Well, here we are at Monday - new day, new week. I hope we're all back and ready to chat a bit!!!

My but it was a quiet weekend around here...! I popped in a couple of times but there just wasn't much of anything going on.

So Friday we stuck around here; spent the afternoon at our town beach and the kids had a blast. Saturday we headed up to the Lakes area and spent the day with friends at their campsite. Really fun day! Yesterday we stayed home again, and visited with some friends the next street over for a while. Last night DH took the boys to see fireworks the next town over. I stayed home to get to bed early because I had to get up for work this morning....

GOOD MORNING!!



Having a hard time getting myself moving this morning. The smoke alarm in our room went off at 2:30 this morning. (Get your minds out of the gutter ) They are hardwired in but probably have battery backup. I guess it's time to change the batteries. So... maybe this is a good time for all of you to check your alarms. That way we can all be safe together.

GOOD MORNING!!



Having a hard time getting myself moving this morning. The smoke alarm in our room went off at 2:30 this morning. Thanks for the coffee Smiley. I'm having an iced non-fat venti caramel macchiato from Starbucks. My DH just hates when I order, he says I should get a lot more than one drink for all that.

I dropped older DD off at dance camp. The little one and I are just relaxing around the house. She's a bit grumpy today. I think she likes when we vacation with our friends because she has so many other kids to play with. Though I think she also appreciates just sit on the couch and watch the Wiggles days with mommy (like today.)

Hope you don't set off any more alarms today.

I'm not going to be here very often for the next week. We are having a family reunion at our home on saturday. I will be spending the rest of this week getting ready for it. Then next monday my brother is having major surgery. ​

I really should be getting busy. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now. This "reunion" has mushroomed on me. But I guess "get togethers" have a way of doing that. My Brother is having most of his large intestines removed. He's in for a long recovery. (We are all getting nervous for him) I wasn't on much yesterday because I ended up spending most of the day out with my oldest brother. It was such a nice day. Then last night we took the kids out for supper. By time we got home it was time for the Bachalorette. Hubby, DD and I have been watching so of course we had to watch to see who got the finale rose. (Wow, what a shock that was!!) Well, here I am rambling. I'll talk to all of you later. Have a great day.

Yeah, I tuned in for the final, too! I can't say I was completely surprised. As great a guy as Jason was, the one gal (cousin?...friend?) made the comment that if she chose him, her life would instantly fast-forward 5 years, and as far as "where you are in your life", she seemed more in-tune with Jesse. I like Jesse so I was happy!
