fabulous lunch at a seafood restaurant. It was the best food I've had in a long time. Lunch turned in to dinner because the lunch menu didn't offer what we wanted which was surf & turf.

I ordered 1/2 lb. of king crab legs and a 6 oz. filet. DH ordered a 14 oz NY strip and a lobster tail. The entrees came with a choice of salad or crab slaw but because we were new customers the server gave us a little of both. Normally I don't like slaw but it was delicious with big chunks of fresh crab and nice sized chunks of cabbage. I could have made a meal out of that! My filet was cooked a perfect medium well and practically melted in my mouth. The king crab legs were thick and meaty. As if that wasn't enough, we had a choice of another side item. I chose the penne pasta with mushrooms, tomatoes and topped with parmesan cheese. Delicious!

DH loved his strip and lobster tail. I had a bite of the lobster, it was really good. It was huge and I knew it would cost a fortune at market rate but it was worth it. He chose the asparagus as a side item but enjoyed my penne much more. The server we had was very sweet and pleasant. She told another table that she has been working there fifteen years. When we finished up the entrees she told us the decorative orchids on the plate were edible and we should try them. I told her I was too full and she said she hoped not because she had a surprise for us. She brought us a piece of cheesecake that was sinfully delicious. Nice gesture. They made a great impression and we will definitely go back again. Today at 4:00 we are headed to the spa for a couples massage - swedish for one hour. It's a sunny day and 61 degrees.
:cool1:

DO - what a great anniversary! I love surf & turf. You've made me very hungry. The couples massage sounds like heaven. DH and I are scheduling one for November on the Disney cruise.

9 Years!!! WTG!!!! party:

Very cool! Congratulations. I see you also got to keep your location, but it's now in color.
Yeah...I didn't know they sometimes change the location.

Thanks...I'm sure it'll come!

Congrats Metro West on your tag.
Thanks! :teeth:

Hi gals.:wave2: Sorry I've been away for a while. I've been pretty busy lately with family in town and work.

Got a new tag. This is the one I've been secretly hoping for...The Jambo Wildbunch tag. Needless to say, I'm thrilled! :woohoo:

DeterminedOne, Happy anniversary. Wow, nine years. That's great.

MeanQueen, Loved reading your mini trip report. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

LegoMom3, How's it going with your house. Any nibbles, yet?

Welcome back, Blue. I'm thrilled for you too! :)

When we arrived for the massage they took us to seperate rooms. I questioned it and was told the couples room is under construction. :confused3 That was not revealed to me when the reservation was made so I felt justified in politely declining the service. They were cool about it and offered us 20% off when we go back. Long story, not so short - the couples massage was a bust! Oh well.

The weather is lovely so we took a ride around the city.

Good to see you again and congrats on the wildbunch tag.

You think they would have called to let you know ahead of time. When someone books a couples massage, they generally want to do it as a couple... not just at the same time. :confused3 Sorry it was a bust, but the ride around the city sounds nice.

Thanks, everyone. Glad to talk to you again.

What's everyone up to today?

What's everyone up to today?

We had our yard resodded last week, so this week we planted flowers. Woo hoo! We're party people. Now I'm fighting putting my 2 year old down for a nap while my DH happily naps away. Somehow, I get no weekends from my job as full time mom. :headache:

Thanks, everyone. Glad to talk to you again.

What's everyone up to today?

I was up bright and early but my internet was down. It came back up around 1:00 right before I left to run the usual weekend errands. It's sunny again, 63 degrees so we're cooking steaks on the grill. We've certainly had our share of protein the past few days.
