she was with my grandparents, because they live half an hour away and have a huge garden and fields around

Ok, I am really starting to feel like the 3rd wheel here....! You guys are talking all about chicken butts, and over on Tink's Lapu thread it's all about potty training!!! I have nothing in common with any of this!


Funny story for those of you familiar with the web site that Tinkerbellarella and I get all those cat pictures from:

Last night we are on our way home from having visited with friends at their camp. As we get off the highway, we are about to pass McDonalds', so of course this is the kids' cue to start in on how starving they are and can we pleeeeease stop!? DH and I are hesitant because we're only 10 minutes from home.

Then, from the back seat of the car, out of the mouth of the 11-yr. old....






"icanhascheezburger??"




DH and I busted out laughing, it was a freakin' RIOT!!!!!!!



And then we promptly turned in McDonald's . If that doesn't get a kid a cheeseburger, nothing will!


So how was everyone's Fourth?

Last night I went on a Booze Cruise in a bay with my brother and 2 friends. My brother paid as incentive to finish his bathroom. He also gave me $20 to buy drinks, but I only had 1. They were so strong and I'm not used to alcohol. Plus the swaying on the boat makes you feel like you have had more. The band was good as usual and it was fun dancing. Tired today.

He knows how to get what he wants. Potty training talk? Maybe I should head over to Tinks Lapu thread. We're in the beginning stages with DD2. I forgot how much I hate potty training.

We had a good 4th. The condo was relaxing, yet exhausting at the same time. We swam a lot. Plus, since it was out at the end of nowhere, we had most of our meals at the condo. This made a lot of work for me and the other mom. It's amazing how much 9 people can eat and drink. Though DD2 must not have been that tired. As we left the condo, she said "Go to Didney?" I said, "No, we're going home." She said "No wanna go home. Go to Didney!" Then she passed out 5 minutes later.

After the kids went to sleep, dh and I stayed up until 2am with his sister and her husband drinking cosmos, smoking cigars, and playing spades. I felt like crap Sat morning.
