Tables in Wonderland Returning?

So DVC resale owners can not buy TIW ?
When it was being sold it was avaliable to Florida residents, AP holders and direct (blue card) DVC owners. I have seen reports of resale DVC owners purchasing it but when I asked I was told it was only for direct members.

It depends on when you purchased resale. Many older resale owners have the blue card. When Disney added their latest round of restrictions, newer resale owners got the white card instead of the blue card.

My niece is a white card holder and was able to purchase it without issue. Now, we don't know if it returns if it will have new rules, but pre Covid, it was any DVC owner.

I know they sometimes give conflicting information but in 2017 when I asked at guest relations at Disney Springs I was told it was considered Membership Extras and required a blue membership card. At the time I had only the white card. I was however able to purchase it as I was also purchasing platinum APs.

May have been bad info.

Anything new on TIW being made available again? Also, has anyone tried to use their expired card recently? We were able to use our expired card in April (2021), despite it being well past the extension. Not sure if that was just a sympathetic server, or more of a widespread thing?

No word yet on whether or not TIW is coming back, unfortunately. And all TIW cards received a 4-month extension. For instance, ours was originally set to expire February 28 and was extended to June 30. So look at your card - the new expiration is the end of the 4th month after the month shown there.

If I log into Disneyvacation.com, and go to 2021 member benefits, this is what it says for TIW:

“Check back later for details about a special discount for Disney Vacation Club Members—available when Tables in Wonderland memberships are on sale again.”

Don’t you think they’d scratch that and NOT ask you to check back later if they were doing away with it? It also says it will be on sale again.

Is that just standard boilerplate language that I’m reading too much into, or does anyone else take that as a positive sign it’ll be back and pretty soon?

I certainly hope it returns. As a local who used the card frequently (1-2 times a week), I can say that it will definitely affect how often we will be going to a Disney restaurant or bar. I get that people from across the country and world are willing to pay more when they're on vacation, but locals have more options than spending $20+ on a burger and $10++ on an adult beverage. TIW made it seem more reasonable, especially with the free valet parking. We've even held off renewing our annual pass that just expired because of this. Let's hope it's just temporary.
