Hey ya'll. Well, its already been an exciting morning. We have a small earthquake. Just 3.2. But enough to let you know it was there. Had a wee bit of shaking going on. They are happening more and more often.

Mean Queen.... Can't believe your little one is turning into a big girl. She was just a little thing when this thread started. Come to think of it we have all experienced some milestones together in this thread. Here's to many more. :grouphug: But, sometimes I really wish we could slow things down just a bit. :goodvibes I just realized that both you and SadieDog are remodeling "new" rooms for your DD's today. Awwwwww. :grouphug: Okay......sappy moment over. Darn menopause. :sad2:
LegoMom....I'm going to do some more organizing today. I have to go grocery shopping later. I never made it to the store yesterday. I may go to the shooting range. But we will see. Hubby has a ton of work to do. So it doesn't look like any date time today. :sad2:

PaMom....I hope your afternoon is enjoyable and goes by quickly. :goodvibes

creativeamanda....I hope whatever you are up to today is enjoyable. :goodvibes

Ooh!..Me!...Me! I don't wanna be responsible!!...:lmao: I would love to buy DVC but it's just not feasible. The biggest "responsible" choice facing me with Disney is wondering if I'll keep our camping resv's or cave in and do Free Dining @ POR again....:headache: (freedininganyone?!)

Well, I don't miss the every single day late-afternoon wash out!! But, right about now I would take a week of steady rain to water the ground, replenish the wells, and raise the level of the ponds back to normal!

Ah yes...the upgrade to "big kid!" I think TK just went through that not too long ago with her DS. Is you DD having a "theme" with her new set?

.

I say do PR with free dining. Your new life is all about camping, take a break and enjoy some luxury... and lots of really good food.

We got DD3 a bunk bed. It's pink, purple and green with flower knobs. It also has lots of cubbies and drawers in the bunk bed. It's more like a T, than traditional bunk beds.

Smiley - a big ol' back to you

You know, I'm all about camping, but the thing with me is my pea-sized bladder and not having a full-service camper!...:lmao: Nothing like having to schlepp out in the middle of the night to the comfort station, nice though they are. I've decided to leave this one up to my family, though. If they want something different (and Thanksgiving at WDW, for that matter....we won't have that if we do FD and POR) we'll go camping.

I love that type of bunk bed that you described! I'll bet it's adorable in those colors and with the flower knobs.:goodvibes

I'm back. Overall I am feeling better, but right now I have a bad throbbing sinus headache.

Everything except the laptop went well. Check in took a total of 2 minutes tops. The move in was interesting. Tons of people lined up going back and forth in the heavy rain and wind. At one point it was so windy, the rain was coming down sideways into your face. We discovered it was easier walking up and down 4 flights of stairs than waiting for the elevator.

We stayed and helped her get organized and set up. Most parents seemed to bring stuff into the rooms and leave. I made sure to ask if she wanted us to stay or leave. I didn't want to over stay our welcome. :lmao: I was glad she wanted us to stay and help. She went to lunch with her roommate and another girl while my husband and I made a Target run. When we got back, we could not get her laptop connected to the internet nor could we get her mouse to work. I felt bad leaving that way, but we had no idea what to do. She was going to go down to the front desk and ask if there was someone who could help her. When we left, she was not in the best mood b/c she was concerned about her laptop. I can understand that. It was difficult saying bye. OMG I can't believe she is gone.

Oh that sounds cute. I like the T bunk beds.

Hi everyone!

Wow, there sure has been a lot of excitment around here!

LegoMom, are you keeping a journal? I think you need to seriously consider writing a book about your adventures in Texas and all the critters you're meeting. :thumbsup2

Hi Smiley! How are you doing?

PAMom, I feel for you on working when it's dead. I love it when it's busy at the bank, it just makes the time fly so much faster. Like today, we were slammin'!

Sadiedog, big :grouphug: for you. I know this must be an emotional time bringing your daughter to school.

Kimmar, happy to see you around again!

MeanQueen, isn't it a little bittersweet when they get big kid furniture? I made a huge deal out of it for my son, but it was still really hard for me.

CreativeAmanda, hi!

See must be off to college now, huh?

Look at everyone and the back to school routine!

I finally got the pictures uploaded of my tie dye shirts, LegoMom, I'll do that in a separate post. :goodvibes

This is my first time using dyes from Dharma Trading Company, and I really like them. I got some interesting colors, and that's one of the things that I love about tie dye. You can think a shirt will come out a certain way, but you never really know, and it's so cool. It's like unwrapping a present, I love making them.

Anyway, enough about that. Just wanted to share because there was some interest. And yes, those are my toes in some of the photos! Sorry, I thought I stepped back enough. :lmao:

I like the one with the Mickey in the left corner. . .I will have to think about that when I finally send you my order. . .

I actually got that idea from one of the gals on the tie dye thread. She's done it before, and I thought, why not try something different? :goodvibes

I'll have to remember that you like that. :thumbsup2

....

I was all ready to reply to this right after my last post and I lost my Internet connection!

Anywho!....Smileybug, WOW! What a way to start your day! Is there a known fault line in your area?

Hi everyone!

LegoMom, are you keeping a journal? I think you need to seriously consider writing a book about your adventures in Texas and all the critters you're meeting. :thumbsup2

....

Actually, I do write (and keep a journal!). I've done a few small articles but I have a whole book in my head about this great adventure and need to find time to get it out on paper! (or, er - computer!).

Now: I really, really need to know how to make those shirts!! Did you say you got the idea or instructions on a DIS forum? How is the Mickey outline put there?!!

.

I just want y'all to know, that armadillos are capable of running and can, in fact, leap when the situation calls for it....

:rotfl:

So we got a new puppy today. Of our own. CUTEST. THING. EVER. He was a stray in town; some kind soul took him in but couldn't keep him, and now we have him. He's black with a white nose and white toes....looks like he ran through paint! Some kind of mix but his face is all Scottie dog.

Anyway, he was running around with the neighbor puppy this evening...they were having a BLAST! We were going back to the house from the work shed and as the dogs passed some bushes, all of a sudden this armadillo SHOT out and tore across the field!!

Did I mention the other day that armadillos don't like dogs??!....:lmao: Apparently not!

My feet are killing me. Standing for 6 hours on a floor that has industrial carpet, which has no padding, is going to be the death of me.

What are you doing for work now? (sorry, I probably missed it when I was moving and off Internet for a while!)

Good. I'll be holding you to this and reminding you to write! ;)

Now: I really, really need to know how to make those shirts!! Did you say you got the idea or instructions on a DIS forum? How is the Mickey outline put there?!!

.

It's really simple. I'll PM you the instructions, it's a thread on the DISigns board that I belong to. I differ slightly from the the instructions. Whereas they recommend stitching in the Mickey head before you dye, I just band up a circle and then paint it on with bleach afterwards. And if that seems like Greek, the thread explains it much better than I do. With pictures! :goodvibes

Yay for the new puppy! And oh my gosh, that's so funny about the armadillo! I didn't even know they could move that fast, but I guess anything with the proper motivation, right?

My feet are killing me. Standing for 6 hours on a floor that has industrial carpet, which has no padding, is going to be the death of me.

Aw!

I hear you. Our "carpet" is basically laid over a concrete floor. In the three years I've worked at the bank, I have wrecked my feet. I recommend highly supportive shoes.

Well, I got everything moved in this weekend  Hope everyone is doing well

Oh, I'm so excited for you! When do classes start?

:grouphug: SadieDog, do you have any other kids at home or is DD your only?

My son is 14 and starts High School tomorrow.
Oldest starting College, Youngest starting High School. :scared1: Where have the years gone?

LegoMom, EXCITING Puppy pictures please. :flower3: I want to see an armadillo. :rotfl2:

TarzansKat, LOVE the shirts.

Smiley, Wow earthquake

PaMom, that would hurt my feet and back too.

Seewhatimesdone, good luck!

What are you doing for work now? (sorry, I probably missed it when I was moving and off Internet for a while!)

I had managed to get a part time job at a Hallmark store. I'll be working through the school year 2-3 nights a week and every other weekend.
